De week was te snel voorbij

Als groot gezin van 10 kwamen wij niets te kort in dit magnifieke huis. We genoten met volle teugen van de grote overdekte eettafel buiten, waar wij iedere avond vertoefden.

Ook het zwembad zorgde voor de nodige afkoeling en was voorzien van voldoende ligstoelen, een gezellige zithoek én een aparte bibliotheek met comfortabele zeteltjes.

Aan gezellige zithoekjes zeker geen gebrek.

De gastvrije eigenaar van het huis voorzag ons van alle informatie en kwam midden in de week het zwembad onderhouden en de handdoeken verschonen. Erg attent en behulpzaam, met respect voor onze privacy.

Het dorp Robion beschikte over alles wat we wilden: een goede Franse bakkerij, toegang tot verschillende wandelroutes en een schitterend uitzicht op de bergen.

Een supermarkt was bereikbaar binnen de 5 minuten rijden.

Kortom, een super ontspannende week beleefd met heel het gezin en genoten van al het goede dat de Provence te bieden heeft. Wij komen met plezier nog eens terug!

Ferme St-Roch: bonheur et charme garantis

Tout d'abord, le professionnalisme est déjà marqué dès le premier contact, lors des formalités en vue d'une réservation. M. Jary est extrêmement compétent et efficace.

Ensuite, la Ferme St-Roch est absolument magnifique avec un charme incroyable. Sur place, tout y est pour passer un excellent séjour et les infrastructures sont excellentes (piscine, bbq, appareils divers) avec en plus des extras plus qu'appréciables (livres de qualité, vélos, jouets pour piscine/enfants, chaise haute, baignoire/lit bébé, etc.).

Par ailleurs, j'ai particulièrement apprécié la propreté des lieux et la considération marquée du propriétaire envers ses hôtes. Cela est remarquable, ce d'autant plus lorsque l'on sait le grand succès que rencontre cette demeure. A aucun moment j'ai eu l'impression d'être un numéro, bien au contraire. Chapeau au propriétaire.

Au final, que du positif, je ne peux que vous recommander d'y aller les yeux fermés... Si vous avez la chance d'obtenir une place! ;-)

A thoroughly enjoyable two week sejour in Robion

The photos of St Roch looked so magnificent, we decided it warranted a two week stay, instead of one - and we are grateful we did. Sebastian was a warm and welcoming host, ensuring we were not left needing anything. He met us the day we arrived to help us find our way, texting us from time to time (providing tips where the best lavender fields were to be found and which markets were on). The house is extremely well appointed, particularly the kitchen, with everything you need to live in. We were a group of 10, ranging from seniors to children and everyone had plenty of room. The pool was welcoming and cleaned every day. We enjoyed the bikes, billiard table, library and many nights dining in the outdoor barbecue area. The home is tranquil, only a short walk to all amenities in the little town of Robion. It is also perfectly located within the 'golden triangle' of the Luberon to explore the beautiful surrounding villages and the countryside. It would be easy to stay here for 6 months and keep discovering! To anyone looking to book this house - don't hesitate - what you see in the photos is what you get: great house, host, location and quality. Thank you so much Sebastian and family for a lovely experience.

Einfach genial

Das Haus ist einfach genial. Alles sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für 10 Personen ausreichend Platz. Und es gibt zahlreiche behagliche Sitzmöglichkeiten im Haus und Garten. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet und groß genug, um gemeinsam zu kochen. Das Wohnzimmer mit großzügigem Kamin lädt dazu ein, bei etwas kälteren Temperaturen gemütlich zusammen zu sitzen. Der beheizte Pool ist sehr gepflegt und das kleine Pool-Haus mit Bibliothek sehr ansprechend. Vom Vermieter wurden wir herzlich empfangen und betreut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen.

Världens finaste hus

Vi tillbringade en underbar vecka i detta fina hus. Huset är mysigt, har alla bekvämligheter man kan önska sig och är rymligt. Det ligger i fantastiska omgivningar med flera utflyktsmål i närheten. Poolen var varm och skön med 27 grader! Vi stortrivdes och blev mycket väl omhändertagna av trevlige husvärden Sebastian.

Perfect stay for our cycling holiday

The photos and description undersold this fabulous house. It is larger than we expected, with different levels to rooms that meant it took a while to learn our way round. There are two standout bedrooms with lots of space and well equipped bathrooms ensuite, that make you feel quite spoilt. Downstairs there was everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed using the BBQ and spent our evenings eating and sitting outside at the long table. The house is clean and beautifully presented - it's more than a holiday home as there are plenty of pictures and objects to give it a personal touch. We had a problem with the fridge on the first day. With a quick text, Sebastian was with us and measuring up for the new part. He is lovely - he comes to do the pool in the morning (when guests are asleep) and we saw him at Saturday/Tuesday cleans when he comes with the cleaners. Deposit was fully returned with no quibbles, despite the fridge problem. As a mix of keen and irregular cyclists, this house was positioned just right. We drove to Ventoux - some cycled too - and did many more local routes. The totally flat cycle route from Robion (just over the canal) to, eventually, Apt was a boon. It meant everyone could cycle safely as it takes the path of an old rail line. There are plenty of challenging and picturesque routes from here. There are a couple of ok restaurants in Robion, and we liked the bar (turn left from the house towards the old town) where the locals gather after work. Nearly forgot to mention the pool - large enough to swim properly in. Sebastian put the heating on in the pool when the temperature dipped in the second week, although we didn't really need it. Robion is a few steps away for bread, basics from the mini supermarket. Larger supermarkets are a short drive. All in all, a perfect holiday destination for us and we hope very much to return.

St Roch is ideally located at the gates of Luberon National Park in the quaint village of Robion, just 12 miles away from Avignon ’s historical town and theater festival, 30 miles from stylish Aix en Provence, Cezanne’s hometown, and one hour away from Marseille. It is a perfect base for discover ing the stunning medieval villages of the region and some of the famous “postcard” sceneries of Provence . Within a radius of 6 miles, you will find l’Isle sur la Sorgue with its antiques market, Gordes and its traditional stone houses, Roussillon with its remarkable earthtones, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Menerbes and Lourmarin. And since it is entirely acceptable to be a bit lazy when on holiday, you won’t have to walk more than 300 yards to reach all village shops (bakery, grocery, butcher, pharmacy, 2 restaurants, and the tourist office).
