|Minimum Stay||3 - 7 nights|
The beachfront property is nestled amidst the Cabo hillsides, located in one of the most exclusive and pristine communities along the corridor. A short 30 minutes drive into the bustling Cabo San Lucas, and a 15 minute drive from the quaint, cute town of Los Cabos. After driving though the double guard gated community, you are rewarded with a small community of Cabo style masterpiece homes, and the most pristine, exclusive private white sand beaches on the peninsula.
The home itself is now being offered for the first time as a rental property. The home is truly a masterpiece, perched up steps from the white sand beach, with a breathtaking view of the dramatically emerald blue Sea of Cortez. The breeze from the sea blows into the magnificently appointed 4 bedroom 4 bath home through the abundant large pane window sliders facing the sea. All rooms have dramatic views of the ocean, with ocean air flooded the space. The old world feel of the living and dining space, make the stay in Cabo truly memorable.
The exterior areas of the estate are equally dramatic. The salt water disappearing edge pool and spa compliment the lush landscape and dramatic views.
The views of the sea are dramatic from anywhere in the yard, and the3 exterior BBQ areas and seating areas are ideal for whale watching.
So, we had looked through the pictures of Casa Bernard from the website and when we arrived those pictures did not do the house justice. In reality Casa Bernard is more of a "mini" mansion/villa with a massive back patio with infinity pool and immaculate views of a private beach on the Sea of Cortez.
The place would be perfectly suited for a small group of people or even larger families. We left a large upstairs bedrooms untouched. We did make adequate use of the pool/patio, master bedroom and bath area, and a really spectacular kitchen area. The house has a great sound system as well that is connected to outside speakers and your choice of any number of satellite radio stations. There is a computer we used to periodically catch up with family while we were there and nice flat screen tv and couch area for any late-night movies or shows.
As mentioned, we decided to stock our place with food so that we could avoid going in and out of town all the time. So it was nice to be able to relax by the pool and prepare our own food anytime we wanted. The grill works great. We made tostadas and carne asada tacos. Everything you might need is in the kitchen. It is fully equipped with all the appliances, pots/pans, plates, cups and bowls, etc. There is also a liquor cabinet with several bottles inside if you might enjoy a drink or two.
Our bed felt great, we slept like babies most nights. The beach was fairly desolate while we were there so we felt like we had a beach to ourselves. We would take fresh fruit and food down there to have little picnics and lay by the beach. Periodically we took walks down the beach and checked out some of the surrounding homes and areas. It was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate our honeymoon in June, very romantic, private and relaxing. I would recommend Casa Bernard to anyone, and want to get back there with my wife or even take some of our friends next time!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home in Cabo. Our family especially enjoyed the outdoor space of this home which is spectacular and watching the shows put on by passing whales out in the pacific. The beach below is ultimately private and the children enjoyed body surfing- we enjoyed the views.
The house was well fit out with linens, beach toys, and the kitchen up to date as well.
Juan Pablo, the manager was super helpful and assisted us in arranging fishing adventures, a private chef for Christmas dinner and answered a myriad of questions we had. We will definitely be back for a repeat performance of our happy time in Cabo. Muchos Gracias!!
You know what they say about real estate, there are only 3 important attributes: location, location, and location. Well you will be hard pressed to beat this location, and even harder pressed to beat the accommodations. Very private yet convenient to any shopping, dining and fishing adventure you want to embark on. This spacious estate is very well appointed, four bedrooms that all offer privacy from the others. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to eat in. We actually made a mistake and ate out one night. The property manager, Juan Pablo, set us up with an outstanding chef who treated us to multiple dinners and breakfasts. Why go to a restaurant when you have all the ambiance you would ever want right on the back patio with an unobstructed view of the ocean? And the food was not only terrific, but also abundant. Leftovers provided lunch every day. Quite relaxing, we enjoyed strolls on the beach, swimming in the pool, soaking in the spa, and basking on the deck enjoying the view of the ocean. When we return, we know exactly where we will be staying.
This was our 5th stay in the Cabo area, and I don't remember a better experience!! The house was immaculate!! Though we didn't stay inside all that much, the house had everything we could have asked for! The kitchen was fantastic, and met all our needs. The bedrooms were awesome as well.
As great as the inside was, the outside was the real prize. With unbelievable views of the ocean and the beach, we were outside ALL day. The pool was unbelievable. It was very large, and deeper than what we've usually seen. There were plenty of loungers, and room around the pool. Super easy access to the beach was the icing on the cake.
All in all, it was a fantastic home. I'd highly recommend staying here.
7 girls stayed at Casa Bernard for a long weekend in Feb. We could have easily fit 10 though! It's located in a quiet neighborhood about 25 min from downtown Cabo, so if you're going to spend a lot of time downtown, you should definitely rent a car. We didn't spend much time downtown because we didn't want to leave the house! We had groceries delivered upon our arrival and had a chef cook dinner each night. The pool area, where we spent most of our time, is huge. One day we took the short, rocky trek down to the private beach (wear sandals). The tide was a little rough getting in and out of the ocean but the water was perfect!! Of the 4 days we were there, we left the house just once to do a snorkeling cruise. I highly recommend Casa Bernard! We want to go back! JP, the house manager, was SO accommodating - I don't know what we would have done without him!!
Even though hurricane Blanca tried to sucker-punch our vacation, my family of 10 had a wonderful time at Casa Bernard. So much so, that my adult children are trying to figure out how to get back with their friends. :)
The pending storm necessitated many conversations with Jason, the homeowner and JP, the property manager--and I come away with one thing-- these are people I'd invite to dinner (which I actually did, JP was able to join us for our catered dinner; it was awesome) I'd recommend the homemade chile relleno's...
Even though we never wanted to leave the pool/ocean view, supplies needed to be replenished-- golf needed to be played, snorkeling trips needed to take place, drinking mescal at the art walk must happen-- RENT A CAR.
in the epic bout between hurricane Blanca and Casa Bernard--- (in a unanimous 10-0 decision) the 2015 middleweight title goes to... drum roll please, Casa Bernard-- awesome house, outstanding customer service, we would absolutely love twelve more rounds.
Many thanks to Jason and JP for helping in every conceivable way during this week, they impressed a house full of family and friends.
We had a great time. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. It accommodated all of us (10 adults and 2 children), the pool and views were fabulous. The outside grill was exactly what we needed. One of my daughters is a chef and she grilled a spectacular fish dinner for us (we went fishing one day and caught a “rooster” fish that was delicious).
The house was well stocked with towels, etc. We made good use of the cooler in the garage as we consumed a prodigious amount of beer! The kitchen had all the cooking utensils, pots & pans, and plates that a large family needed.
It was a relaxing week and everyone had fun. My family was sad to leave on Saturday, but was already asking if we could do it again! If all of us are planning to visit Cabo again you will be my first choice for lodging.
This beachfront home is an architectural masterpiece, with an ideal location within the high end exclusive community of Cabo Colorado. The community is located minutes north of Palmilla, buffered by private hillsides and rewarded with incredible private beaches. The home is secured with grandiose entrance gates and the community is double guard gated as well.
