2 double bedrooms with king-size beds, open plan living/ dining room, kitchen and downstairs bathroom providing lovely cosy accommodation for 4-5 featuring a log burner, stripped floorboards and latched doors. There is a private courtyard garden and large grassed area to the front.
The cottage is furnished in a shabby chic style but has the conveniences of a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and washing machine and central heating for winter breaks.
Adrian was bought up in Suffolk and we both have great memories of holidays in the area and along the Suffolk coast. We love the proximity to the Broads marina and park and the lovely walks along the wetlands.
When we bought the cottage it was in a fairly sad state and we spent several months uncovering its lovely features. We love the cosy living room and pretty bedrooms. We chose to furnish it mostly with up cycled older furniture to match the character of the cottage and so that visitors would feel comfortable in their surroundings. The beds are new but otherwise everything has been chosen for its history. We've enjoyed finding pieces to put into the rooms and hope that the affect offers homely country living with the added benefit of good plumbing, heating, kitchen conveniences and wifi.
What a great find this cottage accommodation was for our trip! ... Situated near most of the main roads to travel north, south and west in Suffolk and into Norfolk along with a homely feel, it was perfect for us. The living area down stairs is decorated with style and care and was very comfortable. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfortable to recharge the batteries to get on the go the next morning. A very well equipped kitchen along with modern appliances allowed us to enjoy home cooking with ease. The cottage was immaculate.
I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting a relaxing time with the ability to tour about the local area.
The cottage was exactly as described, clean and well maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this property. The interior was sympathetically restored and beautifully decorated throughout. My only comment regarding improvement would be that if this were my cottage, I would enhance the courtyard area to the rear to make it more welcoming. I also think it would be a good investment to make good the concrete approach to the front of the property which may be shared with the neighbour at number 4. My father, who lives in Lowestoft, is very unsteady on his feet and the uneven surface was a concern when he visited us.
Stayed here for a week and cottage was lovely with all essentials provided . The property was very clean on arrival . The location of the cottage is ideal for families and dogs as it is extremely close to Nicholas Everitt Park .Would definitely recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return .
The cottage is close to Nicholas Everitt park with the marinas and water sports centres on Oulton Broads. We are also close to the coastal resort at lowestoft with easy car and rail access to the suffolk coast and nearby market towns and larger centres of Norwich and Ipswich

The cottage is old and the furnishing haven been chosen in a sympathetic style. Your cottage will be clean and comfortable and stylishly decorated but please don't expect deluxe and perfect furnishings- this is shabby chic country charm
