Location: Great location for exploring Dublin city. All major attractions are within a ten minutes walk. Ideally located for city and country transport links. The new convention centre is 10 minutes walk or five on the Luas, www.theccd.ie..
I have been renting this property since 2006, and have met many lovely guests. I always want my guests to be comfortable and feel at home in Abbey Court. Your stay in Dublin is important to me and I am always happy to advise on things to do in our lovely city and country.
Joan purchased this apartment in 2002
I chose this property because though it was built in the 1980s it is a quality building, completely concrete throughout and therefore solid and quiet. Currently this complex is being refreshed and there is ongoing construction work. The complex is having a complete makeover which will enhance working and living here. While work is not being done inside the building, there may be some construction noise from around the area.
Abbey Court is an ideal base for exploring Dublin City and environs. you can easily hop to Belfast, Galway and Cork from here by bus or train.
thank you for the hospitality, we have had a wonderful time in and around Dublin and the apartment was wonderful, best regards

Don't expect first class accommodations... the apartment needs a little work/updating. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. There is a Tesco and other stores within a few minutes walk to buy food and essentials. We had a couple of problems during our stay but Joan, the owner, had them corrected ASAP. I can't say enough about the LOCATION - in just a few minutes you can walk to practically everything important in central Dublin. For things a little further out, buses and the light rail (Luas) red line system stop almost out the front door. The main bus station is about five minutes away where we caught a bus for a quick day trip to Waterford. I would definitely recommend this location as long as you know you're not getting the Hilton.
Great location. Within walking distance of shopping, trains, buses and many tourist attractions. No car needed. Joan was a very gracious host.
Certainly an apartment, you would like to stay in again.

the apartment is centrally located & perfect for those who are independent and looking for self catering lodging. the owner, joan, was tremendously helpful and kind. highly recommended. i would definitely stay there again!
We stayed two full weeks and this flat was perfect for us - clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped, and at an excellent rental. The location was exceptional, in a residential building with many pubs and restaurants close by, as well as convenient shopping for food and everyday items. Public transportation and many major attractions are within walking distance, including O'Connell Street - and be sure to catch a performance at the Abbey Theatre, just a block away. Joan and her associate Hugh were fantastic - always available to answer all of our questions (from suggestions on things to see and do with answers geared toward our unique interests because Joan took the time to ask and listen, to assistance with issues with our own electronics). We would happily stay at this location again - it would feel like we were coming home.

I stayed here with my girlfriend while on vacation in Dublin, and we totally loved it. The large, bright living room has tall windows facing out over a fountain. We were planning on going out for dinner, but the apartment was so appealing we ended up cooking and having a romantic little meal here instead.
The apartment's location was perfect for our needs: walking distance from most of central Dublin's major (tourist) attractions, but quiet and safe at night. Joan, the owner, is cheerful, kind, and professional, and made sure we were totally happy with the experience. I totally recommend this rental to anybody looking for a central spot in Dublin.
Abbey Court is right in the centre of Dublin city and perfect for exploring the tourist attractions The map location is slightly wrong, my property is not Abbey Court Hostel/Apartments on Bachelors Walk. It is just off Lower Abbey Street in the Irish Life Centre. Across the road is the famous Abbey Theatre, where a programme of Irish plays runs all year round. It is also a few minutes walk from the IFSC the principal commercial centre of the city and the Convention Centre. The vibrant Temple Bar with its many restaurants, bars, music, galleries, arts, and exhibitions is five minutes walk.
