My perfect villa holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in my villa's over the years but I have to say this is one of the best. The property was very clean and well maintained and the owners couldn't not have been more helpful,in fact they could not do enough for us. The fish they bought for our BBQ was amazing and we spent most evenings outdoors under that huge olive tree in the BBQ area.

We went to the lovely St Nickolas for lunch a few times which was great and the drives through the mountains to see the ship wreck was amazing as the views were great been so high up.

The turtle beach to the south was another highlight.

Most of all it was the peace and quite at the villa that made it for us.

We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful two week stay at Ann and Antonis' place in the north of Zakynthos. The villa was comfortable and spacious and fit us all in perfectly (we are a family of 5). Our teenage daughter loved having the little flat attached to the rest of the property.

Outside it is very peaceful and there are plenty of spaces to relax in the sun and shade. We spent a lot of our time at the villa as it was so quiet and calm there.

Ann and Antonis could not have been more helpful - Ann shopped for us and Antonis helped us with our luggage as the car we had hired was so tiny. Any little problems we had, they helped us to sort it out straight away. They also recommended good local places for us to eat at.

I absolutely would recommend anyone staying here. The north of the island is very beautiful and quiet and even in peak season it wasn't crowded with tourists.

Relax and get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

The photos do not do this property justice, it is absolutely beautiful with many secluded shady spots to sit and read whilst also having an abundance of sunny areas if you want to worship the sun god.

The owners Ann and Antonios have spent many years gradually landscaping various spaces outside that are so natural and comfortable, with vistas to different spaces within the large and very private and quiet gardens.

The pool was amazing and cleaned every day.

We also enjoyed the use of the table tennis table.

Inside the property is well laid out with a large master bedroom and balconies with views to the sea.

We cannot reccomend this villa highly enough and have stayed in many villas in Greece and other European countries...this was by far the best and is not a rental property as you would expect....it is a home and feels like it, whilst allowing us to feel like it was our home for the two weeks we stayed there.

The north of Zakynthos is where you want to be, unless you want to party every night!!- then go to the south. Locally, all the taverna owners are very welcoming and it does not feel over run by tourists.

We loved our stay and will return one day.

Book this villa right away.

Perfect holiday villa for two families

  • 5 of 5

Villa Sigalia exceeded our expectations, especially it's wonderful rambling garden set within an ancient olive grove, including a beautiful outdoor dining area which we used pretty much every night, serenaded by cicadas! The kids (aged 3-10) would have been happy to spend all their time at the villa, running along the little paths, jumping in and out of the pool... It was an idea layout for two families (nine of us in total), with five in the main house and four in the annex.

Ann and her husband Antonis are perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were full of helpful, practical advice about things to see and do on the island. When we left a bag of clothes in a local restaurant on our last night, Ann even went to get the bag and posted it on to us, which we're incredibly grateful for.

A relaxing family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with 4 adults and 4 children (including a baby) in June 2011 and had a wonderfull time.

The villa

The villa and the attached cottage are as described and very clean.

The garden is beautiful. Various places to sit down, to eat, to relax and to enjoy your stay. The swimmingpool is very clean (cleaned daily) and well maintained.

The hosts

We’ve never had such warm and helpfull hosts as Ann and Adonis. Maybe even more beautiful than the house and garden is the hospitality of these two lovely people. They are helpfully; provided us with local foods and wine and information. You can see that they are proud of their property. And they should be! Their hospitality is a big bonus on your stay.

The island

Because of the location a (hired) car is a must. But it’s also the best way to discover this beautiful island.

Overall: a wonderful place to stay. For people who like peace and quietness, away from the crowd / mass-tourism. The best way to discover (the real) Zakynthos and experience the hospitality of the people from Zakynthos.

Recommended! - Empfohlen! – Aanbevolen!

Marc and family.

What more can you ask for

An outstanding villa holiday.

I've been to Zakynthos on many occasions this villa was by far we have stayed at.

We were met at the airport and guided to the villa by Ann and Atonis and from the moment the villa gates opened we realised what a great villa holiday it would be.

From the grounds to the pool and the villa itself everything was perfect. Ann supplied an excellent welcome pack which kept us going over several days which takes the edge off having to immediately going shopping.

When the weather was too hot, it was great for my youngest to sit inside and watch TV while the rest of us could stay outside.

The pool area and the several eating areas were perfect for relaxing and evening meals with the pool itself being the best we have had.

Ann and Atonis have a beautiful home and have achieved what most of us would consider to be perfection.

Thank you very much.

David
