The apartment is on the first floor and is located in the heart of old town El Cotillo. A short walk will bring you to the new harbour including shops, cosy restaurants and bars, not forgetting the old harbour either. The beach is a great surfing location, or for those of you that prefer a more scenic view, the magnificent lagoons of El Cotillo. The apartment is fully furnished with an open plan kitchen and living room. A shared roof space is sure to provide you with excellent sea views and a perfect opportunity to relax in the sun. This lovely little village with its main historic roots in fishing will give you some great photographs and discovery walks. Between the beautiful beaches and the ancient village I'm sure you'll be delighted. A Local contact will greet you at El Cotillo and guide you to your apartment. Airport collection can be arranged for an extra fee (less than the cost of a taxi).
Free Wi-Fi available.
Hi Graham, just a quick note to thank you very much for great accommodation at el cotillo. your apartment casa bella was everything we wanted and we were nicely surprised when we were shown in by Fadi, who was great too. we quizzed him all the way from the airport about local shops ,bars and the island in general.we will keep your email address and look forward to booking agin next year...thanks again.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. The apartment facilities and position are perfect for all our holiday requirements. Cotillo old town is everything we needed for a lazy break, especially the numerous good restaurants. And the white sand beach lagoons are beautiful, a nice 30 minute walk away (saved us from getting too lazy). We suppose we must tell everyone about it - but we want to make sure we can get in next year.
Perfect position in the Old Town; overlooking the Bolas court for local colour in the evenings, and handy to get to the Old and New harbours. A short walk gets you to all sorts of eateries; just up the road is La Cantina de Fragiel, which sometimes has local singers/musicians playing traditional Canarian music...a great night out, with nice food and good prices on drinks.
The apartment is well equipped for you to cater for yourself, and any problems can be quickly ironed out with Jacqulyn looking after things. Small block with locals, and a great roof terrace for afternoon and evening sun with a view right across to the Faro (lighthouse). Clean, well looked after and laid out.
Comfortable, quiet, friendly...El Cotillo and this apartment in a nutshell. When we come back it will be to this one...absolutely ideal. we've been a few times and this has to be the most suitable for us in all our visits.
For anyone looking at coming to Fuerte for the first time...these are the best beaches you'll find for sunbathing, swimming, surfing etc and this is probably the nicest town and apartment for you to come to.
Try El Goloso for great cakes and coffee, try the leche y leche - you won't regret it. plenty of good places to eat - Azzurro on the beach; Casa Rustica; Acorrolado for a good tapas/wine deal just round the corner....
We were thrilled with the apartment in El Cotillo - close enough to walk to the supermarket, to many restaurants and to the sea front. It was nice and clean and well equipped with the softest Spanish beds we have ever slept in. I particularly liked the fact that tea towels, dishwashing liquid and a hair dryer was provided, and that there was free parking. And we enjoyed being part of the community rather than in a resort. Fortunately we had bought a candle, and that came in handy when the electricity went off one day from 11am to 8pm. That I believe, though, is an unusual occurrence. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment.
We've been to FUE many times (30+) and stayed also several times at Casabella. It's surely our favourite and we would like to highly recommend it for those who prefer a quiet, fully functional and affordable apartment. If you chose Fuerte for holidays, you will spend most of the time outdoors anyway - or sleep! Very clean and tidy, Graham frequently invests to increase or at least keep the quality level. And if any issues occur, Jaqlynn will instantly solve it.
"Four stars" only because there is always room for improvement - and 4.5 could not be selected. ;)
If it's about value for money, we'd definetely vote it a "ten+ out of ten".
We'll be back for sure.

The apartment was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax. It was bright an airy and had an outdoor space for drying clothes. Would Definitely recommend.
To the south lies the Playa del Castillo, 2 kms long and popular for water activities such as, surfing, kite-surfing, wind-surfing etc. If you carry on south you will find the secluded beaches of Playa del Ajibe and Playa del Aguila. If however you do not enjoy such activities, a pleasant walk to the north of the village will bring you to the famous lagoon beaches, these are both idea and safe for swimming. As previously mentioned, El Cotillo has it's main roots in fishing, the village still continues to fish which means there is always the freshest supply of fish available. This cosy village will provide you with a lot to see and do.
