Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday cabin in Anahola

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 1-2)

Mahinani's Farm offers a unique experience for visitors to stay in a peaceful location tucked directly between the mountains and the ocean.

Our Cabin is surrounded by soft rolling hills, giant royal palms, pines, coconut trees, flowers & tropical fruits in their seasons. Perfect for out-doorsy type guests wanting to spend quality time on beautiful grounds away from paved parking lots, elevators & the public.

Our farm sits up on a bluff, close enough to the ocean to hear it and walk to it. Yet, in the case of a tsunami warning there is no need to evacuate as we are not in the evacuation zone. The walk to the beach is very enjoyable. Its down a shady little road that takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on the pace.

Located in the East for the perfect base to explore both sides of the island from.

The cabin has Wi-Fi reception.

As members of Hawaii Agri-Tourism we are pleased to extend a warm invitation to come stay with us and enjoy the beauty of our farm in Anahola, Kauai.

The cabin was absolutely perfect. It is in a very quiet area yet close to the main road to access this wonderful island.

The outdoor shower was fantastic and the little kitchen had everything that we needed. We loved sitting on the patio in the oh so comfy chairs to eat and watch the geckos.

There is a cool box with ice pack, boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels and beach chairs which all came in very handy.

I have no hesitation in recommending this property, it is fabulous.

Charming private cabin

This cabin is a wonderful little jewel in Anahola. Very private. Beautiful surroundings and scenery. Diane is a great host, and she allows guests their space, while still being very friendly. Coconut is a great dog, and my wife and I enjoyed his visits.

Charming Anahola Cabin

  • 5 of 5

A number of years ago my wife and I visited Kauai on business. My wife attended a conference and we were obliged to stay in the resort where the conference was held. This did not prevent us from exploring the island and marvel at the scenic wonder of lush green hills and blue water. On the occasion of our visit to the property in question we came not for business but to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary and we chose to come back to Kauai. I can only thank past experience with VRBO for finding what turned out to be in fact a charming Anahola cabin for our stay. The unique quality provided by the setting of the property cannot be over emphasized. Anaholas history surrounds you there and the landscape including the property immediately around the cabin brings you into a state of peace and serenity bordering on bliss. It would be hard to imagine finding this feeling at a resort. So glad for the experience. I'm not sure if we will ever have the chance of returning to the island but if so I know where I will spending my nights at the Charming Anahola Cabin. Ian

Calm relaxing hidaway

  • 5 of 5

I was immediately in love with this charming little cabin. I joined my sister who had already been there for two weeks. We spent another week there and each day was full of peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts. Diane was a most gracious hostess and saw to our every need. The cabin is secluded and yet it takes only a few minutes drive time to beautiful Anahola Beach. We drove all over the island to see the sights. But at the end of the day it seemed like a little piece of Heaven returning to that quaint little cabin with that marvelous outdoor shower!

I highly recommend this this wonderful little cabin for your stay on Kauai.

Peaceful surroundings and centrally located to any activity. Lovely beach a short distance away. Our host, Diana Mahi was quite accommodating and friendly. I would recommend to to a couple or a single wanting a peaceful environment to enjoy the beauty of Kauai from or needing a place to get just get away from a hectic world. Loved the outdoor shower.

Sweet Escape

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came to Kauai for a week in February and are so glad we chose to stay here! It's off the beaten path, but still convenient to all the destinations we enjoyed all over the island. We are generally not big resort types and after spending a day down in Poipu and later driving through Princeville, were reminded how nice it was to be away from all of the tourist hustle and bustle.

The views of the mountain from Diana's property are incredible and the lush surroundings add to the experience of being in a true paradise. We loved the outdoor shower (complete with chirping geckos at night!) and found all the amenities we needed and more (beach chairs, snorkel gear, washing machine, a well-equipped kitchen, etc). We even enjoyed the DVD collection a bit on a rainy winter night (which, by the way, was the most pleasant rainy winter night I can imagine! Still warm enough to keep the windows open and listen to the soft rush of wind and rain in the palms).

Just a couple tips to make your stay even more enjoyable:

- The puppy on the property, Coconut, is a total sweetheart, but do heed Diana's warning to keep him off the porch..he won't hesitate steal your shoes (as puppies do!). Luckily I got mine back with only minimal chew marks, thanks to Diana's prompt reply when I alerted her!

- If you are a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs. Kauai's feral roosters are no joke!

Also, definitely check out the burger place and the juice hale down the road. The general store has some great poke that you don't want to miss!

We had such a lovely stay and are already trying to figure out when we can come back and stay again. I absolutely recommend this property to any nature lover who is looking for a serene retreat away from the crowds!
