The home was conveniently located to town but had all the seclusion we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

Stepping out to the back deck sold the entire experience. The tranquilizing sound of the river, breeze blowing through the trees and the fragrance of the mountain outdoors says it all. We had bird varieties too numerous to count. A doe came by the first evening and was a regular guest. She brought her fawns and could not get enough of them. We had all our meals at home and everything we needed was provided for cooking and cleanup. We loved every minute.

Just as described

What a wonderful place to stay. The sound of the river all day and night was wonderful. Plenty of room and hot water! Close to everything. Even the deer were friendly!

Thanks for sharing your home with us.

WE WILL BE BACK!

Wonderful month long stay again this year

  • 4 of 5

We like the cabin so much that we have stayed there for our fourth year in a row. Most of our stays have been for a month to enjoy the comfortableness, quietness and to take advantage of the many things to it has offer. We are hoping to do it again next year.

Owner's Response: We have also enjoyed your stays here. We have become fast friends over the last four years and shared many excursions into the mountains together. Looking forward to next year.

Beautiful location. House was very clean and neat.

  • 4 of 5

We loved everything about the house and location except that it was advertised as air conditioned. The reality is that it's not air conditioned except for window units in the bedrooms.

Perfect and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived it felt like home. The deer came to great us which was wonderful. We were able to hand feed them. The view from the back patio is amazing. The cabin was well equipped and had far more than we expected. It was spotlessly clean. The cabin is set back from the road and very private which was perfect. So many of the cabins in Ruidoso are close together this one stands alone and you can walk down to the river easily. I absolutely will return and recommend this cabin to anybody. The owners were easy to contact and extremely nice. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It's a short easy drive into town but you feel like you are miles away from all the stress and worry of life. Perfect to relax, you'll never want to go home!!!

Owner's Response: Naturally we love your review, even though for some reason your category recommendations were not included. Incidentally, after you sent your last email about seeing the gray fox we have seen it twice, most recently at our newly listed cabin just upstream. Thanks a lot!!! And this morning we had two bull elk in our yard!!!
