Large 4 bedroom 2 bath home on Hamlin Creek with private deep water dock. Great for fishing, boating, awesome sunsets or just relaxing. Only 3 blocks to the beach. Upstairs: Kitchen, Large living room with flat screen TV, Bedroom with king and TV, Bedroom with queen and TV, 1 full bath. Dining area, Deck with gas grill.

Great view of waterway!

We have stayed at this rental twice. We love the dock and fishing off it. Only caught two fish, a hammerhead shark and a whiting?. Nancy was responsive to all our questions.

Great location and sunsets

House lived up to its billing, the house was clean, comfortable and roomy. The best feature is the dock out back where you can enjoy incredible sunsets over the city of Charleston in the distance. Grocery store and restaurants/bars within walking distance. Great place.

This house is literally on the creek-- it has a dock for fishing, crabbing and sunsets just steps away from the back door and a stunning view of the water and marsh from the living rooms (upstairs and down) and the two-story glassed-in stairwell. From the front door, you cross Palm Blvd. and almost immediately see the ocean; you can be on the beach in no more than five minutes' walk. You can also very easily and very quickly walk to Acme, a good seafood restaurant with all the local specialities (but in high season, do take care crossing Palm Blvd.). The Harris-Teeter, a new-ish, high-end grocery store with a great wine and beer selection as well as prepared foods and the full range of regular groceries, is about a three-minute drive from the house. And getting to Sullivans Island, Mt. Pleasant and downtown Charleston is so much faster from this location than it is from Wild Dunes.

The house itself is comfortably and attractively furnished and all the essentials are there and in good shape. The tasteful decor hits a really appealing note-- more welcoming and homier than a sterile rental property but impersonal enough to keep you from feeling like you're trespassing in someone's house. The recently renovated kitchen is particularly functional-- everything you need and it's all very straightforward. And, again, the view from the living room is spectacular.

Nancy was so easy to work with-- flexible, accommodating, reliable and pleasant. We were set to move in the day after an historic, record-breaking snow and ice storm and, despite the considerable complications that created, Nancy made it happen for us. We were grateful... and impressed.

[One small caveat. There were record-breaking overnight low temperatures while we were there and while we were toasty warm in the upstairs (the heating system is very strong and very responsive), it seemed like the downstairs was on the chilly side. This is irrelevant for 95% of the people who will rent this property but if you do find yourself there during one of Charleston's rare very cold snaps, plan on sticking to the upstairs.]

On top of all of this, the price is a fair one, given the size and quality of the property.

Just Delightful.... Every single day ☀️🌴

We arrived for our son's wedding on Sullivan's Island . 🌴�The location was perfect with so many of our family members on Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms. This house was everything that we'd hoped it would be. Three short blocks to the beach, but who needed the beach with our own deep water dock. There was always someone fishing and crabbing on the dock from dawn till sunset ( and later). The sunsets (with some wine 🍷�) were absolutely stunning. Everything was within walking distance, grocery store, local bars and restaurants. The house had so much room for our family. I feel like I can't say enough about this house. We are already planning next years vacation for this house. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time.

Nancy H was just a pleasure to deal with, she made everything so easy, after talking to her why we were coming, she even knew some of our future in laws( now in-laws).

O.K. I was just told by my family to add something negative, so here it is , the batteries were dead in one of the remotes Hahahaha .... who was watching TV

Awesome Family Vacation home if you love to fish & still be close to beach

We just returned home from our vacation and can't stop wishing we were still there. We traveled with another family and it was perfect for 2 families. The adults upstairs and the teenage kids downstairs. My husband and the kids fished in the morning and at night before bed. They were in walking distance to the shops downtown, and also to the beach access. The linens were clean and it was just about ready for us when we got there at 4 on Saturday. Of course there were other homes we could have chosen, but with the dock access, close to town and grocery shopping, and a quick walk to the beach, this was priced very reasonably. When we do visit again I would rent this house.

Family Vacation House

Our stay was a long weekend over Labor Day. The house is roomy, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. We brought our boat via the Intracoastal Waterway and spent most of our days on the dock or out on the water. We cooked-in for supper 3 nights enjoying sunset cocktails and friendly boaters. The beach is 2 blocks and we brought our surfboards and loved having the ocean so close. The best of both worlds - deepwater and beach! We will definitely book again!
