About Sandy Holt

I am proud to say that I am a native Nashvillian. I have spent my life living in Tennessee and a University of Tennessee alumni.

I love the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and especially boating, are my favorite past time activities, and I am a huge Nashville Predator's fan.

Whether you live in Tennessee or just come to visit, I highly recommend you experience Old Hickory Lake, a treasure found right outside my back door.

Sandy Holt purchased this house in 1996

Why Sandy Holt chose Tennessee

I purchased this property initially as a personal vacation home and have since purchased another home four doors down the street for my permanent residence. The property is very private and yet I can be in downtown Nashville in 20 - 25 minutes.

What makes this house unique

The cottage was a perfect spot for me and my two sons to get away, fish, enjoy the boat and spend time together. We certainly have shared some treasured moments and built fond memories while staying in our lake home. I am excited to share this special place with others to create your own wonderful memories.

Shush....keep my secret. Perfect lake hideaway .

  • 5 of 5

Just loved the entire experience. Sandy (Jack) is a true southern gentleman who maintains his faith in humanity. Super laid back, low key . No stress or fuss. The house was perfect for our needs. The neighbors were wonderful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next visit.

Great Lake cottage for our brief stay

  • 5 of 5

We were only there for three nights, but it is a lovely little cottage with a great location. We didn't come across Sandy, but the house was nice and clean and ready for our arrival and it was clear if we did need anything from Sandy he could be over quickly. Friendly neighbors who were having fun with their family. Very close to Hermitage, and we also made a trip to downtown to check out the Vanderbilt campus and to try Hattie B's (both worth the trip). Favorite part was sitting on the dock in the evenings with the family catching fish (perch, catfish, and a white bass). Really relaxing place to get away from it all.

Not a 3 bedroom home

  • 3 of 5

Although this was a nice and clean house, we were very disappointed to learn after we arrived to find out it was only a 2 bedroom house. When we reserved the house on the VRBO website, it stated it was a 3 bedroom house. It made our stay for the week very cramped! I will give credit to the owner after some negotiating we agreed on a fair price for the inconvenience. We were also disappointed in how dirty the lake was. We were able to enjoy the canoes a couple of evenings but our kids had been looking forward to swimming in the lake and wanted nothing to do with it. We truly enjoyed Nashville and the surrounding areas but overall the biggest negative of our vacation was the housing.

Small, quaint, clean property. A bit overpriced in my opinion (use of pontoon would make it 5⭐️s)

  • 4 of 5

Good location. 20 minutes to anything and everything in Nashville. The all day parties and loud music at the little island were a little distracting when trying to enjoy the lakefront, but not the owners fault. Overall, a good stay.
