Accessed by spiral staircase within a purpose built Turret, equipped to the highest standard with central heating & double glazing the property is ideal for year round holidays. Two Balconies each with own airspace off both the living area and master bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with Baby Gaggia coffee mach.& Alessi equipment. Living/dining area with leather sofa and chair & 37'' flat screen t.v/Bluray/video & Bose/i phone dock and lead. Master bedroom with ensuite views of harbour & balcony. 2nd bedroom with views of Barnoon offers 2 single beds and zipped together make a super king bed. Molton Brown soap and hand cream dispensers in both bathrooms. Luxury bed linen & towels changed weekly. Free use of garage, location shown on our website (15'6x8'3 with 7'1 wide up and over door) a 5 min walk at Trerice Place, St Ives, TR26 1AT or parking outside on public car park. This second floor property benefits from superb views; there is no compromise with lost space and height restrictions often found at this floor level. The property is furnished with contemporary furniture including a large leather sofa and chair. There are Flat screen TVs in both bedrooms, In the lounge there is a Blu Ray & DVD player and 32'' Flat screen free view T V, & CD mini stereo with USB port and ipod docking station. Games, books DVD and videos. The Kitchen is fully equipped with Washer/dryer, dishwasher, double oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and even a 'Baby Gaggia' Italian cappuccino machine, Alessi electric kettle and toaster. The bedrooms have quality sprung mattresses, wardrobes with shelves, drawers and bedside tables. Bed linen, bath and hand towels and tea towels are provided. The lounge balcony has table/2 chairs. Both lounge and main bedroom balconies have their own airspace. Double Sofa Bed may be used by arrangement. NO PETS ALLOWED IN DEVELOPMENT.

Lovely flat, perfect location

A modern, clean, well-equipped property, every bit as good as the website description suggests - the view from the two balconies really does have to be seen to be believed The location is ideal for the town, harbour, beaches and coastal path walking. Loads of restaurants and bars within 5-10 minutes walk.. The money/admin side of things was prompt, professional and friendly. No hesitation in recommending Wave to the most discerning customer.

Brilliant place......

We really enjoyed our stay here and have to say that the apartment is first class in all respects. Nicely furnished with good quality appliances, loads of cookery accessories if you want to cater for yourself and nice views across the rooftops to the sea. Really comfortable beds, pillows etc. Nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a glass of something in the sun. Nothing negative at all, easy to deal with Ian and Caroline who really want you to enjoy yourselves.

A few minutes walk from plenty of eateries and you're just far enough away from the main harbour to avoid the crowds if you want to. Nothing in St Ives is far away, so you won't need your car while you're here. Don't underestimate the convenience of the garage as parking in St Ives can be tedious and satnavs can lead to some embarrassing u-turns. Use the directions provided by Ian to get to the garage from the apartment......my satnav took me via a route that wasn't made for anything larger than the smallest car ever made!

The car park opposite the apartment is 7.50 per day if you don't use the garage, but one reviewer mentioned that it gets very busy. We didn't think it was but noticed that some of the builders working on the Tate park in there so I guess that may be having an effect.

Would definitely go back, sad to leave!

Owner's Response: We aim to provide first class accommodation for our guests. We try to make things as easy as we can so that your holiday starts when you open the door. St Ives Harbour is laid out before you and we try to ensure you have everything you need whether you're eating in or sitting out on one of the balconies. We employ local people and our Cleaners are conscientious. Parking in St Ives is at a premium and there is a large car park opposite. As you'll see on the website we offer the free use of a nearby garage. However with Porthmeor beach just down from the apartment block as well as restaurants, shops and bars close by most of our guests forget the car and just enjoy St Ives. Thank you for this review.

Epic stay really can't wait to come back to this fantastic penthouse apartment, well equipped kitchen, beautiful views for are living room and mane bedroom windows and my 13 year old daughter cart wait to hit the waves with her suff bored again. Great people Caroline and lan straight forward booking and relly easy. Wood and had done recommend to stay at 5 ocean breeze. 🐚🐡🐳🌞🌊🏄🎣👪🐟🍟🍦🍤🍣🌄🌅

Fabulous Easter Break....

Lovely apartment in a perfect location. We were grateful for the uphill walk back to the apartment after some fantastic meals! The use of the garage was a definite plus. We enjoyed lovely walks, great food, lively pubs all on the doorstep. Even though the weather was changeable, it did not affect the enjoyment of our stay. Hope to secure a week next year with our deposit from this break. Fabulous!!!

A great apartment!

This is a lovely apartment with great views and close to the town centre with all its facilities but it's still very quiet - it was also clean and well appointed. The balconies were a definite plus - when it wasn't lashing down! Porthmeor beach, one of the best surfing and body boarding beaches in Cornwall, is only 100m away (albeit steep!) and the lovely family beach at Porthminster is only a 15 minute walk. The town centre is another (steep!) 5 minute walk to a good variety of pubs (we liked The Sloop and The Lifeboat) and bakers/eateries.

All the arrangements were handled efficiently and we got our deposit back very quickly. The garage is quite small - I couldn't quite fit my Mondeo in it and still close the door - and a 5 minute walk away but it saves the trauma and cost of parking in the long stay car park outside the building (this was very busy when we were there with few, if any, spaces). All in all, a great apartment which we would recommend and probably use again if we were to visit St Ives again.

Wave 5 is in the heart of St Ives a lovely historic Cornish fishing village with a maze of cobbled streets jumbled with restaurants, galleries, pubs and clubs. Its many attractions are activities such as swimming, surfing, body boarding, walking, tennis, horse riding, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. Take the scenic train journey to Carbis bay beach or all the way to St Erth and back. St Ives has a history in the pilchard trade and during the season there is an opportunity to join 'Shanty Baba', to hear some of the local tales. Food is on offer in restaurants, cafes and pubs offering fresh locally caught fish. Entertainment in the summer can be found at the open air theatre not too far away. Other attractions near by are the Eden Project, Flambards and the gardens at Helygon close to the Helford River. Weekly bookings are usually Friday to Friday, Minimum 3 night breaks available out season in the periods shown.
A damage deposit of £100 will be required with the final balance and will be returned shortly after the holiday has ended.

A deposit of £100 per week is required to book the property with the balance and £100 damage deposit due 8 weeks before the holiday starts. We recommend that holiday cancelation insurance is taken out at the time of booking.
'QUOTABLE RATES' have been introduced by home away, please note that if the rate quoted for short breaks is higher than the weekly rate, the weekly rate will apply.
