Convenient yet quiet

What a great location; quiet yet between two very helpful stations for our visit throughout London, the outskirts and back to Gatwick.: Shepherds Bush and Olympia Station. Olympia is great for connecting to the southwest trains at Clapham Junction. Shepherds Bush (a longer walk) is great for central London. But also it’s a short walk to the busses on Addison…and you get to another part of London very easily.

We enjoyed the “pub” Bird in the Hand just around the corner for dinners and of course the Westfield Mall at Shepherds Bush for shopping. Only downside was no good shower; hot water was fine with the wand in the bath tub. Marie was very helpful in the introduction and Arthur was always ready to help.

Nous avons apprécié ce séjour, l'appartement est très bien situé calme, literie confortable, vue sur jardin superbe. Accueil de Daniel chaleureux et instructif concernant les adresses utiles du quartier, bref rien à redire. We are a family with 2 boys ( 12 et 14 ans) we enjoyed this trip. This flat is perfect.

Un premier séjour à Londres réussi

Appartement conforme à l'annonce situé dans un quartier résidentiel calme, à proximité des transports en commun et de toute commodités (superette, supermarché, etc...). L'appartement n'est pas grand mais très fonctionnel avec beaucoup de rangements. Tout le confort nécessaire est présent, rien ne manque. Les couchages sont de bonne qualité avec un lit double dans la chambre et 2 lits simples dans le séjour. Parfait pour une famille de 4 personnes. Pas mal de documentation touristique dans l'appartement. Deux parapluies sont également disponibles.

Accueil très sympathique par Daniel qui nous a fait part de ses bons plans. Une très bonne adresse, à conserver pour un prochain séjour.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Arthur's flat. The area is very convenient travelwise, the surroundings are quiet and the flat more than sufficiently equipped. We won't fail to recommend this address.

Excellent rental in wonderful location

We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and cheerful decor of this flat. Our group included three very tall individuals (shortest person was 6 feet tall). It would have been too cramped with four of us, but was perfect for three. The kitchen, although small, is well equipped and we cooked Christmas breakfast (sausages, roasted potatoes, and eggs) and dinner (turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and veggies) by resourcefully using the equipment and space. Only one person can really be in the kitchen at a time, however, so you need to be thoughtful in its use. One minor suggestion: the kitchen could use a few more plates and a bit more cutlery for these occasional cooking sprees. The flat was well cleaned and the beds were very comfortable.

The neighborhood was very safe. We used the Shepherds Bush tube station (Central Line) most (under 10 min walk if you use the Richmond 'cut through'). And to get to/from Heathrow, use the Barons Court Tube Station (about a 10 to 15 min walk away) on the Piccadilly Line. Good grocery shopping was found at the Morrisons just across the street from the Shepherds Bush Station, with even higher end food at the Waitrose in the Westfield shopping mall.

Arthur was very responsive to all my e-mails, even providing information on how to get an inexpensive mobile phone for use in the UK. He was terrifically helpful and this was a great rental in an excellent location.
