About Greg and Debbie Stellakis
My husband Greg and I have been renting this property out year round up until recently. We live on the coast and decided that we want to spend more time here. So far, its working out great and we're meeting a lot of nice people along the way.
Greg and Debbie Stellakis purchased this House in 2004
Why Greg and Debbie Stellakis chose Kingfield
This is a comfortable old Victorian in the heart of Kingfield. We've tried to keep the feel of the house. All the mouldings, old glass windows and even the claw foot tub are still here. Being in the center of town makes everything easy, it slows down the pace. You can walk to a restaurant or store or catch the shuttle to Sugarloaf for a day of skiing.
What makes this House unique
If you are an outdoor enthusiast this is the perfect spot to set up home base. There is skiing at Sugarloaf 17 minutes north, snowmobile access to major trails the next street over. In warmer weather there is kayaking, hiking, fishing, biking, etc., etc., etc...
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
Greg and Debbie didn't miss a detail. We felt pampered. The proximity to Sugarloaf was perfect to ski for the week. Easy to baby proof for our very mobile 15 month old with one baby gate. We loved our stay and plan to go back.
Julie and her family were a pleasure to host. Communication was easy right from the start. Couldn't ask for a better group.
Clean, warm, comfortable, and very accomodating
Great overall experience. House was warm and comfortable. Owner was quick to respond to questions and very helpful.
Would definitely recommend Chris as a guest. Friendly, easy correspondence, great guest.
Quaint, clean and welcoming!
We loved our stay at this home. The house has great character and a ton of space. It was extremely clean. Kitchen was very well stocked, including a welcome gift, just know there is no dishwasher. The owners were extremely welcoming and responsive. The location is great, a short walk to a little town center and straight shot to Sugarloaf. It snowed while we were there, and unfortunately a plow never came and we had to dig ourselves out. We would definitely stay again.
Brigitte's group was a pleasure to have. Communication was easy and very friendly and the house was left in good order. We definitely would recommend them as guests.
As for the plowing...We were surprised to hear that the driveway wasn't cleared as we've always had a good response from the company. We're glad that we were made aware so that we know to follow up on it.
Nice place convenient to skiing
We enjoyed our stay in Kingfield. Greg and Debbie showed great hospitality with their clean and comfortable home. We enjoyed some hot chocolate on a cold night.
Nice comfortable home in a small town
This is my 2nd year staying at the house and I loved it just as much as the 1st time. The owners are very nice and quick to respond with any questions you have. Nice cozy home 20 minutes south of Sugarloaf
We were so happy to hear back from Jeff. He's a great tenant. Very friendly, keeps in touch and leaves the house in great order. Mostly though we love that he has such a good time. We hope to hear from him again next year!
Great place to stay while skiing at Sugarloaf
Our family had a great stay for our ski weekend at Sugarloaf. The first floor has a large kitchen allowing us a place for fixing breakfast and packing lunch for the day. The three bedrooms on the 2nd floor were roomy and warm on a cold night. The house is in walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Kingfield.
Greg and Debbie were very helpful and obliging of our family needs. They went beyond expectation to allow us to have a comfortable stay.
When we ski again at Sugarloaf, our family looks forward to staying here.
We were very happy to host the Olson family. Greg was great at informing us of their needs.
The best part of being in the hospitality business is being able to create a place of comfort and good memories.
The communication was very much appreciated and the house was left in great order. We look forward to hosting the Olson again.
Kingfield is the perfect home base for the outdoor enthusiast. From skiing at Sugarloaf to hiking/camping/mountaineering at Bigelow. There are also some great events such as the Bangor Symphony Orchestra that comes to town every summer to the Kennedy farm for July the 4th celebration. The Sugarloaf Marathon in May that finishes right in town. The Artwalks and Kingfield Days to name only a few of the events that take place right here in town!
