Why Karen Harris chose Hiawassee
This home, The Honey Lodge, is a cozy log cabin, nestled in the trees and mountains. A private setting with a beautiful view. Two steps to the porch and living area with the master on the main with a view of the mountains and Brasstown Bald. Only one mile off main HWY 76 and one mile to the middle of Hiawassee. Ingles Grocery is very nice with a Starbucks inside. Very peaceful and you can hear the stream after a rain.
What makes this Cabin unique
This true log home is only one mile off the main road, HWY 76 in Hiawassee Georgia. The home is secluded and has many hardwood trees around the home with plenty of parking. What is unique about this home is it has a beautiful view of the North Ga. mountains which is the national forest so no other homes are seen on the view along with a Lake Chatuge view. Very close to shopping and dinning, about 2 miles. This is a great home to get away and relax with nature. With a new hot tub and hammock.

The cabin was immaculate. Peaceful and well equipped. The owner was conscientious and called a couple of times just to make sure everything was ok. This will be on our short list of go-to places for quiet getaways.
Great property, beautiful mountain views, wonderful experience
It was a great get away for the family and fur friends. Property is wonderful and plenty of room upstairs and downstairs. Well maintained and no issues. Highly recommend
Can not speak highly enough about our experience! Every question answered and awesome communication! We will definitely be back!
Cozy secluded cabin with a view 😍
We loved our Valentine’s weekend at the Honey Lodge! Cabin was very clean and well appointed. Hot tub was fantastic on the cold winter nights. Really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace, nothing like watching a real fire along with smells and crackling sounds to make you feel warm and cozy. Fire pit outside had a nice big wooden rocker to enjoy the views. Also appreciated that we were allowed to bring our dogs. They loved roaming around and exploring. Karen was super helpful and easy to work with. We will be back if you’ll have us!! Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven! ❤️
Beautiful inside and out! Everything thing was in perfect working order.
This cabin is all about location! It’s only a couple of minutes to town, but is very secluded above the trees! The view of the lake and mountains offers a retreat like none other! The cabin is well appointed and we felt so at home from the moment we arrived! From the hot tub you can see the beautiful peaks, valley below and gorgeous lake! It’s proximity to so many nearby attractions makes this a place we will stay again and again. Karen was a wonderful host. She gave great driving directions; however, out GPS took us there with no trouble at all. If there was a down side, I would have to say it was being expected to load the trash in my car and find a place dispose of it as is expected by the owner. Also, be prepared to strip the beds before you leave and start a washer load of whatever towels you dirty before you leave. This was unusual to us; however, we felt for the great price of the rental we could concede this. We wanted to feel like we were on vacation, which should include the luxury of leaving unmade beds and not having to wash the towels. Also, be prepared to clean the fireplace of any ashes left from buring wood. This really negated the enjoyment of having a fire burning, but my husband didn’t seem to mind the chore as much as I did. Next time we stay here we will keep all the extra work in mind.
Another peaceful getaway at one of Karen's cabins!
This is the 9th or 10th time we've stayed at one of Karen's properties. We found everything in perfect order when we arrived. Even in February the weather is only mildly cold. We will definitely be staying again.
Hiawassee is a beautiful, peaceful town, so you can "get away" from the city. This home has a hot tub with a view of the North Georgia Mountains. The Georgia Mountain fair occurs twice a year in Hiawassee, along with several other activities at the fairground and concert with famous singers. There is a mountain beach and playground for kids and teens. The German Alpine village, Helen Georgia is only 25 mins away and Gatlinburg Tenn. is a beautiful 2 hour drive. Lake Chatuge is in town and is one of the most beautiful lakes in Georgia with fishing, boating and swimming.
