Cove Cottage is a converted barn which is located very close to the sea at Budle Bay in the small hamlet of Waren Mill. It is part of a group of 4 properties set around a shared courtyard called Smugglers Court. It has a quiet outdoor seating area with table and chairs, which is a suntrap and ideal for enjoying the sunshine.
The cottage is furnished and equipped to the same level as our own home, so you can be assured of cleanliness and comfort. Relax on our comfortable M&S sofas, John Lewis beds and enjoy the plentiful fluffy towels and crisp hotel quality cotton sheets.
Cove Cottage is an upside-down house with the living area and kitchen on the first floor to take full advantage of the wonderful exposed original barn beams. On the first floor is the open plan kitchen/ dining area with fully fitted oak kitchen complete with electric fan oven and grill, induction hob, extractor, microwave, toaster and dishwasher and fully equipped with everything you need. The cupboards are packed full of all the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, glass- and ovenware and kitchen utensils for all your cooking needs. There is an extending oak dining table with seating for four.
The lounge area has original oak beams, two sofas and various pieces of oak furniture. For the cooler days there is a cast iron log burner-style electric fire. Radiators in all rooms provide a cosy environment, no matter what the weather.
There is a well-stocked bookcase with ficton and non-fiction books as well as a good selection of DVDs and CDs for you to enjoy on your holiday. The cottage has a flatscreen freeview smart TV with catch-up services such as BBC iPlayer as well as a DVD player. We also have a Sony PlayStation PS3 games console, complete with a large selection of games and multiple controllers. You can access NowTV on the PS3, which gives you a huge selection of current shows and box sets (Entertainment) and films (Sky Movies).
On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with twin single beds and one with a comfortable king size bed. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. There are hairdryers and bedside lamps in each bedroom. Also on the ground floor is the family bathroom, complete with bath and over-bath 10kW electric shower.
There is fibre broadband and wifi at the cottage (approx. 35 Mb, so you can stream and download without interruption) and we have provided our guests with a landline phone with honesty box, as mobile signal can be variable on some networks.
There is off-road parking for one car in the courtyard down the side of the cottage, with further parking for additional cars available outside the courtyard.
If you want to experience the stunning beauty of this area whilst enjoying the quietness and comfort of Cove Cottage, then this is the place for you.
Northumberland still remains one of the best undiscovered places of natural beauty in the UK, steeped in history with many wonderful castles and historic houses, Hadrians Wall and the wild Cheviot Hills to name but a few. Boat trips leave Seahouses daily for the Farne Islands, weather permitting.
Below we have listed a little of what's on offer in the Northumberland area:
Walk from the cottage across the road and over the bridge to Budle Bay, which is part of the Lindisfarne nature reserve. This is a very popular bird watching spot and it is right on your doorstep. The lovely village of Bamburgh is only 2 miles and there are various public footpath routes with stunning coastal and inland views. We are also just a few miles by car to Holy Island, Alnwick Castle, Berwick-upon-Tweed and many other beautiful spots along this lovely coastline.

About Clare Green
We have owned Cove Cottage since March 2016 and we want you to have a wonderful holiday in our lovely cottage, which we also use for our own little bit of heaven next to the sea. We consider the cottage to be an extension of our own home, so the furnishings and equipment are of a higher standard than you usually find in a holiday home. Our aim is to make your visit as comfortable as possible and hopefully you will leave feeling you have had value for the money you have spent. We get great pleasure from the comments in our visitors book from satisfied guests.

Why Clare Green chose Easington
Cove Cottage will be our dream retirement home, but until then we are very happy to share it with you for your own holidays. It is just a short walk across the road to Budle Bay, which is the start of a picturesque beach walk to Bamburgh. Waren Mill is a quiet secluded little hamlet, perfect for getting away from it all.
What makes this Barn unique
The cottage is in the most scenic area of the Northumberland coast, you won't find a better area as a holiday base, we have so many comments from guests saying a week is not enough, many return on a regular basis each year. Not only do you have the immediate area but for miles around in all directions, beauty and history is everywhere.

Cosy Cove Cottage
Just had a great 4 night stay at Cove Cottage, Waren Mill. It was a true gem. The owners have made it a very welcoming property and our wee puppy was allowed to stay too. Great value. Thanks to Clare and Adrian who have made it home from home for us.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your festive break, it is always lovely to hear such lovely feedback and we hope to see you again in 2018.
Cove Cottage Warren Mill
Charming and quite barn conversion. Did what it offered, thank you.
A delightful cottage, beautifully furnished and equipped. Home from home.
We had a most enjoyable stay at Cove Cottage. A lovely quiet location and a perfect spot to explore the beautiful coastline, castles and Farne Islands! We had good weather too even if it was a rocky trip to see the puffins! Such a lovely comfortable cottage to come back to for a relaxing evening! It was great. Just what we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay; we particularly liked the range of board games that were available for us all to play! It's in a quiet spot, the beds and sofas were comfy and we had a well-stocked kitchen with nice welcome pack.
The only thing we missed was the ability to walk to a local pub, given the poor weather, but this didn't deract from the cottage at all.
Everthing you could wish for home from home.
The cottage felt v welcoming quiet, v clean. Felt lke a home. Good position for seeing the coast. Nice touches like a complimentary bottle of wine, beer & cake! Would certainly book again without hesitation . Highly recommended.
Wonderful few days spent comfortably at this super cottage on the wonderful Northumberland coast.
