Jonathan and Marta purchased this lodge in 2012
Over the years we have spent a lot of time in and around McCall with family and friends. From helping build and repair other people's homes/cabins or exploring the numerous trails in the summers, to snowmobiling to back-country hot springs and skiing in the winter, this has been a place we keep finding ourselves drawn to. Purchasing a cabin in McCall made a lot of sense because we like being with family and friends- it's really easy to entice people for a visit when they find out they get to come for a visit in McCall!
We enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. We feel like we're in the deep woods (we're really close actually) but are so close to town, skiing, snowmobiling, the waterfront and so many other activities this is the perfect home base for a weekend (or longer) getaway for us. There's enough room in the cabin that we have found space for all sorts of indoor leisure activities too.
Timber Creek Lodge was the perfect place for a fun, relaxing Christmas vacation. It is a beautiful, clean, well-maintained and well-furnished home with plenty of space for our thirteen family members, ages 16-71. With pool and foosball tables, a gaming system, 2 TVs, a cozy fireplace and a hot tub, it would have been possible to spend our entire vacation at the lodge. However, our active family found the perfect balance between inside and outdoor recreation, with skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding, and tubing nearby. Owners Jonathan and Marta Frost were very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend Timber Creek Lodge and would definitely stay there again.
I was amazed at the quality of the home. There was plenty of room for all 16 of us, plus most of us brought in tables to craft on. The decor is very welcoming and comfortable. The surrounding area had plenty of walking trails. Every last detail was thought of: ice, spices, and nice soaps in the bathrooms. Highly recommended for large groups, just be prepared to fight over the awesome master bedroom and bath!
This "cabin" has everything in terms of accommodations and entertainment. We had 16 people for our reunion with space for more. We really enjoyed the pool table and foosball table along with the spa and the fire pit. The living room and the dining room were able to fit our big group while we ate, laughed, and watched USA dominate in the Olympics. The location between the lake and golfing was ideal for us since our entire group is an active one. Everyone from 15-75 had the best time and we felt spoiled to have 3 generations in the same great place at the same time. Much thanks to the Frosts for making everything easy too. I would highly recommend this property and hope to stay again.
Good location, very spacious. We had a group of 20 ranging in ages from 10 to 85. We all slept in beds and the kitchen is very able to accommodate cooking for so many. The dining room table is awesome. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The street is quiet and good for kids to bike. Overall, a definite repeat if we ever do a reunion of that size.
We have stayed in different rentals around McCall. This was our definite fave! The pictures don't do it justice! It's better than the pics. The beds were cozy, the space was wonderful for 3 families. The kids always had something to do, whether playing outside, in the jacuzzi, foosball table, riding bikes in the neighborhood, or playing on the Wii. It was perfect!
My family met 2 other families for a long weekend reunion at this beautiful home, and we couldn't have been happier! It is even more fantastic in person than it looked in the photos. The home was spotless when we arrived. It had everything we needed, with room to spare. We enjoyed the foosball and pool tables, the hot tub, and it was a nice touch to have the video games onsite for the kids. It gave them something to do while we packed up (and distracted them from how sad they were to leave). The kitchen was FABULOUS. One friend (our resident amateur chef) was in heaven. He wished he'd known how great it was in advance -- he would have just planned to stay at the house and cook all day. John and Marta have a fantastic home and made everything run smoothly. I'm still getting accolades for finding this place. :) Thank you!
Brundage Ski Hill is a short trip away and offers the very best snow you'll experience on an uncrowded hill. The Activity Barn is a great place to take the kids to go snow tubing. Enjoy the Farmer's Market on the weekend and stroll through town to see an eclectic variety of shops and historical sites. Enjoy some ice cream when you need to cool down at the very popular and nearly hidden Ice Cream Alley (it lives up to it's name). The McCall Winter Carnival is a must see. If you enjoy exploring, Burgdorf Hot Springs is a beautiful trip that allows passerby's to soak in their amazing pool year round. The McCall Municipal Golf Course is one of the nicest public courses you will find. It won't be hard to enjoy McCall and the surrounding area!
