The Fishing Lodge is a holiday chalet tucked away in the heart of the woods, perfect for a fishing holiday in Ireland. It faces onto the shores of Lough Mask which is renowned for its wild brown trout fishing and also pike fishing. It is in a very private location with views of the Tourmakeady mountains and of course the lake itself.

This lovely property would suit any out door enthusiast who enjoys long or short strolls through the woody avenues. It is most suitable for those fishermen [or fisher women] who just like to hop out of bed and jump into the boat which is moored right beside the house or go evening fishing after you had enough of the barbecue which is set on the decking. The owners can supply a boat and engine as well as professional boatmen to look after all your needs.

A peaceful haven for a relaxing family holiday!

We spent 5 nights in Michael's lodge - and loved it! The rooms were very spacious, everything was well looked after and Michael and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. Our girls loved swimming in the loch every day, and the rowing boat was an added novelty. Near the cabin we saw deer and red squirrels. Lots of places within driving distance, plenty to see and do. The Irish people were very friendly everywhere we went.

Everything was great

  • 5 of 5

The location towards the end of a secluded country road with a spectacular view of the lake exceeded the pictures. Michael, our host quickly became an Irish buddy. We used Mike as a fishing guide and we had a ball. One night we met with Mike at a no sign locals pub in Ballinrobe "O'Haras" listened to live music and drank a pint or two of Guiness. Great pictures and memories. Mike even offered to look into my Irish ancestors, so I left the information. Hope to come back soon.

Michael was wonderful to work with, and the cottage is a peaceful little get away. We spent some time kayaking on the water, which was beautifully serene. There were wild pheasant on the property as well. We would highly recommend this cottage.

Emplacement extraordinaire !

  • 5 of 5
