The City: VisitBrighton is the official Brighton tourism information guide for the city of Brighton and Hove. England’s loveliest and liveliest city by the sea. Brighton and Hove is fun, cosmopolitan and uniquely eccentric all year round. Regency architecture, pleasure pier, specialist shops, pavement cafés, lively arts scene and vibrant nightlife everything’s in walking distance, so take time to explore and enjoy. And with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs and traditional English countryside, Brighton and Hove is a great base for exploring the region. Brighton is one of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. Cosmopolitan, compact, energetic, unique, fun, lively, historic, young, exotic and free-spirited, it's a city like no other. Nestling between the South Downs & the sea on the stunning south coast, Brighton offers everything from Regency heritage to beachfront cool. A fantastic mix of iconic attractions, famed nightlife, award winning restaurants, funky arts.

Gay Brighton: Brighton has a thriving and diverse gay scene which ranges from leather bars, to country and western line dancing, to techno clubs. Brighton has long been known as the number one gay seaside resort in the south of England. As well as the usual tourists and visitors Brighton also acts as a magnet for lesbians and gay men from all over the UK and abroad who are attracted by its bohemian atmosphere, easy going attitude and raffish air. This has led to one of the largest populations of lesbians and gay men in the UK. Much of the Brighton gay scene is concentrated in the Kemptown area of Brighton, the focal point being St James's Street and the Old Steine. It's here you'll find most of the clubs, shops and bars mentioned in the guide, so many in fact that Kemptown has become known as Brighton's Gay Village.

The perfect location for your Brighton Weekend break.

Great house

  • 5 of 5

House is lovelly lots of room, lots of keys, close to the beach but a bit of a walk to main area still walking distance though, would be helpful if there was an extra tv in the kitchen or a bedroom and a fag bucket would be helpful on the table or floor rather than the wall but other than that all perfect

Owner's Response: Thank all for the great review delighted you enjoyed your stay. As the house is none smoking. The bins have to go on the walls outside to keep the garden clear for none smokers. We have 3 on the walls so u don't have to go far to find one. Hope this didn't detract from your fun Pam

A great house for a group

  • 5 of 5

We were a hen party of 11 ladies, 1 man and a baby! This house suited our needs perfectly. Pam, the owner, was very helpful and informative with all of our questions prior to our stay. I think other reviews have said the same but this property does not look as impressive as it is from the outside. This is deceptive though and the house is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The kitchen has a lovely big, square table. The living room is on the first floor with two of the bedroom (one with the bunk beds and another double). The living space is big and comfortable. There are also two sofa chairs although we didn't need to use these. On the second floor there are 3 double rooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom was lovely and perfect for the hen and her mum. There was also a travel cot provided which was helpful.

I would highly recommend this house. Everyone remarked on how perfect it was - it really added to a lovely weekend.

Fantastic house for friends!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for the weekend for a hen party and the house was absolutely fantastic! All the rooms are great, a fab big kitchen table for everyone to eat at and a lovely large lounge to socialise in. Really close to town and space to park cars nearby. The owner was really helpful asking any questions we had before hand. Would recommend to anybody!

Well situated spacious apartment.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was perfect for a group of ten ladies from Iceland. Well situated and plenty of space. Easy to book and pay, and Pam provided really good service and kindly responded to our wishes. We can highly recommend two restaurants in Brighton (in 15 - 20 min walking distance) , the pizza restaurant VIP and and Indian Summer. Then we had a great time in the studio Flash Back Old Time Photos at the Pier.
