About the property

Nibletts Holiday Barns

The Granary was converted into a holiday home in 2008 and has been a huge success. The Roller Mill and Cadbury Barn were converted in 2010 and finally The Cowshed has been converted. They are all situated on our farm. The farm is in a quite location on the edge of the beautiful village of Yarpole, which offers a shop and cafe in the church and a Pub with excellent food. We are surrounded by glorious North Herefordshire countryside.

The barns have been converted to the highest specification, with stone floors and underfloor heating. All have well equipped kitchen, with dining area & comfortable sitting area. All have utility rooms and enclosed gardens.

The Granary offers comfortable and spacious accommodation for 8/10 people. 1 double/twin with en suite wet room and 3 further bathrooms upstairs 1 en suite and a small sitting room with sofa bed. The Roller Mill & Cadbury Barn both have 1 double/twin en suite, 1 king bed & 1 twin room & one share bathroom. All the properties have downstairs bedrooms en suite.

There is a shared games room with pool, table football/air hockey & a wood burner to keep cosy in the chillier months.

We also have a shared lock up bike shed if you fancy doing a bit of cycling.

Dogs policy: As a general rule we do not allow dogs, but do please contact us if you are a dog owner as we do try to help where we can.

Around and about Yarpole: Herefordshire is a well kept secret that we want to share with you. Everyone who come is so surprised at the beauty and the wealth of wonderful things to do and see and all to be enjoyed without the mass of people that may be found in more well know areas of the country.

We are surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside, 240 acres of our own land on which we rear organic cattle.

Within walking distance is the NT property Croft Castle which has the most beautiful gardens, historic trees & breath taking views.

Our Church has recently been renovated to accommodate our shop which is run by the village & has recently won an award for the best village shop, come & see why!

A warm welcome awaits you.

What to do & see: We are spoilt with several pubs & restaurants offering excellent food, all with easy reach. If you want to cater yourself we can provide you with our own organic beef & eggs and there is a farm shop nearby. Within the village is a shop which supplies general provisions. Our local town Ludlow is famous for it gourmet restaurants and farmers market. Ludlow has a wealth of history and charm set in the shadow of its imposing castle.

Leominster is to the south and has a good supermarket & various shops but especially there is a wealth of really good antique centers where you can get fantastic bargains. Another well kept secret we want to share with you.

Beautifully situated & spacious barn conversion

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful holiday at the Granary. The barn conversion is to a very high standard. In particular the beds and sofas are very comfortable and the house is quietly situated. We made use of the hot tub every day and enjoyed playing table tennis and pool. We bought eggs and beef from Cordelia and David - they are charming owners and make every effort to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Thank you for the lovely cake on arrival – it didn’t last long!

There are countryside walks directly from the house and the Bell Inn (2 minutes walk) serves excellent food – you must try the fish & chips! The village shop (in the local church) has a wide range of goods that saves you having to drive to a supermarket. Within a short drive there are cider orchards (eg Dunkertons) and a cheese maker near Leominster (Mousetrap). If you are into secondhand books then Hay-on-Wye is only 40 minutes away.

Fantastic barn conversion

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a fantastic weekend stay for two families. The barn with its hot tub and games room kept five energetic children occupied, whilst the adults relaxed in the huge living area. We enjoyed visiting Ludlow and walking in the surrounding countryside, whilst Yarpole itself is a pretty village with an excellent village shop.Thank you for the lovely cake and your hospitality.

Fantastic stay - such welcoming hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family weekend at the Granary: parents, two grown up children plus partners and a 21 month old.

The accommodation was perfect for our needs. Loads of space, plenty of bathrooms, clean and beautifully finished. The boys loved the games room - its not fancy but it does the job!

The location is great - a short walk into Yarpole to the shop and pub - plenty of walks in the vicinity and only a short drive to two National Trust properties and Ludlow.

The best thing, however, was the warm welcome that we received from Cordelia and David, who are such lovely hosts. A delicious cake on arrival, a tractor ride for the little one and a delayed departure time. Cordelia even took time to show us around one of the new cottages.

The only thing that I would say is that the photos don't do it justice...

We'll definitely be back!

The Roller Mill

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to be the first guests to stay at the newly converted Roller Mill in December 10 and it was so good we've already been back in March 11. The standard of these conversions is superb with a state of the art heating system. The owners are finishing outdoors currently and these properties are very safe for children and very private for adults. Beds are high quality and very comfortable. There is a good pub serving food 200yds (3 minutes) and a unique village shop in the refurbished local church (2 minutes). Lots of walks locally and various National Trust properties close-by. Owners very friendly lovely people who cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. Situated on farm with animals and farmland all around. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Definitely a great find. We hope to return. Paul and Delma Kidner.

Peaceful Village Location

  • 5 of 5

The Granary is set on a working farm, tucked away in the village of Yarpole. The property is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break. The property is a lovely restoration with the most wonderfully comfortable beds. Both double rooms are ensuite - which is a plus when holidaying with 2 families and a second tv room for the kids is an added bonus.

Cordelia was extremely helpful during our stay and it was fantastic to be able to get fresh eggs, great organic steaks (cooked on the BBQ) and a joint of beef to take home for Sunday lunch :-)

The village has a shop run by volunteers that's been relocated in the back of the local church (along with the post office) which stocks all the basic provisions and a village pub that serves great food and ale and is just a short walk away.

You can walk from the property - there's a nice 5 mile circular walk around the village, the location is close to a couple of National Trust p

roperties & the towns of Ludlow & Leominster are within easy reach for days out.

Yarpole is a very pretty village in North Herefordshire bordering Shropshire. To the south we have the market town of Leominster just 4 miles away, a lovely town to explore, especially for the antique shop lovers. To the north, 5 miles away, we have Ludlow, with its reputation for fine food & dining. Both have farmers markets and a wealth of history. We are very lucky to have 2 wonderful National Trust properties very close. Croft Castle and Berrington Hall are both well worth a visit.
