I am Japanese, from Tokyo.
I have decided to live in Rome because I truly love the Eternal city, its beauty and its charm. I couldn't live anywhere else. I always hope that my guests will share this feeling about this amazing city.
My husband is Italian and we have 2 children.
My house is held with love and Japanese precision and attention decorated with Italian/Roman style.
I love arts and photography, traveling and meeting new people.
The apartment is extremely nice: smart, clean, very well appointed and has double-doors from the lounge and both bedrooms which open onto a huge, private, sunny terrace which is much larger than it looks in the photographs.
We were greeted by Adriano and his mother (a delightful lady) and, once we had been shown around, found a lovely selection of fresh fruit in the kitchen. There is an indoor market just yards away (open Monday to Friday) where you can buy pretty much any foodstuffs, a supermarket (about 5 minutes walk) as well as a selection of smaller shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach. We strongly recommend a local restaurant 'Le Caveau' in Via Conte Verde (despite its French-sounding name, it serves Italian food) - by far the best food, service and atmosphere we found in Rome.
One of the apartment's main advantages, from our point of view, is its proximity to Vittorio Emanuele station - once you fathom out how the Metro works, it can get you virtually anywhere in Rome.
We had a wonderful 10 days, due in no small part to the quality and location of Yumi & Adriano's lovely apartment... we would highly recommend it. Chris, Anne & Katie - Cheltenham, England.
We stayed in this beautiful sunny apartment for 3 weeks.
We emailed and talked to Yumi a few times before reserving our visit because we have heard some stories about fraudulence in these websites but she made us very comortable about booking a trip in their apartment.
Yum and Edoardo arranged our transportation to and from the airport where Alberto held up our name signed as we came out of baggage claim and took us to apartment in his van.
Place is just like the photos and very spacious and comfortable in the middle of city of Rome.
Very close to Vittorio Emanuele Metro A stop and Termini the major train and metro stop.
Apartment building is surrounded by several small grocery stores and one large farmer's market is less then a block away offer fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and bakery goods that made our stay very comfortable and fun.
We were little nervous about going this far for 3 weeks but Yumi made our trip very easy and enjoyable.
We requested a BBQ grill and next day we had a grill at our door step, special thanks to Edoardo for taking time from his busy schedule.
We would definitely stay in same apartment if we visit Rome again.
We were so happy with our stay in Yumi's apartment. Walking distance to all the sites. Communication with Yumi was easy. Edoardo was waiting for us at the appartment. The appartment was very nice with everything we needed (including a functional kitchen), there is a big local market almost next door. They had very nice welcome "package" and a lot of nice attentions. They gave us good pointers for restaurant in the area, made arrangement to have a transport to the airport on the morning of our departure. The appartment was really comfortable and we slept very well in the bed. There is abundant hot water.
The location was perfect. When we got lost, all we had to do was find Piazza Vittorio, which is a block from the apartment. There is also a very good ice cream store a few blocks down the street!
Since it is on a not pedestrian street, there is no traffic noise and we slept very well.
Everything was so easy and so pleasant. I hope to return to Rome one day, and I will definitely want to stay here again.
Thank you very much Yumi, Adriano and Edoardo.
A very nice, clean, well-equipped, and fairly spacious apartment. A few blocks from Termini Central Station, which has good subway connections to anywhere else in Rome.
There's an excellent little coffee shop right around the corner and the best ice cream shop few blocks.
Apartment is quiet, with windows on the big terrace. We would absolutely stay there again! Thanks Yumi for being a great host and for always promptly responding to any questions we had.
The apartment was exactly as described in the details and photos but did not give you the sense of space and light which it offered and the terrace was fantastic and as it was not overlooked it was very quiet and ideal after walking around Rome each day.We found the location of the apartment was excellent and close to all the sites which you could reach by walking or if requred you could easliy get a metro at Emmanuel. The apartment was kept very clean but had the added attraction of high ceilings and attractive Italian style furniture and all marble floors in a very original Italian building. In addition as we stayed for 9 days we managed to find a good supermarket just a few minutes walk away in addition to the market which is just nearby and has loads of fresh produce for all tastes. There were also some good restaurants nearby and if you wanted to go to ones futher away near the sites then it was only a short jounrey on the metro.Yumis mother in law met us at the start and gave us all the information we required including the details regarding the washing machine which was easy to use and a great boon.I would recommend this apartment to anyone for a great holiday in Rome giving you a real senseof living like an Italian in a magnificent city.I will definitely be going back soon.
Thanks very much Yumi
Magdalen and Charles
Dear Yumi I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your apartment when I went there in June this year 2011. The apartemnt was exactly as described in the details but did not give you the sense of space and light which it offered and the terrace was fantastic and as it was not overlooked it was very quiet. We were close to all the sites and walked everywhere and when required took the metro which was closeby. All in all a great holiday in a superb flat and we will be back Magdalen and Charles
