I have been renting this property since 2006, and have met many lovely guests. I always want my guests to be comfortable and feel at home in 5 Abbey Court. Your stay in Dublin is important to me and I am always happy to advise on things to do in our lovely city.
Joan purchased this apartment in 2002
I chose this property because though it was built in the 1980s it is a quality building, completely concrete throughout and therefore solid and quiet.
Abbey Court is an ideal base for exploring Dublin City and environs. you can easily hop to Belfast, Galway and Cork from here by bus or train.
thank you for the hospitality, we have had a wonderful time in and around Dublin and the apartment was wonderful, best regards
the apartment is centrally located & perfect for those who are independent and looking for self catering lodging. the owner, joan, was tremendously helpful and kind. highly recommended. i would definitely stay there again!
We stayed two full weeks and this flat was perfect for us - clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped, and at an excellent rental. The location was exceptional, in a residential building with many pubs and restaurants close by, as well as convenient shopping for food and everyday items. Public transportation and many major attractions are within walking distance, including O'Connell Street - and be sure to catch a performance at the Abbey Theatre, just a block away. Joan and her associate Hugh were fantastic - always available to answer all of our questions (from suggestions on things to see and do with answers geared toward our unique interests because Joan took the time to ask and listen, to assistance with issues with our own electronics). We would happily stay at this location again - it would feel like we were coming home.

I stayed here with my girlfriend while on vacation in Dublin, and we totally loved it. The large, bright living room has tall windows facing out over a fountain. We were planning on going out for dinner, but the apartment was so appealing we ended up cooking and having a romantic little meal here instead.
The apartment's location was perfect for our needs: walking distance from most of central Dublin's major (tourist) attractions, but quiet and safe at night. Joan, the owner, is cheerful, kind, and professional, and made sure we were totally happy with the experience. I totally recommend this rental to anybody looking for a central spot in Dublin.
Listing description very accurate.
Property well maintained except a smell of spanish food when we came in.
We would recommend this property to a friend as it's in the center of Dublin and the appartment has all the facilities.
We are a couple who has been in Dublin for 6 days August 18th till August the 24th. Good experience
The apartment is very close to anywhere you go and very quiet. It is next to a parking where you can park your car for very little money (7pm-10am 5€)
The apartment itself had everything we needed. It is wide and clean. We were in the first floor but it didn't affect our sleep. We felt a bit like at home.
There is a bus stop next to the apartment where the DART bus stops.
Joan has been a good help for us. The first day, Joan left some tins of beer and some cakes in the fridge for us and told us where we could do some shopping. She also speaks Spanish which helped us. Good job Joan.
It will not be the first time with Joan.
Many thanks from the Basque Country
We had a great time in this apartment with our daughter. It was clean, comfortable and in the heart of the city, walking distance from shops, groceries, bus, LOAN and train station, full furnished of all you need, from towel to free internet! I recommend it to anyone want stay in Dublin without trouble
Abbey Court is right in the centre of Dublin city and perfect for exploring the tourist attractions The map location is slightly wrong, my property is not Abbey Court Hostel/Apartments on Bachelors Walk. It is just off Lower Abbey Street in the Irish Life Centre. Across the road is the famous Abbey Theatre, where a programme of Irish plays runs all year round. It is also a few minutes walk from the IFSC the principal commercial centre of the city and the Convention Centre. The vibrant Temple Bar with its many restaurants, bars, music, galleries, arts, and exhibitions is five minutes walk.
