Property type cottage

About the property

1 Bedroom Guest House On Riverfront Property, A Short Walk To The Rogue!

Cute cozy one bedroom cottage/guest house- Sleeps 1-4, technically has two sleeping 'rooms' that are separate even though it's only one bedroom.

Nestled among trees and wildlife on a 3 acre property tucked away off of a private road. The gorgeous Rogue River is a 3 minute walk from the cottage via stairs and a path through the meadow. Note, meadow ground may be uneven. (FYI cottage has a view of the lower meadow.) Enjoy the abundant wildlife such as deer, foxes, blue herons, eagles, and hawks. Enjoy the wind through the trees and the sound of frogs and crickets at night. You might even hear the coyotes talking to each other at night. Fantastic view of the lower pasture from the back patio, where you can watch our family of deer hanging out! Very peaceful. Lots of hiking and fishing opportunities. In the country but right in Grants Pass too.

SORRY NO PETS, SMOKERS or smoking or DRUGS allowed ANYWHERE on the property. We don't allow anyone who smokes to stay at the cottage, due to severe reaction to smoke and residual smoke smell. IF YOU SMOKE DO NOT BOOK THE COTTAGE. No burning of candles, incense or anything else. This includes outside! This includes No smoking outside or down by the river.

No pets anywhere. No letting Uncle Henry stop by with his dog and letting it run around. Thanks for respecting our rules. Violation of this rule may result in forfeiture of full deposit.

Your arrival will find you in a cozy but roomy one bedroom inviting cottage-style guest house. The bedroom is spacious and can be closed off from the main living area for privacy. (Two sleeping areas). We have a washer dryer and really good WIFI too!

Nearby parks include Schroeder County Park with a boat ramp, Tussing Park and All Sports Park connect by the pedestrian bridge over the Rogue, and Riverside Park in town. Cathedral Hills Park is great for hiking, as is the Limpy Creek Interpretive trail and Waters Creek. Nearby Medford has the spectacular Table Rock hikes.

Go for a ride on the Hellgate Jet Boat tours! Running daily May through September.

Visit Wildlife Images, a fabulous Rehabilitation and Education Center. We also have many birds of prey including bald eagles and golden eagles. Wolves, bears and bobcats are awaiting your visit.

Visit downtown Grants Pass to peruse the local antique shops and our historical G Street with its many restaurants.

Come see us soon! No extra charge for holidays or weekends. WE TAKE LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS. We accept night bookings except for a couple of major holidays.

Owner lives on-site in main house next to cottage.

Note: By law the area along the river is public. You may see my neighbors swimming and playing by the river, rafters or a fisherman or two.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came to Nancy's beautiful cottage for our honeymoon. Our first night here we took a long walk down by the river, it was beautiful. We saw a deer and discovered the tree out back is full of life! On day two we drove to the coast, it was well worth it! On day three we went to see the Oregon Caves. They have a wonderful hour long hike that took you down by the waterfalls. On day 4 we went shopping in all the nearby towns. On day 5 we were so sad to leave but we know we will be back!

Home away from home

Our group was here on business to survey a nearby plant population, and we found this place on This was a very comfortable and cute cottage that included everything we could ever need! The cottage has extras needed that could be easily forgotten such as condiments in the refrigerator, games, movies, body soap in the bathroom, and laundry soap. Nancy was extremely accommodating and allowed a person in our group to camp in the back yard. The interior is decorated very cute, and we enjoyed a movie at the end of our work day here. I would highly recommend this place!

Nice place for quiet family gateway....

  • 4 of 5

We had lovely stay! Cottage is cute, clean, well equiped and sourounded by mature shade trees. Nancy is very accommodating and friendly. The back patio has an amzing view to a green meadow, framed by majestic trees. Deer come to drink from the irrigation canal every morning, so get your coffee, sit for a while, watch and relax. It’s a great home base for fishing enthusiasts, who are willing to drive to a multiple lakes within 1hour drive from Grants Pass. If you are a hiker and are looking for trails at your treashold, this is not your destination. There are no trails or sidewalks nearby, except a short path from the back patio to a couple of small river accesses. I would descibe this area as a suburban residential neighborhood. You won’t be able to hike along the river bank, all accesses are private, fenced and signed ‘No Trespassing’. We drove to a different lake everyday, took an exhilarating Hellgate 2hr speedboat cruise, rented a fishing boat on the Lost Creek Lake and made some ornaments at the Glass Forge. Overall it was very successful trip! Thank you:)

Great for a staying on vacation, fishing not so much...

  • 4 of 5

I absolutely enjoyed being here. Nancy literally means she has everything. I brought pots and pans etc. Didn't need to use them once. Its quiet neighborhood. NO one bothered me. Came here to fish the Rouge River. Keep in mind am pretty intermediate fisherman. But the Hellgate Excursion boats made it unbearable to fish, That i packed up and drove to Griffin Park about 20 min. Low and behold the boats came there as well. Oh well like anything experiences on a trip locals know best fishing spot and don't tend to share that info too often. All about trail and error. ( Also heard from State Trooper checking fishing license, the chinook don't tend to bite to often this time of year. Just swimming by) I digress the cabin was everything Nancy said it was. Directions were spot on if you really pay attention, I didn't ha ha but reread and found it no problem. Plan to visit again. One other con is no pets allowed. I planned to bring my two dogs but reread reservation again an no pets were allowed. So had to make some last minute arrangements for family to watch my dogs. But i do understand why they don't allow pets. Some love to chew etc.

A lovely place

  • 5 of 5

The owner is a great communicator and her directions were spot on. The place is in a very quiet area full of wildlife and It was a very short walk to the river from the back door.

The cabin is well stocked with everything you need including a large collection of movies.

We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
