Stunning location

  • 5 of 5

The house is a beautiful well appointed property with all mod cons exactly as described in the owners write up. The main attraction is the stunning location perched on a hill with far reaching views to Todi & beyond & the photos simply do not do it justice. There is a well tended garden to to the front of the property but the star attraction is the pool. The pool is oriented east to west so catches the sun from early morning until late in the evening. The portico at the house front provides a perfect opportunity for al fresco dining.

The booking process with Thomas was simple & efficient with emails answered within the hour.

All in all a really enjoyable experience & if we holiday again in Umbria this will be our first choice.

Thanks Thomas

Great view, small house

  • 3 of 5

The views from this house are indeed beautiful. However, if you happen to hit a spell of bad weather, as we did, and are confined inside, you may feel it a bit cramped. Living room only fits 2 or 3 comfortably; if extension dining table is opened, all floor space is gone. There are only two real bedrooms. The other two listed are a loft, up 13 treacherous steps and open to noise below. ( no bathroom at that level.) And an attic with a bed in it--along with the washing machine. No AC and in warm weather upper rooms could be stifling. The place was clean, and service was fine. But I do think the bedroom description is misleading. On the plus side, we loved Todi.

Owner's Response: I am truly sorry to hear that you felt ‘a bit cramped’. It’s not a big house that’s true but if you thoroughly read my description and look at the pictures (and the floor plan on our homepage) there is no reason to be mislead. Yes, there are two bedrooms on the upper floor. The first one has no door, that’s right. A lot of people like that ‘open’ feeling but obviously you didn’t, sorry. The other bedroom is with a door (to block out the ‘noise below’). Yes, it’s an attic with a bed and there is also a washing machine there but I’ve never asserted anything else. When people ask about the ‘Sleeps 6 + 3’ - sentence in the heading, I always explain that it’s usually a perfect fit for children - they love to have their own ‘department’. Here’s the description from the ‘Facilities’-section: The storage is large (30m2). The ceiling is slanting. 1 large double bed (160x200) + 1 double sofa bed (160x190) + 1 cot. Children likes it! Also, I cannot recognize the description of the so called ‘treacherous’ 13 steps to the upper floor. The stairway is 100% stone and there’s a railing all the way. We’ve had people 80+ using the upper floor bedrooms without any problems. Again, I am sorry that you where disappointed. I cannot change the size of the house (or living room) but in my opinion, I’ve described it very truthful without exaggerating anything. We have been renting this place for 10 years now and people love the place - see the other reviews. The guests that took over from you (same number of people) has just booked the house again for next year. Kind regards Thomas Ovesen

A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

After driving along a 'strada bianca' for about a mile we arrived at the gates and saw the house in front of us and we sighed like 'ahhhh'. The minute we openend the doors to the house we felt that this house was right for us. Plenty of room (family of 4) and tastefully decorated. We had read about 'the million dollar view', but I can't begin to tell you how the ever changing light across the hills made us feel. Very happy. The grounds are well kept and the large covered terrace is fantastic throughout the day. We enjoyed the pool both day and night. In the morning we would check if the frogs hadn't accidently jumped in the pool and rescued them if necessary. This is a great place to relax and unwind if you don't mind a bit of drive up the hills and be 'away from it all'.

Thomas was always very easy and felt trustworthy to communicate with. We fell in love with the town of Todi and went up there on several occassions.

vacances de rêve

  • 5 of 5

Perfect house with stunning views in a peaceful location. The house had plenty of room for our family of six to spread out. Everything inside was clean and fresh. Good water pressure and hot water supply. Comfortable beds. The outdoor spaces were simply amazing! The location was great for day trips to the hill towns of Umbria and Tuscany. (10-15 minutes down gravel and narrow roads to a main highway.) Thomas provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. Highly recommended!

We've been here in 2010 for 2 weeks, and 3 weeks in 2013.unfortunately it's allready fully booked for the summer of 2014, but we hope for the summer in 2015!!! Quadro is one of the best places in the world. U get the rest U so badly need after working like crazy for the whole year. The sun, the food, the view from the house, the fireflies in the night, the geckos, the pool....EVERYTHING is soooo beutiful, peaceful and welcoming!! I hope The Ovesons will rent out the house for many, many years to come. Wanna go there again a 3rd time for a wonderful vaccation. Thanx Thomas with family for 2 wonderfull vaccations!
