About George

I'am a 5th generation San Francisco native who has renovated and restored this classic SF Victorian Home to it's original glory. Pictures do not do justice it was built in 1875 and is one of the first homes in the Marina/Cow Hollow district. Come and enjoy it's the best!

George purchased this house in 2012

Why George chose San Francisco

I really love this home. It's just a great combination of San Francisco History, built in 1875, with the San Francisco of today. The photo is from the Marina which is a short walk from Scott Street. All that come here enjoy the location and history that this property has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Location, safety, views, great restaurants nightlife and shopping. Reviews by travelers confirm all of this.

Wonderful stay in terrific house

  • 5 of 5

Great house - well maintained, fully equipped and spotlessly clean.

Our family (4 adults and 2 children) enjoyed 6 nights here while visiting SF to attend a wedding. We were delighted to find the house exceeded our expectations - it was a real home from home. It was lovely to relax outside - the patio was beautiful especially when the sun shone.

The neighbourhood was ideal - close to restaurants and shops on Chestnut St and public transport was easy to get to.

Many thanks to George for his warm welcome and prompt replies to our enquiries. He has done a great job with this lovely house.

We would highly recommend this house for a great stay in SF.

Wonderful Home, Perfect Location to View SF

  • 5 of 5

This 4-bedroom home was the perfect size for our families summer vacation to SF. It comfortably accommodated 6 adults and 1 teen-ager and we loved the walk-out porch with the beautiful plants which made you feel like you were not even in the city. The home was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is only a few blocks to the marina and lets you easily walk to many sites like the Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman's Wharf, the Presidio and, of course, many shops and restaurants. There is parking in front of the home in case you decide to rent a car and take a trip or two out of the city. For wonderful views of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean, consider visiting the Cliff House for drinks/dinner.

George was very responsive to our questions before we arrived and then met us the day we arrived to show us around his home and answer any remaining questions. I will definitely reach out to George when we make a return visit.

Beautiful home in an excellent area!

  • 5 of 5

George's home was absolutely wonderful for our stay in San Francisco. We had 8 adults and a child and had so much space for everyone. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated and spacious and the beds were very comfortable for all. We LOVED the patio out back and shared many laughs hanging outside. The area was nice and quiet and we were never bothered by city noises. Location was great and close to many bars and restaurants and convenience stores. George was very responsive before and throughout our stay and was great to rent from. We also hired Rebecca Merrill (recommended by George) as a private chef for a big dinner and she did an amazing job! I highly recommend her if you are staying here and want to have a family dinner at home. Overall, our stay was relaxing and care-free due to the great care George took of the house and us. Would stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!

George's home is warm, cozy and very inviting.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at George's home. Everything we needed was available : comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen filled with many seasonings etc. patio, laundry, fresh towels, This home is very charming. George is a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. The location is perfect. Away from street noise and the hustle bustle, yet close to grocery store, restaurants and specialty shops. To get to Union Street you have to climb a steep hill but it's worth the effort. We loved everything about this home.

Amazing Home!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfectly gorgeous place, in a wonderful location! There was plenty of room for 5 adults, and we adored everything about the house.

The garden sitting area outside was the icing on the cake. George was very helpful, a great communicator, and super hospitable.

The home was well stocked, clean, and wonderfully charming. Would absolutely stay there again if we get to go back!

Elegant and gorgeous

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I (5 women total) stayed 4 nights at this gorgeous home. The photos and information in the listing were spot on to the actual property. The house is well maintained inside and out. It was spotless clean.

George greeted us warmly and was a gracious host throughout our stay. He even accommodated our need to stay past check out time.

We enjoyed the beauty of the house, patio and the surrounding neighborhood. The house is closely located to everything! We could walk a few blocks to the grocery, restaurants and the wharf.

Each of the rooms is well furnished and comfortable. There were no complaints about the mattresses!

I highly recommend this home for a great vacation or work get away. hope I can go back.
