|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
You won't believe how beautiful and serene this waterfront community is unless you had been here. It's the best kept secret area in NYC. It's very quiet. It doesn't have the typical crazy traffic of NYC and yet you're closed to everything by car. Forget about driving 6 hour round trip to the Hampton from Manhattan, instead in 20 min, you would feel like you're on vacation arriving to a waterfront resort. The house was built in 2006 with high ceilings, wood floors, granite counter-top kitchen and bathrooms, Stainless Steel Appliances and large windows and doors for the view of the water. The owner also hired a professional, home theater engineer to install the surround theater sound with HD Plasma Flat Screen TV in the living room. Balcony, dining room, living room and kitchen all have a spectacular view of the bridge, water and garden. There is also a Steinway Piano, so bring your music books. #15A Bus Stop is two blocks away, 20 min bus ride to #7 Subway Main Street Station in Flushing(Chinatown).
If you're looking for a beautiful and peaceful waterfront property in a busy and noisy big apple, then look no further, this is it. There is no other place in NYC likes it. Guests would rent the entire 2nd floor as per photos shown of the house for their stay. Kindly note that this is a quiet neighborhood and thus no party or unregistered guests on the premises premitted.

Grace King purchased this house in 2006
The best place to live in the world is NYC and the best place to live in NYC is Whitestone. :-) It's waterfront and near the airport, Manhattan, Flushing Chinatown and shopping.
Huge, private, quiet, beautiful and oceanfront property in NYC? It's not difficult to fall in love with this place.
The house was excellent, in the lovely Whitestone area, with a back balcony and deck overlooking the East River.
In the magnificent weather we were lucky enough to encounter on our visit, this balcony with a view, and the decking at the bottom of the garden, down by the river, meant that we could enjoy sitting out there, particularly in the morning and evening, during down times.
The house was clean, excellently furnished and well presented and the hospitality we received from Grace, our hostess, and her assistant, was first class.
It suited our purposes perfectly. We had an exceptional base from which we could easily visit family who live closeby and we were easily able to commute to the City, when we needed to, because there are appropriate bus stops convenient to the house.
We enjoyed our visit so much, and the hospitality Grace provided, that we will definitely try to rent it again when we return and we will have no hesitation in recommending the house as a more than suitable base, to our wide family circle, should any of them wish to visit our relatives nearby when they travel to NY from Europe.
Thank you Grace, for a memorable experience.
My daughter was getting married in Queens to a guy from Iowa and we are from New Hampshire so I wanted to rent a house so that we could have a home base to entertain his family and the wedding party. The house is beautiful and on Long Island Sound so the view is to die for however I was not aware at the time of rental that the owner moves down to the lower level of a split level home while she rents out the upstairs. I thought I was renting a single family home with no one else there. Although the owner was very nice, it was an awkward situation as there was no separate entrances and only a curtain at the bottom of the stairs. The owner was very strict about the house alarm being set at 9:30 pm so it almost felt like we had a curfew. She also was very concerned that we might have visitors. We never intended to have any kind of raucous parties but felt like we were being watched and counted the entire time. There were two days during our stay when she was out for the day and we felt like we could relax but the remainder of the stay was very uncomfortable. Had I known this would be the living situation I probably would not have rented this property. I feel if you are paying this kind of money for a rental that you should be left alone and be able to have privacy and visitors. At one point my husband was alone at the house and the owners elderly mother came up the stairs yelling to him that they were leaving and to set the alarm...totally an invasion of privacy. Again the place was beautiful and clean but not truly a rental, more of being a guest in the owners house. I would not rent there again as I need my privacy.
Me and my Dad stayed here for a couple of days while we were on a golf vacation around the city. The place was perfect in every sense of the meaning. First off great location, very quiet and nice neighborhood that was an awesome place to come back to after a day of golfing. Second the house was amazing, WOW is all I can say about it, completely top shelf in every sense with a great view of the East River, sitting out on the balcony and watching things go by was very cool. Third Grace was super. Very nice and so helpful in so many things, we didn’t have any problems but I know if we did she would have taken care of them in a heartbeat. I have no doubt that if we get back to the city we are for sure going to book here again, thank you so much Grace!
My family stayed at this property and we could not be more delighted. What an AWESOME experience! The views were breathtaking and the house was clean and extra comfortable. This was the perfect accommodations for what we needed. The owner Grace Kelly is a super phenomenal lady and her assistant Linda is wonderful. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there again. The Lopez Family thanks you so much :)
I've stayed here twice now & am planning my 3rd stay in a few months. I needed a place that was calm, quiet & safe & I got that & a whole lot more! The house has all the lovely amenities & is decorated very tastefully & quite comfortable. There is a full kitchen that is beautifully laid out & has all the "kitchen wares" available for use. The 2 smaller bedrooms are quite comfortable & the 1st bathroom is bright & lovely. The Master Suite is AMAZING! The bed is sooooo comfortable & there is a beautiful master bath fully equipped w/separate shower & jacuzzi tub. It's heaven! The outside deck is by far my favorite. The view is stunning & it's quite calming, right there on the waterfront. It's conveniently located w/easy access to the parkways & parking right out front. I highly recommend this place for a quiet, comfortable & convenient stay in Queens!
This home was perfect for me and my family of 8. It was very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, this home is a gem. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and beverages. The veiw is to die for. Thank you very much Grace making our visit enjoyable.
