We had the BEST time in this fab house. I loved that there was an arger and a cooker there. it was cosy and warm with great facilities. A GORGEOUS walk to the nearest beach (about 30 mins) through waterfalls and beautiful untouched countryside.
The pub across the road was so cool and we actually ended up there till the early hours of the morning. Food was good too and the owner richard was very friendly.
I highly recommend
Springfield is well equipped and has plenty of accommodation. It's a short stroll to the pub (even in December!), which has lots of good food and music. The kitchen is the hub, with an Aga giving lots of heat, but the dining room and sitting room along with the conservatory give plenty of room to spread out.
We stayed at Springfield House recently with a group of friends, finding it extremely comfortable & spacious, located towards the end of a village which offered lovely views across a rolling landscape.
It is an ideal place for coastal walks or for those just wishing to explore the North Devon and Cornwall areas. For those wishing to eat out, it is but a 5 minute walk to the local pub, where we enjoyed excellent food and drink.
What a very nice house Springfiled House is. A very roomy house, bearing in mind there were eight adults in our party there was plenty of room. A well equipped house with from everything you would want in the kitchen to books and maps and information about the local area. Very comfortable. It was a warm house with the range in the kitchen. Very homely. Certainly a home from home. The house is well placed just a few miles north of Bude and a couple of miles off the main road. There is a pub within a two minute walk (and a very nice pub at that) The house is also well situated for the Coastal Path which is five minutes away...a spectacular part of the North Devon/Cornish coastline. (We walked down to Morwenstow - beautiful) I/we would definitley use the house again. Highly recommended.
Spent a long weekend with three other couples. Excellent cooking facilities to prepare three course dinner, with dining table for ten which was a bonus. Lovely circular walk with pub half way - very welcome. Pub with interesting décor and good food couple hundred yards away. Would thoroughly recommend to family groups or groups of adults.
