Directions: St. Aygulf is located between Cannes (30km), and St. Tropez (28 km). Highway exit Frejus, from here towards St. Tropez (N 98).
The detached holiday house is located in an evolved, well maintained luxury residential area in calm, central location (dead-end road) close to the sea (3 walking minutes). The apartment comprises a terrace and an exotic garden which profits from the shade of the mature trees. Sun-loungers and chairs for relaxing. The garden also offers a barbecue facility with dining area next to a small, romantic fountain. Within few minutes on foot you reach the village centre with shopping facilities, restaurants, cafés, a typical French market and a small marina. At the nearby beach you can choose between rocky coves, ideal for snorkelling and the one kilometre long sandy beach between St. Aygulf and Frejus. Enjoy the abundant leisure activities for water sports and nature lovers.
The wording of the property description appears to have been amended since we looked and booked earlier this year. At the time of our booking, there was no indication, on this website that the building comprised two separate rentals and it was with dismay and anger that we only realised there would be anyone else in the property when we arrived. We are still very angry with the owner for what we consider was a deliberate attempt to mislead holiday makers. Worse than this, there was total confusion about the use of the garden which resulted in ill feeling between ourselves and the other guests ;they had been told , by the owner, that they had exclusive use of the whole garden and that we were only entitled to use our, very nice, but very small balcony; we had been told, by the lady whom we had to pay to clean the property, that the garden was split and that we had exclusive use of the back part. When we each looked at our contracts, however, it was stated that infact both parties had use of the whole garden!! What a shambles and simply not good enough when we were paying a large sum of money to rent it.
It was a lovely house in an excellent location, but we do not take kindly to being duped. We have learned from the experience. It certainly does not help that this owner speaks virtually no English.
Shopping facilities in immediate vicinity. The house is 5 walking minutes away from the sea. Swimming is possible at rocky or sandy beaches. Extensive hikes along the sea and in the mountains are possible. For cyclists and water sports lovers, there are abundant offers. Very close to St. Aygulf you find St. Tropez (about 25 km). Trips to Cannes (about 30 km), Nice (about 60 km), Cap Antibes and typical cities of Southern France are possible. Lots of variety - restaurants, cafés and shopping facilities.
