Fully equipped 1 bedroom apartment with views of the Cathedral and terrace in the the center of the old city. Only 100m from from the Cathedral and 20 minutes walk from the Alhambra. The apartment is suitable for 2 people but can sleep 4. Has an open living room-kitchen which is fully equipped and luxury bathroom. Excellent location near the open market, from where you can go on foot to every place of the city. The terrace is perfect for alfresco dining.
There are two Hamman nearby the apartment. Don't forget to visit the bars in Calle Navas, Plaza Nueva, Calle Elvira and the Albayzin, the charming old Moorish quarter of Granada, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
One of the best point of the apartment is its location.
My husband and I stayed in this Granada apartment for 3 nights in May 2016.
It is a lovely, light-filled 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor in central Granada and with the huge advantage of having a lift.
The apartment is very comfortable for holiday stays especially given it has a spacious roof terrace and is in a great location for exploring Granada: we would eat our breakfast and some dinners out on the terrace.
Jesus was very professional in all dealings with the booking, payment and arrival process which was a great comfort. He also alerted me to the need for booking the Alhambra well in advance which was a very useful tip. I would strongly recommend making this Alhambra visit and book a guided tour with at least 6 weeks notice if possible.
The kitchen was a decent size and the laundry facilities were great with clothes drying quickly on the balcony clothes line which was a huge bonus. Also, the bathroom was a good size with a lovely large shower.
The huge bonus here though was the lovely amount of light that flowed into the apartment and it's great location. The apartment is right beside the Cathedral and near lots of lovely little Plazas each with great cafes, markets, restaurants and shops and, although you only needed to step just out the door to reach all of these, the apartment was very quiet at night for sleeping thereby offering the best of both worlds!
My husband and I did a few of guided walking tours whilst in Granada and I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area: an Alhambra visit, a general Granada walking tour and a Flamenco visit. We took the audio-guide option for Cathedral and did this ourselves which I think is sufficient.
We absolutely loved Granada and would stay at this great value apartment again if we were ever lucky enough to return.
The only reason for not giving this apartment a 5 star rating is that there isn't a dishwasher and there were mixed offerings of plates and glasses but no typical wine glasses. These are minor things though and wouldn't stop me from staying here again.
This charming flat is at the very center of town - just a short walk to the cathedral and several plazas with restaurants and shopping. The apartment is very comfortable, well-stocked with everything you need, well-maintained, and has faultless WiFi. It's on the top floor in a very quiet building with an elevator. Jesus met us at the front door, showed us where everything was, and even brought us a bottle of wine. Since it was January, we didn't spend a lot of time on the terrace, but it was large and had great views. Our only quibble is that the apartment could have used a more thorough cleaning before we arrived. We would have no reservations in recommending it to our friends and family.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks - over from Canada - and found the accommodations to be fitting all we needed during our stay in Granada. The apartment is close to lots of restaurants and shopping venues, a 5 minute walk to the San Augustin supermarcado, 20 minute walk to Alhambra.
The incredible terrace view of the Cathedral of Granada put it over the top for us.
It's on a quiet street, away from the hustle and bustle of bars, but within stones throw away to some of the most amazing tapa restaurants.
There are 3 amazing plazas very close to help those who love to people watch with a glass of wine.
We loved the location. Jesus was amazing with any questions we had, assisting in getting us into town correctly and we would welcome the chance to come back and stay here.
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful VRBO apartment.
- perfect location, especially for people who enjoy walking as a way to explore this beautiful city
- clean and well appointed apartment will all the necessary amenities (kitchen, laundry, etc) for a comfortable and self-sufficient stay
- LOTS of options within 5-10 min walking distance for dining out, grocery and other shopping
- bus-stop for the bus to the airport was 6-7 min walk away on Gran Via ; taxi fare from the bus-station was <7 Euros
- Jesus met us on arrival and gave us a comprehensive tour of the apartment and answered questions about planning our tour. His tips for obtaining the tickets to Alhambra and Flamenco show were very helpful.
- nice terrace, but we didn't make use of it since it was quite cool in the mornings.
CONS (very minor):
- no trash bin in the kitchen
- shower drain partially clogged
We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The flat itself is lovely and plenty big enough for 3 adults, it's in a fabulous position, very central near good nightlife but also
very quiet and calm. Jesus was very kind and it was nice to have someone there we could ask for help whenever we needed it. The wifi connection is a bit patchy but a quick text
to Jesus gave us all the information we needed. All in all we had an amazing experience,
and my advice for people reading this review is , don't delay , book today!!
P.S. Don't miss the little shop selling freshly fried fish just round the corner from the flamenco shop! It's cheap and delicious!
Beautiful apartment; really nice terrace; great location; gracious host with good restaurant/bar recommendations. The apartment has everything you need for a visit to Granada. We walked everywhere from there; central location but quiet street; everything you need in the kitchen but we ate out pretty much all of the time. We highly recommend this apartment and would love to return for a longer stay. On the practical side -- the elevator is great for moving luggage up; strong wifi; has AC but didn't need it in early October.
Location is perfect for shopping and to go out for 'tapas'. Tapas is food they serve with your drinks and it is completely free. It is a 5 minute walk from the nearest bus stop and from the main historical buildings (La Catedral, La Capilla Real, La Madraza, La Alhambra, Hospital/Iglesia de San Juan de Dios, Monasterio de San Jerónimo etc.) La Alpujarra is a area of villages 60km away Granada, made famous by books such as 'South from Granada' (Gerald Brenan) or recently 'Driving over Lemons'.
