Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for something that was quiet, peaceful and in a good area. This house fit that bill completely. Sitting on the deck watching the deer and hummingbirds and listening to the river just feet away was a very relaxing way to spend our evenings. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us.

Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I wanted a place that was quiet and relaxing, and this fit the bill exactly. While sitting on back deck, all we heard was the river, the hummingbirds, and the deer walking through the property. We loved the seclusion, but also enjoyed being minutes from town. The house was very clean, and comfortable, and felt very homey. We highly recommend this place for anyone needing peace and quiet. We loved being there, and our only regret was not booking for a longer time.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! Many people wish they could stay longer but we are pretty full up in the summer. You have to reserve early to get what you want. Spring and fall are also nice and not so crowded since school is in session. If you like skiing or other winter activities, that is also a good time. Come anytime!!!

Just right for us

  • 5 of 5

House was easy to find. Great location on the river. Lots of deer walking around in the yard. It is an older home with everything you need. The living room , dining room, kitchen and deck were a great size to comfortably sit around and visit. Great sisters' vacation.

Owner's Response: We have had many family groups, some quite large, who have rented nearby cabins and used ours as a headquarters. As a matter of fact, we also have an overflow cabin just upstream which is available for that purpose. Hope you and both your sisters will soon return.

Picture Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What a great escape from the hustle and bustle of life! My family and I had a wonderful time at the Benedicts' cabin. It was clean, accommodating and in the right location for all of our planned activities. As stated in previous reviews, the deck overlooking the river was fantastic. We also met Mrs. Benedict and made some Tularosa connections. Small world! We will for sure be back for another visit.

Owner's Response: Yes, we too love the deck and think our location is perfect, since it is close to town but feels isolated because it is set back from the street and the cabins on either side are a ways off. It was nice to meet you and your family and we are glad you plan to return. See you any time!

Recommend this beautiful cabin!!

Awesome place to spend vacation time with your family. Great river view and perfect location on Ruidoso NM. This is the second time we go, the first time was on Christmas week where the place is beautiful as the Main Street is full with Christmas spirit, you're able to see Clydesdale horses rides as well. Recommend this beautiful cabin!!

Owner's Response: We are always happy to have returning guests and hope you continue to come. You may be interested to know that the village has added a tram to go up and down the main drag for $5 per day, getting on and off as you wish to sightsee or shop. It is very convenient to our cabin as it turns around right across the road.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This place is just what we were looking for in our get away. The Benidicts were very nice. The home was nice and very clean. Loved the back patio. There deer met us in the front yard when we arrived. They even were eating out of our hands. Family that joined us have already book another stay. Loved the price also.
