We the owners, Wes & Joan Porozynski and Curt & Sharon Ayres purchased this property a few years ago. It was built in 2006. Wes and Curt have known
each other since 3rd grade, and we are all originally from Cleveland, Ohio.
Joan Porozynski or Curt Ayres purchased this townhome in 2008
When choosing this home we looked at many different locations. We choose this unit because of the beautiful views from the decks, the secluded beach, and the convenience of having the Seaview Pier nearby. Our wives furnished and decorated the house in a tasteful manner to make anyone feel at home. The view of the sunrise from the deck is amazing.
If you have never been to North Topsail Beach then you don’t know what you are missing!
*Beautiful sun rises.
*600 feet to Seaview fishing pier.
We came into town from Ohio to spend Thanksgiving with our son (stationed at Camp Lejuene and daughter in law). As soon as we got out of the car, you could hear the waves crashing into the shore. We couldn't wait to get settled in and enjoy the spectacular view from the balconies. This home did not disappoint, clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.
We made sure we were up every morning to enjoy the sunrise over the ocean, we also got to enjoy watching dolphins throughout the day. We just wish we would have had binoculars to see them a little better.
Curt was quick to respond when I had questions! Our family loved staying here and would love to come back in the future!
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
What a wonderful place to stay! I read all the reviews of A Pole in the Ayre and researched other properties before booking and I have to be honest this was more then I expected. Kitchen literally had every essential item one one need, bedrooms were large and cozy, and the open concept upstairs was what really brought it all together! After driving nearly 800 miles from upstate NY, this was definitely the place to relax for a week away from it all. Surf fishing was so so, but my son was able to catch many varietys of fish from the pier right next door. The beach, since it was off season was amazingly our own playground for the week! To playing soccer, baseball, throwing a football and lacrosse, the entire beach was just ours! The surround sound system throughout the house and on the back porch was a bonus! We enjoyed enough christmas music to last the rest of the season! Other activies we were able to get in included a round of golf 5 minutes away, and a nice trip to Wilmington to have lunch at the front street brewery and tour the Battleship! (Highly recommended). But the best part of it all would have been just relaxing on the porch overlooking the ocean where dolphins played right in front of the house. Further out, you could see large water spouts shoot in the air followed by whale tails breaking the water! ( wish I had brought binoculars). We really lucked out with not to shabby weather for the time of year! I left with a tan face. Overall, this house was just what was needed for us for the week and it was everything the reviews said and more! We would like to thank the homeowners for allowing us to stay there and enjoy this property! We can't wait to return next year!
The house was just as advertised/reviewed. The location was perfect; quiet, beautiful stretch of beach. This was our first trip with our friends and our 2 new additions (both 10 months old) and it really worked out well. The kitchen was well stocked and the space was great for 2 small families. We did have 2 days with horrible biting flies on the beach, but that can't be controlled, just recommending bug spray to anyone visiting. 2 minor suggestions: a new charcoal grill and the master bed is very loud (squeaky/not sure how to describe). We would DEFINITELY rent again! Thank you for a great first visit to North Topsail!
We loved staying in your home! Everything was great, the house is beautiful and very well cared for. The kitchen is stocked with anything you would ever need. And the location is perfect with it's proximity to the Sea View Pier for fishing and eating out was wonderful not to mention just walking off your porch steps onto the beach. I highly recommend this property to everyone. We will be renting this home again!!!
a lovely beach-acess home! We enjoyed a three generation beach vacation. kitchen needs are well met, beds are comfotable, views amazing,
bathrooms great, balconies super! lots of stairs.
We look forward eagerly to returning next year!
This was our second year staying in this home and we will definitely be staying again! The kitchen is very well equipped with dinnerware, baking dishes, small appliances for those who wish to do their own cooking. The BBQ grill is a bonus! The locally caught fish we purchased from The Shrimp Lady were delicious!
We love this Home Away!
