Peaceful location, only 2 minute walk from the centre of Morzine with all shops restaurants and bars within easy reach. The ski lifts in town (pleny and super Morzine) are only a 10 minute walk through town and can be seen from the balcony. There are 3 other ski lifts (Ardents, Prodains and Nyon) all reached by a free bus service, with stops for all 3 lifts within a 2 minute walk from the apartment. This is the perfect spot to access all the different areas that make up the Portes-Du-Soleil ski area. The apartment has been completely refurbished to a very high standard (completed December 2012). It is on the top floor of a charming privately owned chalet with a balcony offering uninterrupted views over the whole town and the ski slopes, from the rear windows are dramatic views of the Avoriaz resort perched on top of sheer cliffs.

Excellent apartment and location
Just back from a great 7 nights at Le Sappy in Morzine. The location is incredible, with great views across Morzine and very easy access down to the shops and restaurants (the uphill return being slightly harder...). We used Morzine as a base to explore the wider area, including a day trip to Chamonix Mont-Blanc, as well as a couple of days cycling, taking in Col de l'Encrenaz (twice, because the road to Ramaz was evidently shut), Col de la Joux Plane and Avoiraz (the Col de la Joux Verte from Morzine). If you are visiting in September/October, it's worth noting this is the off-season and so a lot of work is underway on the roads. Most cols had at least minor roadworks in place, but in other instances (e.g. Joux Plane from Morzine), they are completely impassable on weekdays.
The apartment itself is mostly well kitted out. The kitchen seems very new, with a good oven and hob and plenty of pots, pans and utensils for all your cooking needs. The balcony is large, with seating for 4 people and stunning views and there's plenty of hot water for showers. You also get use of a lockable 'cave' which easily handled 2 bikes and 2 bike boxes with room to spare, so if you're cycling of skiing, there's plenty of secure storage.
Things to consider are that this is a top floor apartment and therefore is built into the sloping roof. The ceilings in both bedrooms are very low - lower than I'd anticipated from the photographs. They're very cosy, but everyone has bumped their head on the beams. I'd say you'll only do it once and learn to adjust,but someone who shall remain nameless managed to do it once a night getting out of bed...!
Jon (the owner) was great in the lead up to and during our stay, with regular communication and made it all very easy. Even accommodated friends joining us for a couple of nights and had the second room prepared for them.
This is a 5 star location and owner in my opinion. The 4 star rating reflects that some of the furnishing is a bit tired - e.g. the sofa has lost most of it's cushioning. Nothing major and I expect this is just part of the natural cycle of a rental property and items reaching a point where they need refreshed. Would recommend this property to others.
Ideally placed comfortable apartment for family of 4
We enjoyed our stay here - the apartment was well equipped clean and comfortable. Low ceilings in bedrooms for those tall people. Fantastic views all around and easy walking distance to Morzine town, bars, restaurants, activities and shops.

The property was fairly small but perfect for what we needed and well equipped, there is a lot to do in Morzine at all times of the year and this apartment gave us the base we needed. It was very easy to find, very clean and accessible.

Perfectly located for all activities in morzine
A spacious, clean,well equipped and comfortable apartment in a perfect location for all activities. Fantastic view from the sunny balcony and a couple of minutes walk to shops and chair lifts.Spent a fab week with two older teenagers walking, mountain biking and enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Morzine is a beautiful and friendly town and booking the apartment was so easy.
Great property with a wonderful view over Morzine
Our property was in great order and really handy to the local supermarket. Loads to do in Morzine. The only minor issue was that our stay coincided with a big Harley Davidson gathering - bit noisy for a few days!!
Fantastic apartment great view and well equipped
I was very happy with my stay here , on first arrival you walk in to the views of Morzine including the pleney lift , it was very clean and well equipped with basic sky TV, fast internet and all the cooking / cleaning utensils which made it great staying in or going out
The only issue is the storage for bikes it's down stairs and a very small room 2 bikes maximum ! And very awkward , we ended up leaving the bikes in the van as Morzine came across as a safe town.
Morzine is a very popular resort, which is part of the huge Porte du Soleil ski area. It is an old, picturesque town with bags of character, which has excellent facilities for both winter and summer.
Apart from the endless and varied ski runs, there are many other attractions that make Morzine a special place. You can experience the atmosphere of a small Alpine town steeped in history, with plenty of opportunities for shopping and eating out. The night life has a lot to offer with many bars, restaurants, 2 cinemas and several late nightclubs.
Families looking for entertainment and facilities for children will find lots to do to keep the young ones happy.
Brand new skate park opening summer 2015. Amazing outdoor 50m pool with 2 extra kids pools with waterslides, adjoining an indoor pool complex completed 2012 with sauna and steam rooms. Kids climbing/activity areas in both Morzine by the river and Les Gets by the lake. Canyoning extreme activity by the waterfalls at Nyon, with death slides. Les Gets swimming lake worth a visit in the summer. 2 golf courses. Horse riding, plus much much more!
All bed linen and towels are provided. The apartment is cleaned before and after your stay. Reservation deposit : 50% of the rental price. A security deposit for breakages €200 is required prior to your arrival. We aim for the changeover day to be a Sunday during the winter season and Saturday during Summer. The apartment is available from 3pm and needs to be vacated by 10am.
