|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
We love our recently purchased home that's been remodeled with you in mind. As you enter you'll see the large, heated pool and separate hot tub through one of three sets of French doors leading to the huge (37' X 50') lanai. The spacious comfortable living room has enlarged photos of birds you may see in the area. Included are free cable (3 TVs) and wireless Internet.
The kitchen with new granite counters features an under-mounted deep double sink, There are under-counter lights too, with a generous island and stools for watching the chef. We're equipped with everything to cook a gourmet meal or prepare easy snacks, including a 2nd full-size refrigerator in the garage. A full set of dishes, cook and bake ware are all ready for you.
The separate dining room seats eight. We have china service for 16 in the hutch. The 7.5 foot table can also be used for cards, puzzles, games or just visiting while you watch through the big front window for sand cranes or an ibis walking through the yard. You'll see why we call the home 'Seaglass Sojourn' because there is gorgeous painted furniture in soft seaglass colors in each room.
The split bedroom floor plan allows for maximum privacy. The master bedroom, with a large bathroom that has a comfort-level commode, two sinks, sunken tub and tiled shower, opens to the lanai. The queen and twin bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house, with roomy closets and lots of drawer space. The smaller 2nd bathroom has much of the same comfort as the master bath. There is a pull-out queen sized mattress in the living room couch or twin air mattresses if you prefer.
Seven overhead fans complement air conditioning for summer and we also have a real wood burning fireplace for the cozy winter evenings when you want to curl up to read a good book or watch TV. We believe every seat should have a place for a drink and a lamp. We have puzzles, games, books for children and adults too. We can sleep 8 in our 1918 sq.ft. home, so it's OK to invite your best friends along, but just two works beautifully also. In the attached garage you'll find beach equipment such as sand toys, beach chairs, coolers, and 3 adult plus 2 youth bikes with helmets. Entrance from the garage is ramped, as are all three French doors to the lanai. All doors are extra wide. An over-sized front load washer and dryer in the laundry, along with a tiled folding table, iron and ironing board make even laundry easy.
We're located on a canal, so you may see an anhinga drying its wings on our private fishing dock while you breakfast on the screened-in lanai. Hear the fish splash in the canal. Catch-and-release bass or bluegill off our private dock (No license required). Notice the palms swishing in the ever-present breeze, thanks to the nearness to the ocean, which makes both summer and winter enjoyable. Besides the heated pool (85 degrees) and hot tub (103 degrees), the lanai has three tables for dining, plus a double swing, lounge chairs for sunning, and a 4 burner gas grill. It's hard to leave the spacious lanai and our quiet neighborhood, but there's much to do in Sebastian or nearby Vero Beach or Melbourne. Uncrowded sandy beaches are just a few miles away.
The history of Sebastian with sunken Spanish treasure, though little known, is fascinating. Environmental centers up and down the coast tell you the stories of loggerhead turtles, manatees, dolphin, alligators, birds and feature hiking trails. Orlando attractions are only 90 miles away and an easy day trip. Bring your swim suits and we'll supply beach towels and all linens and bedding.
NO pets or indoor smoking allowed.

We were attracted to Indian River County due to the centralized location on Florida's east coast. The constant ocean breeze refreshes us. Sebastian in particular has an interesting history dating back to 1715. The locally owned, not national chain, restaurants provide excellent dining opportunities. We are close enough (12 miles to Vero Beach and less than 30 to Melbourne) to larger metropolitan areas to partake of all they have to offer without having to live in congestion. You may even see the plumes of rockets when they launch from the Kennedy Space Center.
We love that the house has cathedral ceilings, elevated niches, all tile or laminate floors, and the largest lanai we've seen. The rooms all are light and airy allowing plenty of sunlight. We were impressed with the canal location and the many birds visible throughout each day.
To any body thinking of renting this house you must do it .me and my family just stayed there. It had every thing you could ask for. And the owners were very helpful and nice beautiful place will be returning very comfortable thanks again Bob and Marilyn
We would definitely stay here again!!! The owners were super nice, and responded quickly to any and all questions we had about the property. We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful home.....
We loved our stay. Pictures could not begin to say how beautiful this house is. Extremely clean, beds were so comfortable, amazing kitchen. Very well maintained and such an awesome price! We have saved it as a favorite - they also have another home very close that was just as wonderful.
We had a wonderful time! Home was very clean and any issues that came up were addressed quickly.
We loved our stay! Pictures reflect exactly what you are getting; very clean. We were very comfortable with our stay. We had 4 of us and it gave us plenty of room inside and the huge pool area was a plus for extended family who stopped by to help entertain them.
This home made our vacation very memorable. It had everything we needed for our family. Our grandchildren loved the pool! I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to stay again!
Whether you prefer sky-diving, deep-sea fishing, shopping or antiquing, water-side restaurants,or the ocean, you'll find plenty to do in this best kept secret in Florida. Pelican Island in Sebastian was our first National Wildlife Refuge. Stop in at Sebastian Inlet State Park to kayak or picnic while you watch the dolphins frolic. Explore the Indian River Lagoon and the St. Sebastian River. Just don't tell everyone or it may become overcrowded. Did we mention we're in the USA's top five areas for clean air according to the May 3, 2012 issue of the Indian River Press Journal? If you're retired, vacationing, have relatives in the area, or just want to get away from it all, Seaglass Sojourn is the place for you.
