Vina Cristina is a typical country finca of this region of White Villages. Set in its own garden backed by mountains and fields with sheep grazing and beautiful views towards Ronda. It has its own built in barbecue under the olive trees. You can dine on the patio under the vine looking out over the countryside. There is an orchard, stream and garden with the mountains behind. In the main room is a large open fireplace, CD player/ books and local maps. The dining area can seat 8. The bedrooms are comfortable; one double and one twin each with a wood burning stove and decorated with simplicity to suit the style of this lovely place. Bedlinen and towels are supplied. The kitchen is tiled with Spanish tiles and a granite worktop there is a gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer and all kitchen equipment. We leave basic dry goods for your use. The blue and white bathroom has a bath, shower, loo, handbasin and heated towel rail. There is also a hair dryer and hot water bottles for cooler weather. We supply one sack of logs for the cooler weather.
There is good mobile reception.

The finca is in a beautiful part of Andalucía. So much to enjoy yet very unspoilt.
The amazing view and the mountain scenery.
We did return to Vina Cristina after last year's highly enjoyable visit and it was just as good again. Coming in June this time, rather than July, meant that it was not too hot for us to walk more extensively in the area each morning, but it was still a delight to rest in the peaceful surroundings of the cottage each afternoon. We never tired of the views around and devoted considerable time to just watching the vultures gliding overhead. We also spent more time in Grazalema itself on this visit and were happy to do our day-to-day shopping there without having to find somewhere bigger. Thanks again to Judith for the use of her home from home.
I found Vina Cristina online last year and thought it looked our kind of place: peaceful and off the beaten track without being too far from civilisation. Judith, the owner, was both helpful and informative and the booking process was simple and straightforward. Arriving at the house, we found it was all that we expected and more: bigger than we realised, well equipped, with a wonderful garden and spectacular views all around. If we went out in the morning, we were content to linger in one or other of the shady spots of the garden for the rest of the day (it was very hot while we were there). Vina Cristina makes an excellent base for exploring this less touristy part of Spain but is also a home from home when exploration begins to pall. The highest compliment I can pay is to say that even while we were there we began to discuss the likelihood of a second visit and there aren't many places to which we choose to return because we like finding new venues. Over the years we've had the fortune to stay in plenty of good accommodation in attractive locations but Vina Cristina and its surroundings have immediately shot to near the top of our "best" list.
I am a little concerned about writing this review as I don't want this place to become so popular that I'm unable to book it again in the future. Well, simply put, this little cottage is paradise. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Inside: clean, orderly, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. The photos don't touch how beautiful this little place is. Outside: A gorgeous garden complete with an array of gorgeous flowers, a hearty palm that gives shade all day no matter the temperature, a lovely table area for meals and views to die for. Every morning we woke up to a symphony of roosters, birds, sheep, goats and a lone donkey that we met on one of our walks through the stunning countryside. To top it off, you pick up your groceries from the closest town, which happens to be beautiful Grazalema. There are great butchers there, plenty of food markets and pretty much anything you need. In short, my wife and I had an incredible stay at Vina Cristina. We very much hope to return and would recommend it to anyone. You really should stay here!
A lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful, with a sense of isolation, yet only a few minutes' drive to Grazalema with its shops and cafes. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and only wish it could have been for longer.
Waking up (early) in the morning and have your coffee under the Palmtree, with the sound of the birds and the music from sheep bells, that's
"PARADISE". Excellent holidayhouse, the weather was perfect and we discovered the whole area. Thanks to Esteban & Elena for the Welcome Pack. We had a Great
holiday stay. Judith, many thanks and maybe until later. Jacques & Simonne, Wingene

Vina Cristina is set high in Grazalema National Park with its mountains, cork forests, pine trees and birds. Wonderful walking country, Garganta Verde with its Griffon Vultures is highly recommended. Grazalema, 3 kilometres away is the perfect White Village with two lovely churches, a museum, wool workshop, many bars, good restaurants, a bank, post office and two supermarkets. There is a large swimming pool open July/Aug. July is the Fiesta del Carmen with music & bull running. Horse riding, paragliding and adventure activities are easily organised in the area.. Seville, Jerez and Granada are near for a sightseeing day trip. Ronda 35 Min drive away with the El Tajo gorge, old Muslim town and the bullring - one of the oldest and largest in Spain with an excellent museum. Vibrant night life, and good shops make it a lovely place to visit. For swimming Lake Zahara is 15 min drive and you can swim, sunbathe and canoe from the beaches. There is also a pretty spring fed lido. Guests have also Whale Watched in Tarifa and visited Morocco. The short ferry trip leaves from Algeciras.
