Commune with nature and feast your eyes . This is a renovated farmhouse in a tiny hamlet on top of a hill, with stunning panoramic views.
Set on a 3 hectare property next door to the owner's house , it has its own huge South facing terrace, large table and chairs , sun umbrellas and BBQ facilities. Your views look down to a large water feature , forests and far distant mountains . Note: Because of the depth of the water feature, the cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 10.

Equidistant between Charolles and Cluny , and 30 kilometers from the wine regions of Vire Clesse , Pouilly Fuise and the Beaujolais hills . There are prehistoric caves at Aze , and at Bergeserin (10 ks) an adventure park for the brave at heart. Walking is the most popular passtime in the area with hundreds of kilometers of tracks in forests and tiny country lanes.
Fishing is another activity keenly supported by the local community. Maps and permits are easy to obtain at the local mairie. If you want history , the Chateau of Cormatin is only 20 minutes drive away with it's medieval kitchen gardens and 16th century interiors it is a 'must see' in the area. The tourist office at Cluny has a list of Chateaux to visit in the area. Cluny itself is a lively town with the remains of the largest church in Christendom still very evident in the main square.
I fell in love with this property for three reasons , the views , the quiet and the large garden .
The views are truly gorgeous . The hamlet is small and the road very quiet. This a place to enjoy natural beauty and commune with nature. There are extensive walks to be made in all directions through forests and fields. The paths are well defined. Despite the feeling that you are a hundred miles from civilization , there is a small town nearby (6 kilometers) that has all amenities including a large supermarket that also sells petrol.
The cottage is in reality as nice as it is shown on the many pictures, caringly renovated. It is excellently equipped - we have many experience with holidays flats: this was the best equipped house we ever had. It's proper, well-maintained and cared with love. You feel very welcomed - this home is made for you as a guest.
There is a lot of space for two persons. If the weather is good you enjoy the terrace with a gigantic view over hills and valleys. The pond is great to go swimming at every hour of the day. If the weather might be not good, it's no problem to stay inside.
Victoria lives on the same estate, she would be there is there is any need, otherwise she is very discreet.
You can see and visit so many things in this area: Cluny, Paray-le-Monial, the wine area with Chalon, Macon and Beaune is close and we even took the train to Lyon, which is 45 minutes away from Macon. Apart from this you have got nature and the nice landscape just everywhere around you!
We were very, very satisfied and happy and enjoyed our holidays in the cottage - and we will be back!
When we booked Les Marions we were looking for a quiet holiday in the countryside but we found so much more … a spacious house with all the luxuries such as a well equipped kitchen, cable TV, indoor-outdoor living areas and best of all, a pool for the hot summer days. On top of all this, we enjoyed beautiful scenery from our windows, plenty of cute local historic villages a short drive away and the best of Burgundy’s wine and local produce.

In diesem gemütlichen Haus, inmitten der herrlichen Hügellandschaft des südlichen Burgund, kann man sich wunderbar erholen. Nach schönen Ausflügen in die Umgebung (Cluny, Charolles, Taizé, Paray le Monial, Tournus etc) haben wir uns immer wieder auf das " Heimkommen" gefreut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wunderbar geschlafen; auch das Kochen in der schönen Küche, mit Blick in's Grüne, hat zur guten Urlaubsstimmung beigetragen. Sehr empfehlenswert!
Set in the hills of the Charolais, close to historic Cluny . The house is set on 7 undulating acres with a beautiful water feature. It is surounded by green fields and forests . Enjoy walking, biking, golfing, tennis, horse riding or just lazing around by the pond. Tranquillity, comfort and natural beauty are the key words to describe this property. 5 minutes from St Bonnet de Joux , a village that has a large supermarket and gas station , a bank, a chemist a bakery, a butcher , a tabac and a medical centre. 17 minutes to Cluny, 35 minutes to the Macon TGV train station, 1 hour to Lyon airport and 2 hours to Geneva. For wine buffs the fabulous wines of the Maconais , Beaujolais and Cote D'Ore are all within easy reach . Visit the prehistoric site at Solutre , climb the mountain or sit at a delightful restaurant under it's imposing cliff face and taste the stunning wines of the region.
Come here to get away from it all. You'll never want to leave.

A fifty percent non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance to be payed 4 weeks before your visit. We recomend that you take out travel insurance in case of unforseen events that would force you to cancel .
There is a 250 euro bond to be held by the owner in case of damage to the property . This will be returned to you at the end of your stay.
