Fabio Massimo Romano purchased this apartment in 2011
Because it's best place in Rome to live or to spend vacation. It's so quiet and in the center of the town and for me it was dream to walk in 'Trastevere'. And it's so charming and to come for airports there is Trastevere Rail Station (less than an 45 minutes ) and 5 mn by foot for the apartment. It's very easy to go everywhere in Rome.
Why this apartment versus a hotel for a trip to Rome? Hotels in Rome are expensive and a 4 star hotel in Rome is closer to a 3 star hotel on international standards also with 20 million tourists pouring into Rome a year the service and quality is not always as one would expect. Also eating out 3 times a day can become very expensive. By having a base where you can prepare and eat quick inexpensive meals can mean huge savings. There are bakeries located within few minutes from the apartment and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Water is drinkable from the tap, however the apartment comes with a bottle of mineral water.
We stayed at this flat while visiting the Trastevere area. Very good location. It was clean. I loved the kitchen. The internet was spotty if more than one person tried to get on, but was able to always get on at some point. I would stay here again.
We had a great stay 7/24 thru 7/29/15. Our experience was very good...we did have some issues, but the flat owner was very prompt at correcting each issue. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with a lift available. I was a bit concerned that the a/c wouldnt be able to cool the apartment in our 95 degree days, but it was adequate....not cold, but adequate...the wifi was very slow...my teen aged kids despised it....I kind of liked it not letting them disappear to electronics land :) ...Bed rooms were very large and high ceilings, comfortable beds and pull out couch in living room, Two bathrooms both with showers, 3 bathroom sinks, small washing machine was a blessing due to the high heat and daily sweating....but prepare to hang your clothes to dry...The apartment building felt very secure and residents were mostly older couples...the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but it did have a gritty feel away from the apartment with much graffiti...but we felt safe day and night when walking to/from the bus stop. Flat is two blocks from a bus stop with frequent service up towards the tourist areas....I highly recommend using google maps on your phone(if you have service) and selecting the bus icon to get very accurate bus info for getting around town. There is a grocery 2 -3 blocks away for stocking your fridge. We rode the FL1 train to and from the FCO airport to the Trastevere station, 8 Euros each, about a 10 minute walk to the flat or short cab ride. Our favorite restaurants were across the river in the "Jewish Ghetto" area Da Giggetto located at via del Portico D'Ottavia 21 was my favorite....entrees about 12-16 Euros....have fun!
We stayed here for one week -- we're a family of four including two teenage girls. It's outside the main tourist areas but that's our preference. It is quiet and has a local residential feel. There is close access to groceries, gelato and food. The #8 tram is half a block away and takes you straight into the center of the action. We bought one week passes and they were a great value (they work on the bus and subway too). The apartment was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning, washing machine and having two bathrooms and a decent kitchen made the stay easy and relaxing. The management were extremely helpful and knowledgeable (as well as friendly). Daniella met us and answered all of our questions and made sure we were well oriented. Nicola even arranged transportation for us a week after we left -- as a favor -- which was beyond the call. We'll stay here again next time we're in Rome. P.S. The Maiida restaurant a couple doors away is excellent -- reserve a table on the patio.
We stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to Rome. I was with my 4 kids (22,19,19 and 17) ending a 2 week visit to Europe. With the tram right down the block, all the sites were easily accessible. A grocery store was only a couple of blocks away. This apartment was very spacious and open. It was in a quiet part of the neighborhood, so we kept our windows open any time we were there. We felt extremely safe since there was a lock to get into the courtyard, another one to get into the building and another one to get into the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed to do the limited amount of cooking that we wanted to do. Daniella met us and showed us around. She was very kind and worked with us and our schedule. Mauro was great to work with in helping us get the right apartment for our family. He steered us away from one unit because he feared we would be too crowded. Then we made arrangements for another one that was in the historic district. When there was a problem with that apartment 3 weeks before our arrival, he gave us the option of this one. We had really wanted to be in the historical district, but we found out that is was actually nice to get away at night from all the activity. This was a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend this apartment as well as the management company. They were terrific to work with!
2 couples stayed here for a week in September 2014. It was amazing. Beautiful, impeccably clean flat in a lovely old building. The bedrooms were spacious and it was great for each couple to have our own bathrooms. It felt like we were true residents of Rome!
We took the train from the Rome Airport to Trastevere station then a 5 minute walk to the apartment--very easy.
One of the apartment helpers met us at the gate and showed us all about the apartment. Nicola came later to bring the internet box (best to reserve before arrival--I didn't). That worked fine. For some reason our credit card was not charged the balance before arrival and we had to come up with the large amount in cash--a bit of a problem but not bad.
Everything in the apartment worked beautifully and we enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen for breakfast and occasional dinner. A supermarket was a couple of blocks away and it was fun to learn to shop like locals (weigh your produce before you check out!).
The tram stop was just a 1/2 block away and took us to all the famous sights. We easily navigated the public transportation system to get where we needed to (train, tram, bus).
Check out was easy. Overall we were delighted with our stay at this flat in Rome and would definitely return.
We have stayed as a family of four for 6 days very comfortably in this flat. The flat is exactly as in photos, modern design and very clean. We were greeted by the flat manager Nicola who was prompt with communications and have also arranged for our transfer.
The rooms are really spacious however the living room is quite small so on evenings we had to sit around kitchen table which was fine.
The building and the interiors are really beautiful.
Internet is provided at an extra cost with a wifi box, €20 for 20 hours, but it kept finishing and we have to call the flat manager to add more, it would have been nice to have broadband in the flat included in the price.
The flat is easy for commuting, 3 mins walking to Traverse station which has the FR1 train to Fiumicino airport. And the tram 8 stop that takes you to the touristic area is less than a minute away. The flat is at the bottom of the Trastevere area, so for the touristic part one needs to walk 20mins through not so nice area.
Overall definitely recommend this flat.

The apartment is situated on Via di Ponziano at few meters from Viale trastevere. Rome can easily be explored from this large apartment, which is situated in an Art Deco building.
Trastevere is still a favorite place of many artists, musicians and actors.
Its magical atmosphere - which enriched by historic buildings and picturesque streets and squares in - will leave hardly anyone untouched.
Tram no. 8 stops close to the apartment and takes you directly to Largo Argentina, the heart of the historical centre between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, in only a few minutes. From this apartment you can reach the Forum Romanum, the Coliseum, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona in 5 minutes by tram followed by 5-15 minutes on foot.
