Teglios comprises the upper two floors of a large period property on the edge of Looe harbour. The property is wonderfully spacious, is full of character and has the most lovely views of Looe harbour from all the principal rooms. In addition the property has been thoughtfully equipped to make it suitable for guests with disabilities.
On entering the property by a wide doorway there are stairs and a stair-lift to the first floor landing. This is spacious and floored throughout in oak and gives access to: the master bedroom, a lovely dual aspect room furnished with a super king size double bed. Also on this level is another double bedroom with king sized bed and a third room also with king size bed and an additional electrically adjustable single med . The main bathroom on this level is arranged as a fully tiled wet room with large shower area (suitable for use with a wheelchair), bath, basin and w.c. Finally the utility room is located on this floor and is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer.
Stairs, again with stair-lift, lead to the upper floor landing. From here access is gained to the shower room with shower enclosure, basin and w.c. and the vast sitting/dining room/kitchen. This is a stunning room being some 40 feet long, floored in solid oak and with two sets of french doors to juilet balconies. The ceiling is high with exposed beams and a gallery room has been created which has a double bed. The furnishings are a happy blend of the modern and the traditional including high quality burgundy leather sofas and armchairs, period furniture and, in common with the other rooms, attractive fabrics.
The dining area has a very large mahogany dining table just perfect for entertaining. There is a 48" 4K flatscreen smart TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player. The property has unlimited broadband and a Bose bluetooth sound system, there is also table football. The kitchen area is open plan to this room and is in cream of Shaker style, fully fitted with halogen hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a small breakfast table and chairs.
Throughout Teglios there are lovely examples of period furniture and paintings and many decorative items of taste and interest. The location is superb with the main sandy beach of Looe only a minutes stroll away as is a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The busy harbour with its constant flow of fishing and pleasure craft is a delightful prospect both by day and night. The accommodation will be appreciated by those wishing to be at the heart of the old town with all that it has to offer immediately to hand. Looe is an ancient and picturesque fishing port on the southeast coast of Cornwall. Famous for its shark angling club the town has a maze of tiny streets which lead from the bustling harbour through streets lined with a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants to the fine sandy beach. Looe is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall with the Eden Project only a 40 min drive away and the north coast, Padstow and St.Ives, etc.being reachable in about an hour. The fine cities of Truro and Plymouth and the delights of Dartmoor can be easily enjoyed for a day out.
Water sports, sailing, fishing, fine golf courses, riding, coastal and country walking are all readily to hand.
