This luxury apartment is strategically located in the Heart of Lisbon City Centre, just 150 meters from 'Avenida da Liberdade', which is considered to be one of the most elegant place in Lisbon. This boulevard, built in the 19th century in the style of the Champs-Elysees in Paris, is the main avenue of the city. It links the famous Marquês de Pombal Square to the Restauradores Square (Lisbon's historic centre). The avenue is also the site of the city's many 5* hotels and designer outlets including Hugo Boss, Armani, Hermés & Louis Vuitton.

DOWNTOWN LISBON - BAXIA : Is the heart of the city. It is the main shopping and banking district that stretches from the riverfront to the Avenida da Liberdade, with streets named according to the shopkeepers and craftsmen who traded in the area. Most attractions can be easily reached on foot. Metro, buses, trams and taxis at the door and trains to Sintra and Cascais at short walking distances

Baixa because it oozes life, its old world charm mixing easily with today’s action. Rua Augusta is the main tourist street and here alongside the Art Nouveau store fronts, grizzled old locals read the papers hung at corner kiosks and tourists settle in at premium-rate pavement cafés watching a parade of buskers, street artists and the ubiquitous Peruvian pan pipers.

The Baixa’s central square, Rossio, provides some of the best free entertainment in the city. All of Lisbon’s masses seem to drift across Rossio’s undulating mosaic paving at some time. Stop for a coffee and watch the passing scene.

The nondescript facade of the 'Casa do Alentejo' restaurant in Rua das Portas de Santo Antao hides a most beautiful Moorish interior. The price of the meal (reasonably high, but the food is excellent) is justified by the surroundings. Take a walk down Rua Augusta, the city's main shopping street but you will find that most goods can be found cheaper elsewhere. Stop and look at Sao Domingos Church, to the right of the National Theatre.

Lisbon famous landmark São Jorge Castle is less than 15 min walk from the apartment.

Comfortable apartment in historic renovation project with great location.

Maxwell the manager is a fine person and helped with reasonable requests. The railroad station, metro and ferries were all within walking distance. Our stay of 30 days allowed us to really enjoy Lisbon, Sintra and Calcilhas. We made friends with the cafe workers on the Avenue Liberdade--tell Pedro at Delta Q that the New Jersey couple said high. The grocery store just a block away was adequate for most of our needs.

Great space and awesome location! Clean beautiful old style apartment

Great place for 4 of us, steps away from the main avenue and the central plazas and restaurants. Check in and out was easy and we were even able to coordinate a last minute airport pick up which was so nice to have!

AC units in house that actually work (been at a lot that don't) and they have a washing machine which is nice if you need to wash clothes. Def would recommend staying here...

Good experience for the price.

Our experience overall was a good one for the price. However, be aware of a few things. Our airport pick up was almost an hour late and did not have our name board when we arrived. Secondly, the apartment was cold at times and when we requested an additional space heater, we were told we were at maximum capacity for electrical use and could not use one. Thirdly, the shower water was lukewarm and not hot as to be expected. Really great location, responsive owner and decent deal for the price.

Convenient location

First of all, be aware that the apartment is not in the building in the photo, which had been my impression when I booked it. It is situated up a fairly steep hill, about 5 minutes brisk walk from the Avenue and about 10 minutes from the centre of town. Our first impressions upon seeing the outside of the building was of disappointment, but once inside we were pleasantly surprised as it was a lovely apartment, recently refurbished to a modern standard and all spotlessly clean. It was also extremely well equipped. The lobby of the building however was very dreary, with paint peeling from the walls and the main front entrance door did not lock, which was a little concerning. We weren't overly concerned about safety, but would have been happier if the front entrance was secured at night as has always been our experience in the past when staying in apartments of this type. We visited some excellent restaurants over the 3 nights - there was a talented singer/guitarist at the Brazilian steakhouse where we spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening and the Italian restaurant was also very good. I can also recommend the hop on/hop off bus as a way of seeing the sights, and the Tukxi for exploring the steep, narrow streets of the old town. For convenience, I can recommend this apartment although probably not for anyone who finds walking uphill difficult. Also, be aware that on top of the booking fee the owner also requires a returnable deposit of £100 upon arrival and a further 45 euros for cleaning and laundry, which we weren't aware of until a week before. The deposit was returned upon our collection for the airport - complimentary airport transfers are included, which offsets the cleaning fee as we didn't have to book a taxi. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

It was completely rebuilt after the Great Earthquake of 1755 with streets flanked by uniform, neoclassical buildings. This was Europe's first great example of neoclassical design and urban planning, and one of the finest European architectural achievements of the age.

It remains an imposing district, with elegant squares, pedestrianized streets, cafes, and shops. Old tramcars, street performers, tiled Art Deco shopfronts, elaborately decorated pastry shops and street vendors.
