Located near Lambeth Palace, this comfortable and elegant, fully equipped apartment is ideally situated for anyone wanting to experience central London and the West End. All the excitement of Piccadilly Circus, Soho and Leicester Square, shopping on Oxford St... all only a short 15 minutes bus trip away, with bus stops at your door step. 10 minutes walk along the Thames or 5 minutes in a taxi, and you are at the London Eye, a bit further and you have a choice of many restaurants, the National Theatre or the British Film Institute, another 10 minutes and you are at Borough Market, London Bridge, and Shakespeare's Globe. In the other direction it is 10 minutes to the Elephant and Castle, where shopping, restaurants and entertainment is available.

I inherited the property from my mother, bless her....and I love it because she lived here 28 years...it is south facing and sunny...you can lie in bed and not see a building when you look out the window

Another Wonderful Stay!

Wonderful Chez Guinevere! This was our second visit...and definitely not our last...in this most perfect flat. The location is ideal and it has everything anyone would need for a comfortable stay in this amazing city. Jennifer is a most informative and gracious host and has recommended excellent places that most of us would miss. We will return and would absolutely recommend it!

Excellent choice

We loved this two bedroomed flat and have already booked it for our week's holiday in London next year.

The location is marvellously central - a very short walk brings you to the Albert embankment and its great views across the Thames, of Big Ben and the houses of Parliament. Every morning we walked across Westminster Bridge to begin our day. So lovely not to have to spend time travelling into central London.

The flat itself is lovely, with a much-loved and very comfortable and cosy feel. It is spacious and welcoming , well equipped and charmingly decorated with a mix of modern and traditional furniture.

We appreciated the warmth ( November visit), Jennifer's excellent communication before our stay and the very helpful travel information and suggestions for places to visit, the pretty balcony with views over the park and the ability to park on-site. The nearby convenience stores and pubs and restaurants were a bonus.

The cost is very reasonable and the booking and arrival process very easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Good Functional Flat in great location

This was a great apartment for us. Easy to get to and from by bus or underground. We had 5 people and we fitted in nicely as the couch could be converted to a bed. The apartment had all the facilities we needed for cooking and washing. There was some noise at times due to multi-apartment building but this did not worry us. I would fully recommend this to others who want a comfortable apartment. Jennifer provided lots of information on where to go, what we see and general details of the area.

Great location. Had a lovely family break with 2 young children.

The flat is easy to find and very close to great bus routes. Also an easy walk to many attractions including London Eye and Houses of Parliament. The flat is very comfy and is just as the photos show (apart from a different sofa which is a bit uncomfortable). We were there with 2 young children and it suited us really well.

Great location & buses. Tired furnishing, smaller than it looks, noisy ceiling. Appropriate price.

We spent 2 1/2 weeks in this flat in July 2016, and enjoyed our time. The location is great...a short-ish walk from Houses of Parliament, Imperial War Museum, Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Within 30 minutes' walk is much more, including Leicester Square. There are four key bus routes that come within 3 blocks of the flat that take you many key places. With a 15 minute walk, you can get to a couple tube stops and at least one train station.

The flat itself is smaller than the pictures make it look; the furnishings are a bit "tired" and the area rugs could use a cleaning. The kitchen is quite functional, but small (one cook at a time, please!). The washing machine works great, but is small enough that you'll be doing a load of clothes every 2-3 days. Clothes hang dry. The bigger bed is only the size of a "double" (as we would call it in the USA). It is not a queen or king. As we had only one kid with us, we gave her the double bed and we pushed the two single beds together for ourselves - this gave us more room to sleep than the "double" and in a bigger room. While those beds are comfortable, their frames move and creak a fair amount.

We also heard a lot of sounds from the flat upstairs - shuffling along the floor, doors opening, marbles being dropped, etc.

There is one bathroom, but it is helpfully split into two pieces - Toilet vs. Shower/Sink. This allowed one person to shower while another used the toilet (and washed up in the kitchen sink).

The one key piece of advice I'd provide the Jennifer (owner): Install a "grab bar" in the tub, as it can be quite perilous to step in and out of the tub when taking a shower (the tub is narrow and, like many in Europe, raised up above the floor). I nearly slipped and fell several times. That said, once in the shower, it was nice pressure and nice temperature.

Jennifer was quite helpful before our arrival, with good information on the neighborhood, buses, grocery stores, etc. The one time we had a question for her during the visit, she was quite responsive.

Overall, we'd stay here again...knowing that we are paying less than other spots w/in the same general distance to stuff. It is important, though, to moderate your expectations about the size and quality of the unit.

Would recommend to anyone!

Just left London the other day. Our family of four had a great time. The flat is perfectly located and easy to find. Great busing is right outside the door. The flat is well equipped and perfect for a family stay. The place is full of old English charm! When we booked the flat the owner sent us a large email with sights, tips, stores, bus routes, and much more. This is something most vacation rentals don't do so it is fantastic to see someone put the effort in. We would definitely book here again and not even bother pricing out other lodging.

It's possible to book shorter stays if there is a vacant period that suits you, between other bookings.The apartment is close to the tourist centre of London. A 10 min. walk to Tate Britain. The # 3 bus from the corner is 5 minutes to the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and White Hall, (stroll from here through St James' Park to Buckingham Palace); 5 -10 minutes on to Trafalgar Square, the Strand, China town, Covent Garden Market, the West End, and the Haymarket; Shaftesbury Avenue's theatres, the cinemas of Leicester Square, Soho's night life, Picadilly, Regent St, and the miles of Oxford St shops.

In another direction take the 360 bus to the King's Road Chelsea, Sloane Square and the High Fashion of Sloane St; the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, Harrods, Royal Albert Hall, Lady Diana's Kensington Palace and within walking distance to South Kensington High St and Notting Hill, where Charity shops are a treasure trove of designer labels.

Bus 507 + C10 on the embankment take 10 minutes to Victoria Station, (the Gatwick Express) more theatres + shops.

There is a lift to the 2nd floor where the apartment is located. We ask smokers to respect the fact that they are welcome to smoke on the balcony, but please not in the apartment as the smell of nicotine is not pleasant for non-smoking clients who may come after you. There is no wheelchair access into the shower as the shower is over the bath. We love animals but there is no garden and the apartment is on the second floor. please note that there is a £20 administration fee to alter a booking that reduces the length of stay. If you increase the length of stay there is no administration fee. If the length of stay is reduced up to 3 months or more in advance of arrival, and a vacancy results that is less than 5 days, 50% of the cancelled dates is refundable. If the cancellation of part of the booking occurs within 3 months of arrival date which creates a vacancy of less than 5 days, the caneclled dates are non-refundable, because most bookings are made 6 months in advance
