Zahara de los Atunes: Consolidates as fishing village when the Duke of Medina Sidonia built the Palacio de las Pilas in the 15th century, conceived both as military strength for the defence of invaders and pirates as factory for the exploitation of the bluefin tuna fishing concessions.

All together with a rich cuisine, mainly fish emphasizes the bluefin tuna is currently exported mostly to Japan.
How to arrive: A few kilometres are Jerez with its unmatched cellars, and Gibraltar airports. We have a little further airports of Malaga and Seville, less than 2 hours from Zahara car.
tourist visits: From the nearby village of Tarifa you can pass to Africa to Ceuta, Spanish city and Tangier, Morocco, through a ferry that makes possible the outward and return on the same day.
Desastrosa estancia.
Zahara is a lovely area and the apartment is in an ideal place; near the beach as well as near to the local restaurants and bars.
The sofa bed is small and uncomfortable and not big enough for teenagers, our two hardly slept. It's ideal for 6 people.
The swimming pool is in the shade most of the time and there is a lack of 'green',everything is concrete. We weren't that bothered as we spent most of our days on the beach.
The apartment could have done with a good clean (bathrooms/kitchen) and the kitchen equipment is very basic.
You really need a car to be able to see all the lovely beaches surrounding Zahara. i would love to go back there.
LA DESCRIPCION DEL ANUNCIO ES COMO APARECE, ES MUY PRECISO. TIENE VARIOS ASPECTOS NEGATIVOS A COMENTAR:
- MENAJE DE COCINA RIDICULO PARA LAS PERSONAS QUE ALQUILAN LA VIVIENDA, 4 VASOS, 4 CUCHARILLAS, 6 PLATOS, ... HAY QUE LIMPIARLO TODO PARA PODER TERMINAR DE COMER.
-LIMPIEZA MEJORABLE EN GENERAL.
-SI NO ESTAN PERMITIDAS MASCOTAS, SEAN MAS ESTRICTOS CON LAS MASCOTAS, YA QUE HABIAN VARIOS PERROS.
-EN LA PISCINA DEBEN DE PONER TUMBONAS O ALGO PARA PODER SENTARSE O TOMAR EL SOL EN LOS DIAS DE AIRE, PARA PODER APROVECHARLA.
-DEBERIAN DE REPONER LAS TOALLAS Y LAS SABANAS PARA ESTANCIAS MAYORES DE UNA SEMANA, ASÍ ME LO DIJERON.
EN GENERAL NOS GUSTO PERO UN POCO CARO, IGUAL REPETIMOS. ESPERO QUE SEAN DE UTILIDAD LOS CONSEJOS.
Zahara de los Atunes is a small fishing village south of Spain, in Cadiz province. This privileged corner is sheltered by the foothills of two mountain ranges, where it opens to the sea with 16 miles of beaches that reach the town of Barbate, with crystalline waters and incomparable sand colors highlighting the strong light greens, turquoise and deep blue contrasting with the silver and gold sunsets.
Its long beaches and its fine, clean sands have made it ideal for construction and maintenance of the arts that are used for tuna fishing. Arts that were brought by the Phoenicians and then were exploited by the Romans, there are archaeological remains in the environment, and Arabs and that have endured until today.
