Villa Anelina is a traditional stone-built house, located in ‘Chavdata’, a quiet, hospitable village in Kefalonia Island. The villa was built according to the original Kefalonian architecture that prevailed in the 19th century and characterized all the living mansions of the era. It is fully equipped for a top-quality self-catering staying and is surrounded by spacious verandas and a well kept garden.

The villa was built in 2003 and mostly decorated with an authentic, antique-style furniture. It was first used as a holiday house from the owners (Rigas family), who gave all their heart into styling and looking after the villa. Later, it was qualified and licensed by the ‘HTO’, i.e the Hellenic Tourism Organization, complying with all standards, rules and comforts for a Holiday Rental. Live like a noble from another era, combining all comforts with a traditional, hospitable location. Enjoy your privacy, away from the fuss of the over-crowded touristic areas.

Villa Anelina (139m2) is a two-store house that can comfortable accommodate up to 6 people. It has 2 Master-Bedrooms in the first floor and 2 large living room-areas one in each floor with two double sofa-beds extending the sleeping facilities of the villa.

In the ground floor, you will find a living room-dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The furniture and decoration has been carefully selected and maintained according the old Kefalonian tradition, with carved sofas, antique-styled wooden chairs, hand-made fixtures and iron beds. The kitchen area consists of large cabinets, a full range of utensils, a dishwasher, a 4-ring oven, kettle, grill etc.

Upstairs, two large bedrooms with queen-size beds and top quality mattresses promise you the easiest sleep for your holiday. One bedroom is offering panoramic sea and valley views, while the other one is facing the gardens behind the villa. A comfortable living room next to the bedrooms includes a double sofa-bed and a TV system. The bathroom facilities consist of a luxury bathroom with tub upstairs, and a smaller one with shower room downstairs.

In front of the villa there is a large veranda with sun-beds for you to relax and enjoy the walnut tree’ s necessary shade. Next to the villa, there is a large terrace with a BBQ facility and a brick-built wooden oven for special evenings! Private Garage for your vehicle is available too.

About Tasos K Rigas

The Rigas family is involved with Rental Property services since 2003. Having already built a summer holiday resort (Porta del mar) in the neighbor Zante Island on 2002, they are very experienced on looking after guests and offering best quality services.

In 2003, Tasos and Pavlina decided to found a villa on the ruins of the old family house that collapsed during the grand earthquake in 1953 and literally leveled Kefalonia Island. Out of honor to Pavlina’ s father who had recently passed away, and inspired from the beauty of the location, Tasos took it personally, contributed with the building and made a dream holiday house for him and his family. The following years Tasos and Pavlina gave all their heart into styling and furnishing the house according to the old Kefalonian tradition and managed to revive its glory the villa once had as a living mansion.

Settled now in Zante Island, the Rigas Family is running their small hotel, and turned Villa Anelina into a self-catering Holiday Rental, which is approved and licenced under the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism. They are always on hand for any information you might need and will make sure that their representative in Kefalonia will welcome you, show you to your villa and will be always happy to support your questions.

Villa Anelina is located in the village of ‘Chavdata’, 5 Km west of ‘Lixouri’ town, the second largest community in Kefalonia. The area where the villa is placed is ideal for a calm and serene vacation.

Chavdata is a lovely rural village with a variety of flora growing wild, as well as adorning the gardens of the local village houses. The surrounding countryside provides interesting walks through the beautiful olive groves and the green valleys. Breathe in the heady herbal scents and listen out for the tinkling of goat bells!
