It was our first visit to the St. Augustine area and we did not know what to expect. We were meeting up with our friends from WA who had a wide range of ages of children too. The house was perfect for two families with a fridge on the main level and a fridge on the lower level. The house was clean and decently stocked. The pool table was a huge hit with the male teens in the house while the girls of all ages loved the close walk to the pool. The walk to the pool was about a minute and to the gorgeous beach it was under five minutes. The neighborhood was peaceful, quiet and attractive. The drive to historic St. Augustine was around ten minutes depending on traffic. Our friends ate at Mango Mango and said it was great. The adults ate at the Conch House our last night in St. Augustine and the location was amazing. We enjoyed touring the Fort, Ripley's Believe it or Not and the Pirates Museum. We loved ALL the beaches that we saw while in the area as they offered different things. One beach was filled with beautiful shells, one beach had sharks' teeth, one beach was calm for the younger ones to play in the waves and one had massive waves that the daring ones enjoyed. The Manager of this home, Patty, was very nice, professional and provided the almost never heard of anymore "customer service." We very much enjoyed out stay!

Thanksgiving get away

  • 3 of 5

Disappointing: When booking this property, I made a point to call & ask specifically about how well the kitchen was stocked with cookware, & cooking utensils as we had 7 folks staying and planning to cook our Thanksgiving meal. We were very disappointed with what was there, as I was told, "very well equipped". There were exactly 5 coffee cups & a lack of cookware for a big meal. 5 coffee cups is never acceptable when marketing a property to accommodate 8-10. Cookware may have been fine for "lighter" meals, but the question was asked by me and the expectation was set by the staff.

The sofas are tattered and tired. The rules required washing and drying all towels, which we were happy to do... but the washer was broke & would not spin, so we ended up having to hand-wring about 15 towels to put in the dryer. When I told the management team about this, there was no offer of compensation for the work or inconvenience, which as a VRBO owner myself would have offered some form of compensation for the inconvenience & labor involved & to thank someone for not throwing water logged towels in my dryer.

The GOOD: the property was clean. It easily accommodated our party of 7 and was within a short walk to the beach.

Perfect house

  • 5 of 5

We had two families at the house and it was perfect! We all had plenty of room to spread out and plenty of room to be together! It was short walk to the beach which made it an ideal location! Absolutely wonderful stay at this house and we can't wait to go back! Thanks so much!

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Rented for a second year via St Aug Vacation Rentals. Very smooth rental process and any minor problems were promptly and fairly addressed. Great unit, #15 Surf Crest, perfectly meeting my need with a downstairs bedroom for my 11 y/o and his three friends enjoying a birthday trip to beach. The pool table provided endless enjoyment for kids.

This rental was exactly what we were looking for. Not oversized, but was large in all the right places...mainly kitchen and rec room. Very clean and well stocked for cooking and lots of towels for showers.

Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent time. The Property was perfect for our family we had 6 Adults 3 Teenagers and a 8 Month old we had plenty of room we had a blast with the pool table. The access to the beach was great. The neighbors were friendly and quite. It was plenty close to historic downtown St. Augustine. We would recommend this property definitely and if we decide to return we will definitely look to come back to this location. Thank you all for a fabulous 3 day getaway.
