2 bedroom apartment for 4 people along the promenade in Alicante

Located in the historic city rehabilitated. Next to the Town Hall Square, museums, restaurants, bars, etc.. First displayed the beautiful castle of Alicante. The famous promenade of The Esplanade and the beach of Alicante 'The Postiguet' are less than 100m. Also very close to the marina. All services are easily accessible. It is ideal for enjoying the city and the beach without having to use car because you can walk to the most prominent landmarks. It is also the typical scene of numerous local festivals. It's in the fourth floor of a 5-storey building, of course has an elevator. It has a living room, two bedrooms (one double bed), bathroom and separate kitchen. The fully renovated in 2008. You sound insulation on the balconies, and air conditioning, electric heating and flat screen TV. It also has internet.

Surroundings of the apartment: It corresponds to the oldest part of the city, surrounding the castle of Alicante. Most of the pedestrian streets with many historic buildings, several museums, restaurants and bars, there are some lovely squares. The area is fully restored, making it a clean area with little vehicle traffic, however, there are some streets where you can park relatively close to the apartment, but parking in the same street as the apartment has a time limitation. When you cross a street, is the beach town, well cared for and monitored, although at some times of summer can be a little overcrowded. At that same point begins the promenade of 'The Esplanade' which is the most prominent landmark of the city and a meeting place for all visitors, with markets, terraces and chat rooms.

The apartment: It is located in a 5-storey building, about 60 years old. It has a wide doorway with a lift. The apartment is simple but functional and well equipped. Despite being in a lively area of the city is quiet because it is in a 4th floor and has glass insulators. It is relatively light, although it is facing north, being a high floor and not have buildings casting shadows across it. In addition, Alicante is a very bright and warm, so the guidelines are more favorable north in the warmer months of the year.

Comfortable apartment in old town Alicante. Three minute walk to beach and close to lots of eating places. Owner very helpful. Would stay again.

Nice but....

Lovely apartment and fab location but we had problems... The double bed broke- so we we had to sleep on the twin beds in the second bedroom for 12 of 13 nights, even though the owner was informed. The washing machine leaked so this could not be used either. Luckily I was there so could mop up as the water gushed through the washing machine door so there was no damage to the floor or the apartment below. This was a real inconvenience as we could not do any washing for the entire stay. To cap it off the apartment was broken into late one night and we were robbed. As there were no signs of a break-in we assume someone used a key. Luckily we were out and important documents not stolen. Owner, who lives away was sympathetic but... So while we really enjoyed having a furnished and comfortable apartment which was so close to the beach I don't think we'd stay there again.

Owner's Response: Stephen, I understand your frustration with the problems of the apartment and I deeply regret it. Despite the problems encountered've been a sympathetic host. We have taken good note and we have already solved all the problems. We have changed the double bed with a new one. We changed the lock and door keys. We fixed the washing machine. We have also large mirrors in various parts of the house. I hope you trust us again if you go back again to Alicante.

re-vitalising

very clean comfortable and relaxing. Although our Spanish is non-existent Maria and Carlos managed to explain things for us. It was very quiet and so nice to pop down to the little shop for fresh bread every morning.

The apartment was well stocked with utensils and crockery.

It is situated in such an ideal position for the beach and esplanade in the day and for restaurants in the evening

It had all that was needed for a 2 week stay and we wish we were still there!!

Super Lage für einen Urlaub in Alicante

Die Wohnung ist ideal für Urlauber, die nahe am Strand, Hafen, Explanada sein wollen: schon vor dem Frühstück oder noch schnell vor dem Schlafen an den Strand gehen zu können, ist einfach klasse! Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und zu Maria war gut und sehr korrekt - Danke!!!

Leider gibt es Nächte, in denen es laut sein kann (am Wochenende: Jugendliche auf der Straße oder auch durch den Aufzug).

Insgesamt ist die Wohnung vor allem auch durch ihre gute Lage weiter zu empfehlen.

Golf: In Alicante there are numerous golf courses nearby, but mostly there are two fields, 'Golf El Plantío' and 'Alicante Golf', which are 5 minutes from the city. 'Alicante Golf' has been designed by Severiano Ballesteros and a spectacular par 72, under the peculiar distribution of 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5; unique design in the Iberian Peninsula and whose success lies in not allowing golfers to play no two consecutive holes with the same pair, an option that makes much more varied and fun game that encourages both Birdie many options.

Notes:
The floors are tile, since Alicante is usually a very hot city, also has air conditioning in the lounge and bedrooms. You can look out the windows, although there is space for chairs or loungers. They have double glazing to isolate the noise and heat / cold. There is a small distributor to the entrance hall of the apartment. There is a large cupboard in the lounge and one of the bedrooms where you can store luggage and other items.
