Each room at Solaria II has it's own special view, whether it's one of the front rooms with their views of the Caribbean Sea or one of the back rooms with their stunning views of the sun setting over the lagoons there will be a treat for your eyes.

The substantial 5000 square foot property comprises of an expansive Sunrise Master Suite with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Morning coffee on the porch will never be the same... The views from the large Sunset Master Suite with panoramic views of the lagoon and mangroves are stunning. If you were hoping for privacy you better close the bedroom door to make sure the rest of your group aren't parking themselves on your balcony every evening... Don't forget your bino's if you're a birdwatcher... Even the two guest suites have their own balcony with a sunset view they may be small but the same level of detail was put into the guest rooms and the bathrooms match the luxury of the masters. Every suite has it's own flat screen (just in case you get tired of the views).

Bedding configuration - 2 Split King (each splits to two twins), 1 King, 1 Queen.

In front of Solaria II you'll find a gorgeous swimming pool where you can cool off and relax with a glass of wine in the evening or get in your morning laps. The villa is surrounded by tropical gardens and white sands.

Ready to get out and explore? Solaria II has its own kayaks (with lifejackets) for your use along with bikes. While there are only a few bikes available your concierge can be contacted via the provided cell phone to deliver more. In the tropics, rainy days are just another excuse to get outside and have fun but, if you must, there's a Blu-Ray Player with a library of movies.

It's a connected world these days and many of us need to stay connected no matter where we are. Solaria II has broadband WiFi and office space.

Concierge services are available before and during your stay to make arrangements for private chefs, provisioning, spa treatments (both private at the villa and at a spa), diving, fishing, snorkeling, Maya ruin tours, helicopter tours and many more.

If you’re looking for a wedding destination there’s no finer place than Solaria Villas. When you combine Villa I, Villa II and Villa III you have more than enough accommodation for your wedding party (up to 28 guests) and if you need more space we can book additional rooms at the neighboring resort. Your concierge is well connected with all of the major wedding planners that cater to Belize and will work with you to find the perfect match. Ambergris Caye is also home to award winning photographers to capture your special moment.

Chef Services - We've all lived here a long time and we know who we'd like to cook for us if we had a private chef. Let us pass on that experience and book you a private chef for that special night, or every night if you wish... Private chefs are in high demand so please do let us know upon booking and we'll make it happen.

A mid stay clean and sheet change is provided with your booking (6 nights and over).

Daily Maid Service - Daily or occasional maid service is available payable directly to the maid. For scheduling reasons daily maid service must be requested prior to arrival.

* One complimentary 4 seat golf cart is provided for stays of 7 nights or longer. Fuel for the cart is not included.

Basic amenities are included - full bedding (linens, pillows, duvets), towels, beach towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap, cleaning supplies, salt/pepper, ground coffee, filters, sugar, creamer and Marie Sharp's.

Our Team

Each core team member has lived a minimum of 14 years on Ambergris Caye with a combined total of 60+ years in the community.

Simon Backley, Owner – Simon has lived in Belize since 2000. Simon’s background before arriving in Belize was 15 years of IT Management, Consulting and Business Process Management. Simon was also involved in Yacht Charter Management on Ambergris Caye for 10 years with TMM Yacht Charters, an occupation no different than Property Management other than buildings tend to stay put…

Amanda Syme, Owner – Amanda has lived in Belize since 1981 and has 30 + years of Belize Real Estate experience. She has raised family of 3 children and been actively involved in the community as a volunteer and a member of the South Ambergris Caye Neighborhood Watch and has been a key player in the San Pedro Business Association, served in committees with the San Pedro Town council and continues to serve as a Justice of the Peace and a Special Constable.

Elena Choc, General Manager – Elena was born in Orange Walk and has lived on Ambergris Caye since 2001. Elena brings years of logistics, scheduling and customer service experience to our company.

Solaria Villas are all beautiful villas and each one has it's own unique character reflecting the tastes of the owner. The setting and the villas are so special that we could not turn down the opportunity.

What makes this villa unique

Solaria Villas are far enough from town to give you a feeling of privacy and adventure but not so far that you don't have easy access to the amenities in town. There are also restaurants within walking distance for a night out. If you don't feel like grocery shopping yourself, delivery is a quick call away on the cell phone that we provide during your stay.

The Solaria Villas are about 4 miles North of San Pedro, and are spacious and well appointed condominiums, with all of the conveniences of home. The golf cart makes getting around the island easy, and is the standard mode of transportation for most people on Ambergris Caye, with Secret Beach being a short and worthwhile jaunt to the west, and grocery stores within easy access to the North or South. Dining out was convenient, with the Truck Stop and Crocs being great places to grab some good food and drinks, or 'O' being right next door offering a fine dining experience. The Truck Stop even has outdoor movies showing, at leats on some evenings. However, I would definitely encourage you to schedule a little down time at the Villa. We made breakfast in the kitchen, and spent the morning lounging by the pool for a very relaxing day. The Tres Cocos also serves a great breakfast just down the road by the Truck Stop. We stayed in Solaria II, which had four bedrooms and four and a half baths, plenty of room for 8 of us to get together or avoid each other as needed. A large dining table, and TV viewing area, with wifi, HBO, and Netflix, a well-equipped kitchen, and a garage with bikes and kayaks for your personal use, make the villa a perfetc place for a big family or two to share and enjoy a great vacation together. With the golf cart, getting down to San Pedro was a short drive, and we managed to schedule some great dives with the Scuba School, which I can recommend. However, White Sands Dive Shop is right next door and awfully convenient. I can't recommend them, as I did not dive with them, but they are well reviewed and I sure wish I had known about them while I was planning our vacation. So now you know. We had a great time on Ambergris Caye, with diving and trips to the mainland, and just relaxing on the beach and by the pool. I can definitely recommend the Solaria Villas as a place to call home on the island.

Nice place, huge villa. enjoyed the pool. Onsite caretaker was great. 4 stars on location only because it is pretty far north from town. 4 stars on condition only because the TV's were blocked from the wifi for streaming. No reason for that because the internet is excellent. We recommend this property.

As soon as we heard you were having problems with the TV, which was only a week old, we checked and it was working fine and connected to the Internet. Since that time though we found that the TV was intermittently dropping the Internet connection so we've order a whole home WiFi booster to try and resolve the problem. Hope to see you again soon!

We just returned from a great geteaway in San Pedro, Belize. We were two families (8 in total) and stayed in the very spacious Solaria Villa II. We loved the layout and the access to the pool with our kids. It felt like a private pool for just our Villa. Of all the three properties, I'd say if you have kids this one is especially appealing. THe place was pretty well equipped overall. We wish there had been more spices etc. when we arrived (like some of our previous VRBO experiences) but we made do. Simon was a great resource not only before we arrived but also when we landed for some local content. Jose was fantastic, and responsive. You never seemed to notice him until you needed him and then he was right there. He does a really great job. Had 2 very successful tours through "SeaDuced", and would certainly recommend the as well. The beaches at Solaria Villa aren't that great with all the sea grass that blows ashore by the minute it seems. THat said, we spend most of our time at the pool and for beach days we would HIGHLY recommend the 15 minute golf cart ride to Secret Beach which is stunning!! Miles of sandy bottom, shallow water for the kids to swim and play. Beautiful beaches and in the context of most amazing beaches, extremely quiet. GEt there while this gem remains (my guess is that in 10-15 years big resorts will be in here to monopolize this still unspoiled spot). Finally, we found the found in San Pedro to be delightful. SO many great places it's hard to narrow them down. I would say that Coco's (right beside Solaria) has really really good food (as good as we had anywhere) and it's so handy because it's next door.

Solaris Villa II was perfect for our Spring Break trip! The villa had plenty of space for our two families of 4 which included young adult/teenage kids. Simon and Jose were extremely helpful with whatever we needed during our stay such as helping secure transportation from the airport, golf cart rentals and local favorites. We enjoyed snorkeling, bone fishing, kayaking and visiting Secret Beach. We’ll be back for sure!

Our group of six had a fabulous time staying at the Solaria Villa II. The property was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and direct access to the beach. The caretaker was exceptional in assisting with anything we needed. Went for an all day sailing excursion through Carribean Adventures Belize which included 4 snorkeling adventures. Have to say the snorkeling experience was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this property.
