SUMMARY

Three Mangoes is a charming 2 bed 1 bath apartment on Calle del Cristo in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Old San Juan, settled in 1521, is the oldest Spanish city in all of America and is famous for its history, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. From three Mangoes you’ll be able to comfortably explore everything the iconic Old San Juan has to offer. Location and price is what makes this apartment stand apart from the rest. It is important to point out that the common areas of the building are not in great condition but the apartment is very well kept. The apartment is located on a 3rd floor accesible via stairs.The property has 2 bedrooms, each with a full bed, 1 bathroom, a simple kitchen, terrace, flat screen TV, and wifi. The bedrooms have floor AC units in case the evening is not breezy (it usually is). Old San Juan is an urban location with old construction and as a result you can hear your neighbors and your neighbors will hear you. We ask that all guests respect their neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10:00pm. We also like to point out that guests should come prepared to hear their neighbors during the day. This is normal in Old San Juan.

LIVING AREAS

Enter the apartment to an open layout with the living and dining room under 12 foot ceilings. There is ample sun light and breeze once you open the windows. The dining table comfortably sits four adults. There is a terrace overlooking the interior patio of the building which provides an outdoor experience with less noise and more privacy than a balcony overlooking the busy Old San Juan streets. The living room has a futon sofa that pulls out as a full bed.

BEDROOMS

Three Mangoes has 2 cozy bedrooms, each with a full bed, closet, ceiling fan, and floor AC which you can use if the evenings are too hot. You’ll love the checkered floors and extra clean linens provided with your stay.

KITCHEN

Three Mangoes has a small and tidy kitchen ideal for whipping up a quick breakfast before exploring Old San Juan or for preparing some appetizers for happy hour. There is a fridge with freezer, microwave oven, and a plug-in dual stovetop.

LOCATION

Location. Location. Location. Three Mangoes has one of the best locations in Old San Juan. You will be staying in the middle of the old city – which means you can comfortably walk to anywhere within Old San Juan from the apartment. Three Mangoes is on a busy street but its location within the building makes it much more quiet than you would expect while still providing ample sunlight and breeze. We recommend taking a cab from the airport and using uber or taxi while you stay at Old San Juan. This is a true walkable location with everything you need a shot walk away. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance:

1.Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must do.

2.Lunch, Brunch, or Dinner at La Mala Vida. La Mala Vida is home to one of the most popular brunches in Puerto Rico. Let them know you are staying a Three Mangoes and they’ll give you a nice discount!

3.Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

4.Breakfast at “La Bombonera”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries.

5.Take a stroll around “Paseo La Princesa”, a waterfront walkway which you can start off at El Morro and finish of the walk with a rum tasting at Princesa Gastrobar at the end of the trail.

AMENITIES:

West Indies strives to Deliver top notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. If you are staying for more than 3 nights and the property does not have a washer and dryer we can coordinate a complimentary towel changeover, subject to availability. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs, an ice cooler, and wireless speaker for your outdoor excursions.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 2 rolls of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

Anything you might need, we want to make your experience the best it can be!

HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00pm

Check-out time is at 11:00am

Keep noise to a minimum after 10:00pm.

All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.

Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children

Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.

Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged from damage deposit

Subletting not allowed

Host will not pay for hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of cancelling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
