Beautiful Two Bedroom, 2 Shower-Rooms. Central London apartment

This beautiful white stucco fronted property is situated in the centre of London in the popular Pimlico Grid, 'St George,s Square'. The Apartment has been elegantly renovated. It has its own private Entrance Door, leading into a beautiful tiled hallway. The Sitting room has a large Bay Window. There are 2 Double Bedrooms, one with a King Size Bed and a newly fitted en suite shower room and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds. The Bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with built in Television. The 2nd Bedroom leads out to a private paved patio area. There is also an independant Shower Room with W.C. The Apartment is conveniently serviced by a small shopping mall located in Dolphin Square where you can buy your emergency supplies, or take advantage of a quick meal out. It is also only a stones throw away from the amazing shopping experiences you can have in Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, Oxford Street among others, London's Theatre District.

Kitchen Facilities / Living Room: There is a fully fitted kitchen, which is well stocked with utensils, everything you could need for your stay. There is an Oven, Hob, Dishwasher, Fridge/freezer. The Kitchen also looks out over the patio terrace , so if you're inside, you need not be on your own and can participate in what's going on out in the garden. Barbeques are not allowed. There is a Washing Machine and Tumble dryer in the utility area for your use. The Living room is bright and airy. There are two deep and comfortable sofas with seating for 6 people. There is television and DVD facilities, with freeview television. There is also broadband internet access. We have a printer which you can connect your computer to, should you need too.

Places of Interest: The Apartment is situated in one of London's beautiful Garden Squares and is in a perfect location for seeing the whole of London. It has easy access to Public Transport, via Pimlico tube station, (5 mins walk), Victoria Station,(10 mins walk) which is serviced by Gatwick Airport (Gatwick Express) Stansted Airport has easy access via Tottenham Hale (Stansted Express train) and Tube to Pimlico Station. most places are only a taxi ride away. There are a number of Restaurants locally serving a wide variety of international cuisines. Within walking distance, most tastes are catered for. The 'Tate Britain' Musuem is a 10 minute walk from the Apartment. The 'Tate Modern' Museum and the ' London Eye', one of London's major tourist attractions is a boat ride away. The River Taxi, which you can pick up on the Embankment, can take you East to Canary Wharf, or West, towards Putney, Kew Gardens. Oyster Cards are the simplest way to get around London and are availabile at Pimlico tube station.

St Georges Square: St George's Square was originally laid out in 1839 as two parallel streets running north-south but by 1843 had been developed into a formal square, It is currently London's only residential square open to the River Thames. The Gardens are available for you to use, if you want to. They are well kept and is it is lovely, to buy your newspaper on a Sunday and find a quiet spot in the sunshine.

Exactly what you need!

This apartment is in a great location. Super close to everything you need to get you everywhere. Perfect place to come home to (it does feel like home) after exploring the city. Best of all is UNA. She is so helpful and accommodating. From begining to end she is always there to help you. I would recommend her and her apartment to anyone.

An exceptional experience in central London

My wife and I have just returned from 10 days in the UK, six of which were spent in this delightful flat on St. George's Square, Pimlico. There were three of us as my adult son was traveling with us on his way to enter Oxford. The apartment is a true 2 BR 2 bath unit with a spacious LR and small but very well fitted kitchen, with full size refrigerator, dish washer, expected small appliances (toaster, coffer maker, crockery, etc etc) oven, burners etc. Bathrooms are lovely and modern and recently refitted. As a whole, the apartment is beautifully decorated, with great natural light and a comforting sense of security.

We used the washer and dryer: functioned exactly as it should and was extremely helpful.

The location was what first attracted us to this flat: we know Pimlico and have stayed many times in a ginormous block of flats around the corner known as Dolphin Square. Half a block from the Thames, with a 15 minute walk along the bank to Westminster Abbey, this is right in the heart of central London, but is very green and leafy; and with a tube stop a block and half away, the entire metropolitan area is at your fingertips. This is a VERY good location from which to tour London.

Una, the landlady, is absolutely tops in communication: everything is well planned and executed, and she is very engaged in making sure everything works as agreed. My damage deposit was returned within 36 hours of departing the flat.

The only quibble, and it is slight, is that there is not very much bandwidth capacity. It comes in on copper, and then into wifi, and equates the speed of the old AOL dial ups. Now, this is perfectly adequate for one person at a time to check their email, and do a limited amount of (patient) surfing. If you have anyone else in your party online at the same time, be prepared to wait. But very much on the cyber plus side, the apartment has a wireless printer! This is becoming critical as booking museums, plays, concerts, whatever, online requires that you be able to print the tickets you just booked and paid for. The printer works through bluetooth and does not require you download any drivers. Worked great! and was an unexpected pleasant surprise.

We would certainly book this flat again, and do not hesitate to recommend it to all seeking a very comfortable apartment from which to experience London.

Perfect for a family of four

This was our first visit to London. I was looking for something other than a one bedroom one bathroom hotel room. This place was perfect. From my first interaction with Una my experience was just like the other reviews you will read about this property. Una was great to work with from the first inquiry to our last days in London. She recommended a car service for our airport transportation and called them to confirm our pick up and departure. All the financial issue went as advertised. Una refunded our damage deposit before we landed back in the U.S. The apartment itself was very nice and in a safe London neighborhood. To have a comfortable living area and kitchen to fix breakfast and dinner when we wanted to eat in was perfect. There are numerous small grocery stores very close by and then a full size grocery store about a half mile away. The Oyster Cards for the Underground/subway made travel easy. The Pimlico station was about a five minute walk and got us everywhere we wanted to go. While in London Una was in contact and helpful in every way. I would definitely recommend working with Una and recommend this property. It made our trip extremely enjoyable. I can't imagine having stayed 8 nights in a one bedroom one bathroom hotel room. If we go back to London we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful apartment in London

We just got back from a week in Europe and spent four days at this wonderful apartment in London, Saturday-Wednesday, and the rest of the time in Paris. It is always an extremely pleasant and satisfying experience when things work out exactly as planned. My wife and I flew to London to meet my adult son, who had just completed his study abroad semester in London. We had our adult daughter join us from New York. My son and daughter shared the room with the two twin beds. We decided to use this apartment as our home base as we moved him out school and sightsee in London. The apartment was accurately described, clean, comfortable and everything worked. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, washer and dryer worked well. The apartment is located 2 blocks from the Pimlico underground station and from there all of London was at our doorstep. We even took the tube from Heathrow to Pimlico when we arrived. Una, the apartment owner, provided detailed instructions on home operation, all transactions were completed with PayPal, and our security deposit was returned in full (while we were in Paris, even before we even got home). It was a very pleasant experience. A few notes. The apartment is a ground floor apartment and was light and airy, but some steps down to the apartment are required. Not an issue for us. Also, PayPal fees do add up if you are converting from a foreign currency (for me US dollars to pounds). There is no way around this, and in the end I preferred the safety of PayPal to other methods. Una provided four Oyster cards (used for all public transportation) which were left with varying amounts of value from the last visitors (anywhere between 3 and 12 pounds). My son had his own unlimited ride card from school, but we used three of the cards, topping them off as needed and leaving them with approximately the same amounts as we found them. We only used a taxi once, and that was at the end of our stay to take all our luggage to the train station (my son was moving home). I would highly recommend this apartment, and you will find the owner, Una, to be honest, attentive and engaged in the success of your vacation.

Great headquarters for a week of theatre in London

Four of us met in London for a week. We loved Una's apartment. Very modern and efficient with comfortable bedrooms and a nice living room to gather in. The bathrooms are quite small but, very top of the line with excellent hot water. The owner was super helpful and always available to answer questions. We will return!

Beautiful apartment, Gracious Owner, Perfect Stay

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teen boys) spent 13 nights in this lovely, we'll-appointed apartment. The apartment was sparkling clean, private and quiet. Bedrooms and sitting areas were nicely furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The full sized washing machine and dryer were a tremendous convenience. This property is easy walking distance to the Pimlico tube station so it was easy to get to local London attractions. The owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. She consistently offered her assistance and followed-up with every request we made. She provided insight and information prior to our trip and during our stay. In addition, she provides a variety of helpful extras including Oyster cards for use during your stay and free WiFi. We would reserve this property again without hesitation and recommend it highly.

The Apartment is situated in beautiful St. Georges Square in Central London, in the heart of the Pimlico Grid. You are 150 metres from the river Thames, and 5 mins to Pimlico Tube Station, (Victoria Line) 1 stop to Victoria Station and the Gatwick Express.There are lots of good Restaurants nearby,a comprehensive file of Restaurants and places to visit will be left for you in the Apartment. A car is not necessary. London's West End Shopping, Theatre Land, are all close by. The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Canary Wharf, Westminster Abbey, Kew Gardens. You can use the Thames River Boat service to take you to any of these places or alternatively use the London Underground or Buses. London Black Cabs pass frequently, and Private Cabs are available to hire.
