About the property

3 bedroom house sleeping max 6 in the beautiful Lot Region, near Cahors

The property is a well-equipped, attractive and good value holiday house, built in 2010 and set in a large plot (3.5 acres) in a beautiful rural location. There is plenty of space to relax and the large 10.5 x 5 m pool with terrace provides fun for all the family. Inside the house has a large lounge / diner with distinctive fitted kitchen, seating for up to 8, and all the appliances you need during your stay. There is free, fast wifi, Freesat TV, a DVD player and a Google cast for streaming content to the TV from your laptop, tablet or other device.

We provide washing liquid, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets and the kitchen has a selection of dried herbs.

The three bedrooms are on the ground floor, including a large master with en-suite shower room, and two other good sized bedrooms. Up the stairs is a cosy and romantic tower room with a great view across the pool and garden. The tower room also has a sofa bed. There is an attractive blue tiled bathroom and separate WC.

THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF THE HOUSE IS SIX PEOPLE.

PLEASE NOTE: FOR HIGH SEASON BOOKINGS (JULY AND AUGUST) WE CAN ONLY TAKE FULL WEEK BOOKINGS (FROM SATURDAY TO SATURDAY).

For cooler times of the year there is underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove.

The house is located on the edge of Touzac, which is 1.5 hrs from Bergerac, 45 minutes from Cahors in the Lot region and 2 hours from Toulouse airport.

FREE WIRELESS INTERNET: The house has free wireless internet. Connecting your devices to the wireless network is simple.

DOGS - THE HOUSE IS WELL SUITED TO DOGS, AS THERE IS A LARGE, FENCED AREA OF THE GARDEN.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A £200 SECURITY DEPOSIT, AND AN END OF STAY 50 EURO CLEANING CHARGE.

Truly Wonderful

We travelled from Wiltshire, July 17, to Touzac via Euro Tunnel with our pets. We arrived at the house and we were completely wowed by the house, garden and the icing on the cake....the pool... We had a welcome bottle of wine along with an overview on the amenities within the property There was an abundance on kitchen equipment and crockery giving a home from home experience. There was ample outdoor furniture with strategical place tables and chairs around the garden for Sun and welcome shade on really hot days during our stay. A very clean and airy property with lots of appeal.

A bird watchers paradise...so many breeds to mention, plus kites, buzzards and sparrow hawks.

A truly wonderful holiday with full support from the house managers if needed. We would not hesitate in recommending this property for a relaxing holiday with the feel of rural France on your doorstep.

Excellent villa and location

Excellent facilities, spacious rooms and fantastic garden with swimming pool. Well-maintained with access to both general maintenence and technical support if needed. Rural location with the River Lot close by. Lots of walks, activities and towns within a short journey. Large supermarkets within a few minutes drive. The owner provides information about the area and travel directions - much appreciated. If you are looking for a large villa in a rural location but relatively close to facilities, then this is to be recommended.

A lovely time in a lovely home

We spent more than a month in your house, and we had a wonderful time.

The house was fully equipped, the beds were great, and the pool was wonderful.

The situation of the house is nice and quiet, and close enough to shops and places of interest.

We will be back!

Erholsamer Urlaub am Lot

Wir haben zu viert (2 Ehepaare) mit zwei Hunden einen wirklich schönen Urlaub in diesem gepflegten Ferienhaus verbracht. Für Hundebesitzer ist das Grundstück wärmstens zu empfehlen, da komplett eingezäunt, der Swimmingpool hat uns mit 30 Grad Wassertemperatur verwöhnt. Von Vorteil war hier auch die automatische Abdeckung. Bei Schwierigkeiten (Internet, Telefon, Fernseher funktionierten bei Anreise nicht, verstopfte Dusche) wurde uns sofort und unkompliziert durch die freundlichen Ansprechpartner vor Ort geholfen. Für Weinliebhaber sind die umliegenden Chateaus empfehlenswert, Ausflüge nach Fumel, Burganlage Bonaguil, Limeuil, Cahors, Markt in Prayssac und Le Bugue (sehr groß) haben uns gut gefallen. Zum Einkaufen sollte man unbedingt den großen Leclerc in Fumel aufsuchen, das Sortiment ist einfach super. In Vire sur Lot (Nachbardorf von Touzac) gibt es eine kleine Chocolaterie mit belgischer Schokolade - himmlisch. Gute Bäcker sind in Puy L'eveque und Duravel.

Einziger Nachteil für uns (deshalb 1 Stern Abzug): Es gab zwei Badezimmer, eins davon Ensuite mit Dusche und Toilette, jedoch ohne Waschbecken, was die Morgentoilette deutlich erschwerte. Badezimmer 2 hatte Waschbecken und Badewanne, die Toilette und ein weiteres Waschbecken befanden sich separat im Nebenraum. Da die zweite Toilette von den Mitreisenden benutzt wurde, fanden wir die Anordnung etwas unglücklich.

Trotzdem würden wir das Haus weiterempfehlen und waren sicher nicht zum letzten Mal in dieser schönen Gegend.

Touzac is is a small village inside a bend of the river Lot. There is a restored XVII century neo-Romanaque church and a range of local wine producers nearby. There are many good value restaurants within a thirty minute drive. The area is excellent for outdoor activities including rambling and cycling, and the chateaux of the Dordogne are only about an hour's drive away. The river Lot itself glides past the bottom of the land below Les Crouzets. Well known tourist sites in the area include the spectacular castle of Bonaguil, the famous cliff side location of Rocamadour and the regional city of Cahors with a good range of shops. Nearby Fumel has large supermarkets and small shops where you can get all your supplies, and several restaurants and cafes for eating out. Puy l Eveque is a really attractive large village near to Touzac, built on a hill next to the Lot river, and there are good leisure facilities.
