Vale Court Cottage has a unique location with beautiful views over fields towards Bolberry Down from the lovely south-facing patio and large secluded garden. On the ground floor there is a comfortable spacious living room with wood burning stove and French doors opening onto the large patio. Flat screen television with free view, DVD and docking station. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen with electric range, microwave, dishwasher & fridge. Newly refurbished bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. Utility room with washer dryer and additional toilet. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms, one king, one twin and one single room. Outside there is a large private, secluded garden with wonderful views over open countryside. Separate area with parking for two cars.

Ideal accommodation and setting, with stunning views across the Devon countryside.. Five minutes from the coast at Salcombe, or you can also pop to Hope Cove. We have had a great time and didn't want to leave.

This property is very pretty, a lovely cosy cottage with log burner and beams and all you would want in a cottage holiday. The gardens are beautiful with fabulous views. Everything was clean and tidy and very well equipped. This really is a beautiful part of the world.

Owners gave us a lovely welcome with cream tea too. Everything clean and comfortable in this lovely cottage. Beautiful field views from the garden. Enjoyed lots of walks to Salcombe and Hope Cove etc. Little ferry across to Mill Sands and Sunny Cove from Salcombe a must as nice sandy beaches and extremely quiet this time of year. Dog friendly too. Lovely food and great hospitality in the pub up the road also nice pub in Salcombe but booking essential. Weather very kind being sunny and very mild. Boat trip on the River Dart in Dartmouth was good with spot of shopping too. Park and ride into Dartmouth recommended. Love love love this area and it’s so dog friendly too everywhere - pubs, shops,cafes and restaurants alike. September is a good month to come - still quite lively but not overcrowded. Lovely friendly owners and very helpful. As mentioned in the directions the driveway into the property is very narrow - we have a mondeo and it was a tight squeeze but we managed it. Probably wouldn’t need to keep driving here anyway. Definitely not a problem just something to be wary of before you arrive. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday. Bed very comfy and new shower amazing!!! Thank you

Beautiful, well situated, comfortable and well equipped cottage
We very much enjoyed our stay ... two parents, a 4-year-old, a mother-in-law, and a newborn baby. With a friend staying nearby who came over for dinner in the evenings. Plenty of space, and a beautiful garden to boot. Val is very considerate, and if we needed anything was on hand to help. Parking conveniently in front of the cottage. Excellently situated for visiting Salcombe, Hope Cove, and lots of other spots nearby. Although there's only one bathroom, downstairs, there's a "non-suite" utility room area which also houses a lavatory. (And another fridge, which we only noticed after a few days.) I would urge the owners to purchase a barbecue, which is the only essential (in the summer) item not currently there, and a nice big saucepan for boiling potatoes / making stock would have been welcome too. All deeply charming, even on the one day that it bucketed down with rain and we had to spend the day indoors. Heartily recommended!

Situated in the heart of the South Hams district of South Devon, Malborough lies between the sailing centre of Salcombe and the market town of Kingsbridge. A quiet little village that has two pubs, a bistro, a well-stocked supermarket, a post office and gift shop. Ideally situated for the wonderful National Trust coastal walks and the wild beauty of Dartmoor. There is a choice of several sandy beaches all within easy reach of the cottage, from small coves to wide-open sands - ideal for surfing and kitesurfing. Also close by is a leisure centre, steam railways, horse riding and golf. The historical seaports of Plymouth and Dartmouth are within a 40 minute drive.

PRICES Bookings during high season are usually for a minimum of 7 days, during other periods the minimum stay is 3 days (prices quoted for short stays are slightly higher due to additional cleaning costs incurred). Please contact the owner if you have a requirement outside of this and we will try to accommodate you. CHANGE-OVER DAY During high season and weekly rentals the changeover day is FRIDAY, outside of these times the date of check in and check out can vary as agreed with the owner. ELECTRICITY This is included in the rental price. PAYMENTS A deposit of 25% of the rate is payable on booking, the remaining 75% must be paid 40 days before the commencement of the holiday. A returnable deposit of £100 is required. All payments are made online directly via the site. PETS Only one well behaved dog is allowed by prior arrangement with the owner. An additional fee will be charged. BED LINEN AND TOWELS These are included in the price for all bookings.
