The cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed for two night, but wished we had more time. The house had more amenities then I anticipated. We wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the house more. The house made our family feel like we were at home. We would definitely rent this house again. The house was clean and comfortable.

Comfortable stay in OR for a small family

  • 5 of 5

Our trip went smoothly, and we were very comfortable in the cabin. "Cozy" is usually a euphemism for "small" but it was pretty spacious for our taste, with plenty of space inside and out for the kids to play. They were thrilled to see a few rabbits living in and around the property. Clean, and stocked with plenty of little incidentals - towels, dish soap, salt and pepper, etc. Would have been nice to have propane for the grill but we weren't going to bring a cylinder just for a few nights.

Mostly good, nice quiet area.

  • 3 of 5

Overall pretty good, and in a nice location.

Couple items that need attention. There are still no screens on the 2 largest openings into the house, the rear patio door, and the rear master bedroom window, despite what the website said. A response to a review last year said this was fixed. It's clear from looking at the window frame, and door frame, that there have not been any screens there for a very long time, if ever. Makes it hard to air out a hot house, after returning from a day out sightseeing. Lots of bugs in the area.

When I spoke to Steve, the owner about the lack of screens, as soon as we arrived, he did not respond very well, in my opinion. He said "there was a screen on the MBR before", but photos of the window frame there show that it wasn't anytime in many months, or years. He didn't address the lack of screen door to the patio at all. He was pretty curt, and said if we didn't want to stay there, he would refund our payment. Not very user friendly. This is at about 7pm at night, with what options, to go where?

The grass in front of the house was about a foot tall. Not a huge deal, but still. My son decided to mow it, and got most of it done, before the mower ran out of gas. He had to empty the catch bag about every 6-8 feet of mowing, given the height of the grass, and the volume it created.

Overall we enjoyed out visit, but making this VRBO option more concerned about the renters, who are paying a premium price, is something that should be addressed, including having accurate information on the website.
