Domaine Campistron is a former vintners farm, a 'Maison des Vignerons', and is situated in the middle of the vineyards of the Corbières between Narbonne and Carcassonne. The apartment has two terraces: one smaller before the entrance and one very large terrace at the back. The views from the terraces are simply unique. Situated between the villages Saint Laurent de la Cabrerisse, Villerouge de la Crémade and Thézan des Corbières, Domaine Campistron is an ideal location to explore the Corbières with its Cathar castles as well as the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean sea. The medieval Cité of Carcassonne is only 40 km away. The same goes for the sandy beaches of Narbonne Plage or Leucate. Back at Domaine Campistron, you can retreat from the busy beaches and the hustle and bustle of Carcassonne and enjoy the stunning sunsets from the terrace sampling some of the local wines.

The surroundings: Of the many things to do and visit, these are a few of the highlight: the Corbières and its vinyards; the Cathar Castles; Carcassonne and the world famous Cité; the coastal area with its beaches and lagoons; the Minervois and the lovely little village of Minerve; the Canal du Midi.
Dining & Wining: Surrounded by the vineyards of the Corbières, a wide selection of local wines is waiting to be sampled. The wines of the Corbières are wines of character. A bit further away are the wine areas of the Minervois in the North and Fitou to the South. A number of other AOC areas are not far either. An excellent local sparkling wine is known as Blanquette de Limoux. Being not far from the Mediterranean, seafood is readily available. Visit the oyster-growers port in Leucate to taste oysters, mussels and clams as fresh as you can get. The area around Carcassonne is known for its cassoulet, a hearty dish of white beans with sausage and Duck confit. The local markets as well as the supermarkets are full of fresh local produce. A visit to the Halles in Narbonne with its many food stalls is always worth while.
