About George

I'am a 5th generation San Francisco native who has renovated and restored this classic SF Victorian Home to it's original glory. Pictures do not do justice it was built in 1875 and is one of the first homes in the Marina/Cow Hollow district. Come and enjoy it's the best!

George purchased this house in 2012

Why George chose Marina District

I really love this home. It's just a great combination of San Francisco History, built in 1875, with the San Francisco of today. The photo is from the Marina which is a short walk from Scott Street. All that come here enjoy the location and history that this property has to offer.

What makes this house unique

Location, safety, views, great restaurants nightlife and shopping. Reviews by travelers confirm all of this.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came to SF with our daughter, son-in-law & our 2 teenage grandsons to experience the city and take in a show. The city of love :-) did not disappoint - and neither did this wonderful old home. This was a perfect space for us - lots of room and quiet spaces - totally equipped with everything we needed. This old home was very welcoming. The high ceilings and beautifully decorated space made us feel as if we had stepped into the home of George Bailey in - It's a Wonderful Life. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you George!

Great location

Beautiful house, close to everything. We did not have any issues, but if there were George was very easy to get a hold of. Enjoyed our stay in both the city and house. Thanks

Great location! Good character!

  • 5 of 5

We came to this home for a week with 7 adults, a 5-year-old and a toddler and it worked out very well! The large dining room was great so that we could all eat together. Living space was nice as well, the high ceilings throughout made it seem so much bigger. The windows throughout were wonderful, giving us a lot of daylight. The outdoor space was utilized a few times when the weather was permitting (and air quality was OK), it was a very nice space. The lower part could use some work though, has good potential but doesn't seem to be tended to. Overall, we loved the home and all it had to offer. Plenty of towels and access to the washer when needed. We would definitely come back here some day!

Great location

  • 4 of 5

We Enjoyed our stay here. The house is old and needs a lot of work but everything worked ok including wifi. Dishwasher old and we could not figure it out. The location is terrific walking distance to restaurants, bars, and various stores. The owner was easy to reach and helpful.
