Lakes & Dales cottages

These 2 cottages are a high quality conversion of a sandstone barn to luxury holiday accommodation with the emphasis on retaining the character features. The cottages are 'inverted' with the living space, kitchen and dining area on the first floor to give you the benefit of the stunning views over the Lake District hills and the North Pennines.

The cottage has an en-suite master bedroom with king size iron beds and feature beams throughout. The second bedroom can either be twin bedded or linked to form a super king size bed. This room has the use of a separate bathroom.

At Midtown Farm, there is a large garden and Village green where you can relax and enjoy the warm evenings with ample tables & chairs for whiling away a glorious evening in tranquil surroundings.

All you could want and more

welcomed by Kerry, who showed us round the accommodation, very welcoming tea, coffee and sugar along with biscuits to greet us, milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The cottage was really clean, and the views great, would (have already) recommend staying here as get away from it all break. Only complaint was the positioning of the toilet roll holders made them hard to reach when on the loo. Shampoo, body wash, toilet rolls and plenty of towels provided. Really did not want to leave.

Great get-away

Lovely comfortable, warm cottage located in beautiful scenery. Quiet farmland location and with great walks, good pubs nearby and the lakes within 40 mins drive, plus good shopping in Penrith for supplies when needed.
