Peace and tranquility.

  • 5 of 5

I wish I could post videos. The falls were so powerful and mesmerizing from all the rain. I could ramble forever about how peaceful it is here. I plan to come back for a week of mental recovery. And I plan to pack a cooler full of food so I don't have to leave. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator and freezer and a microwave and traditional coffee maker. There is a grill outside. I plan to use it next trip. The bathroom is huge. Double bowl sink with a soapstone counter top. The shower is up a large step. It is not handicapped friendly. My 78 y.o. MIL was with us though and she had no problems getting in and out. There were plenty of clean towels. More than enough for 4 people and there is a washer and dryer if you need it. There is a small tv in the living room with Dish network but the views and the nature trails are far more interesting than the tv. There are three bedrooms. Two of them have a queen sized bed. One of those two bedrooms has a view of the falls. You can be lulled to sleep by the sound of the water. Outside of this room is a pass through area from the living room with a twin bed. It is not a private area. Would be great if you have a child with you. The third bed room has a bunk bed. The top bunk is a twin and the bottom is a full sized bed. Linens and pillows were provided as well as comforters if needed. There is Wifi if you need it and coverage is spotty. Works great on the rock across the bridge and on the side of the bed closest to the falls and the couch by the tv. Yes. We needed it. To post photos of wildlife. We saw several bears while driving down the road but sadly no Moose sightings. We did not disturb the bears and when we stopped our car to look they ran. You should be safe if you are not stupid. Don't chase them and don't put food or trash outside. Diane was very responsive to any questions I had. My questions were is there coffee available? Yes. Is there a Keurig? No. What channel is NBCSN? Hockey play offs. Is there a phone in the house? No. My suggestion for a place to eat. Inn at Whitefield in Whitefield. About 40 minutes away. We also ate at the little local corner diner called North something or another. It was surprisingly very good and excellent service. The Irish restaurant I would pass on. Poor service, unfriendly staff and mediocre food.

A unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience

  • 5 of 5

Diane and Don's place is amazing. In spring when we visited, the pictures do not do justice - it is a roaring river and was absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed the falls, the many details the house has, and all the functionalities that they have managed so well. We appreciate Diane's help when we locked ourselves out (she has even thought of this scenario) and tried to reach us through email, text, calls and made sure we got back in. I'm hoping to come back again and live on the waterfalls - not sure I can say that of any other place. Thanks much for sharing your place!

Absolutely loved the house.

  • 5 of 5

Will definitely stay here again. Told owner we would be snowmobiling and she left a hand drawn map on how to access trails which saved alot of time searching for it. Absolutely loved the river running beside the house!

Plenty of sleeping space and fully equipped kitchen was nice. Found our new winter getaway.

Fantastic place!

  • 5 of 5

1, The rooms are very clean and very big (for a group of 8 to 10 people)

2, This house is not far from the ski areas (wildcat/attitash etc.), around 30-40 min.

3, The house owner is super helpful.

I would definitely recommend this house and book it again in the future when skiing at wildcat.

Perfect House for a snowmobile weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We had 6 guys 6 snowmobiles 2 trucks with trailers and had room for it all! Loved the house! It definitely has character on the inside. Very clean and comfortable. A little warm due to a faulty thermostat but opening a window was fine especially with the sound of the river flowing right next to us! Snowmobile trail was a half of a mile right up Paris road and was very easy to find the house by trail. We will definitely be back!

Quaint cabin in a beautiful area

  • 4 of 5

Myself and 9 of my friends went up to stay at the vinyards home for two nights for New Years weekend. We loved the river that ran right next to the house, such a nice view when waking up in the morning!

Upon arrival the home was clean and tidy. Plenty of room for all of us. Beds were very comfortable and we felt relaxed.

They have a nice grill on the deck if you want to do some grilling.

Tv setup was outdated so you can't watch a DVD at night if you'd want, but besides that all of us loved staying here.

Highly recommend for large groups and small groups alike. Northern New Hampshire is beautiful and it was great place to stay to enjoy it in!

Thank you very much Diane

-Ron
